A P&O Iona sétahajó fedélzetén több utas is gyomor-bélrendszeri betegség tüneteiről számolt be. A fedélzeten levők utasok szerint a helyzet elkeserítő.
A P&O Cruises nevű vállalat Iona nevű tengerjáró hajója, amely több mint 5000 utast és 1800 alkalmazottat szállít, jelenleg egy észak-európai körutazáson van, de a nyaralás gyorsan rémálommá vált – olvasható a Sky News-on.
A fedélzeten kitört gyomor-bélrendszeri fertőzés – valószínűleg norovírus miatt – a helyzet katasztrofális, és egyre több embert érint a rosszullét.
„Az emberek úgy hullanak, mint a legyek” – mesélte egyik utas, aki arról is beszélt, hogy a fertőzés miatt a számos programot el kellett halasztani.
A helyzetet ezen felül az is súlyosbítja, hogy a hajó orvosi központja nem tud megfelelő gyógyszereket biztosítani a jelenlegi állapotokra. A P&O Cruises közölte, hogy a fertőzött utasok teljes visszatérítést kapnak, ha nem tudtak részt venni a part menti programokon.
A hajó személyzete a helyi közegészségügyi hatóságokkal együtt dolgozik a fertőzés terjedésének megállításán. A P&O Cruises vezetősége hangsúlyozta: mindent elkövetnek a fertőzés további terjedésének megfékezésére, és az utasok biztonságát helyezik előtérbe.

A Philipp Oldendorff teherszállítóhajó legénysége Tenerifétől mintegy 815 kilométerre délre észlelte, hogy egy emberekkel teli, kenuszerű csónak sodródik nyíltvizen. Miközben elsősegélyben részesítették a menekülteket, a térségbe irányították az Insignia luxushajót, hogy ideiglenesen gondoskodjon róluk – írja a CNN.
A hatvannyolc túlélő mellett az Oceania Cruises tulajdonában lévő Insignia fedélzetére három holttestet is átemeltek. A rossz időjárási viszonyok miatt azonban két ember földi maradványait hátra kellett hagyniuk, illetve az egyik súlyos állapotban lévő menekült elhunyt, mielőtt egy helikopterrel kórházba tudták volna szállítani.
Az összesen hatszázhetven utas befogadására alkalmas luxushajó épp egy száznyolcvan napos világkörüli úton van, és a menekülteket – köztük három nőt és három gyermeket – a tenerifei hatóságoknak adják majd át.
A spanyol belügyminisztérium adatai szerint 2024 .január 1. és június 15. között 23 037 menekült érkezett az országba a tengeren keresztül, ez 122,6 százalékos növekedés a tavalyi év azonos időszakához képest. A Walking Borders migrációs jogvédő szervezet pedig nemrég közölte, hogy az év első öt hónapjában közel ötezer ember halt meg a tengeren útban Spanyolország felé, ez azt jelenti, hogy naponta harminchárman vesztették életüket.

Már a horgonyt is ledobták, de a hajó így is beleütközött a mólóba.
A Celestyal Journey sétahajó a tervek szerint érkezett a törökországi Kusadasi kikötőjébe, azonban a kapitány elszámolta a tengeri csomókat és későn kezdett el lassítani.
A személyzet észlelve a problémát gyorsan ledobta a horgonyt, de még ez sem volt elég ahhoz, hogy megakadályozzák, hogy a több mint 200 méter hosszú luxusjacht a kikötő dokkjának ütközzön.
Az ütközés csak minimális kárt okozott a hajóban és a mólóban. A fedélzeten és a parton nem jelentettek sérülteket.
A Celestyal Journeyt 1994-ban tették vízre. A tengerjáró 630 kabinnal rendelkezik, köztük 149 erkélyessel. Hét exkluzív étterem, valamint nyolc bár és társalgó is a vendégek rendelkezésére áll.

Kiszabadították az Ocean Explorer luxushajót, amely Grönland északkeleti partvidékén feneklett meg 206 emberrel a fedélzetén – közölte csütörtökön a dán fegyveres erők szóvivője.
A mentést koordináló dán északi-sarki parancsnokság megerősítette, hogy a luxushajót a Grönlandi Természeti Erőforrások Intézet Tarajoq nevű halászati kutatóhajója szabadította ki csütörtökön dagály idején.
A luxustengerjáró tulajdonosa közleményben számolt be arról, hogy a tengerjárót egy közeli kikötőbe húzzák, ahol kárfelmérést végeznek, az utasokat pedig egy másik kikötőbe szállítják át, ahonnan hazarepülhetnek.
Vádemelésre vagy letartóztatásra nem került sor, de a dán tengerészeti hatóság felszólította a grönlandi rendőrséget a hajó zátonyra futásának és az esetleges jogsértéseknek a kivizsgálására. A vizsgálat kezdeti lépéseként a hajón tartózkodó egyik tiszt már megkezdte a legénység és az érintett személyek kihallgatását – közölte a rendőrség.
Az Ocean Explorer luxustengerjáró hétfőn feneklett meg az iszapban az Északi-sarkkörnél lévő Alpefjordban, az Északkelet-grönlandi Nemzeti Park területén.
Az elmúlt napokban kétszer már megkísérelték a kiszabadítását, de a próbálkozások nem jártak sikerrel. A harmadik alkalommal, szerdán egy grönlandi kutatóintézet halászhajója a dagály segítségével akarta lehúzni a zátonyról, de ez is kudarcot vallott.
Az MV Ocean Explorer fedélzetén 206 ember tartózkodik, az utasok között ausztrálok, új-zélandiak, dél-koreaiak, britek és amerikaiak is vannak.
