Azt gondolják sokan, hogy a luxushotelekkel jár az az előjog, hogy ezeknek az épületeknek a falai közt minden kulturált, fényűző és érinthetetlen. Ezért választják a sztárok a legdrágább és legnagyobb hoteleket. A meggyilkolt férfi nem volt sztár, de ezzel az üggyel hamar a címlapokra fog kerülni.
Írországban a legfényűzőbbnek számító hotel a Ballyfin Demesne. Korábban Kim Kardashian és Kanye West itt töltöttek 5 napot a nászútjuk részeként. Ezúttal nem egy sztárlátogatás miatt vált a szóbeszéd tárgyává a népszerű luxuhotel: egy amerikai férfit találtak holtan a fürdőszobája padlóján.
A férfi a tragédia előtt néhány órával érkezett az Egyesült Államokból ‒ írja a The Mirror.

Egy férfi 603 éjszakát töltött fizetés nélkül az indiai Delhi egyik ötcsillagos hotelében, a rendőrség csalás ügyében indított nyomozást – jelentette csütörtökön a The Guardian című brit napilap.
Sajtóértesülések szerint Ankus Dutta eredetileg egy éjszakára jelentkezett be a Roseate House hotelbe 2019. májusában, ám egészen 2021. január 22-ig ott maradt, 70 ezer fontos (30,2 millió forint) számlát hagyva maga után.
A hotel vezetősége bűnrészesség miatt a létesítmény több alkalmazottja ellen is panaszt tett. A dolgozókat azzal gyanúsítják, hogy kenőpénz ellenében a szálloda belső számítógépes rendszerét is manipulálták.
Az Indian Express című indiai lap úgy tudja, a férfi számlákat hamisított azért, hogy elfedje a fennálló tartozásokat.
