Csütörtökön konfliktus alakult ki az utasok között a Kontraktova Ploscsa metróállomáson, amelynek következtében az egyikük kést rántott és megsebesített két személyt – számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál a kijevi rendőrség közleményére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a metróban a peronon az utasok között konfliktus tört ki, amely verekedéssé fajult. Az egyik férfi, egy 35 éves kijevi lakos, kést rántott és megszúrta két ellenfelét. Mindkét sérültet kórházba szállították, egyiküknek az arcán volt vágása, a másiknak a kezén.
A rendőrség a büntetőeljárási törvénykönyv 208. cikkelyének megfelelően a helyszínen őrizetbe vette a támadót. Az elkövető akár hét év börtönbüntetésre is számíthat.

A július 15-én New Yorkot sújtó pusztító felhőszakadás az elmúlt év egyik legszélsőségesebb időjárási eseményének bizonyult: óránként több mint 52 milliméter eső zúdult a városra. Az infrastruktúra gyorsan összeomlott, víz ömlött a metróalagútakba, áramkimaradások bénították meg a közlekedést, és több ezer járatot kellett törölni.
New York belvárosában július 15-én szokatlan erővel ömlött az eső, amely a város második legnagyobb órán belüli csapadékmennyiségét produkálta – több mint 52 mm esett.
A csatornarendszer túlterhelt lett, ennek következtében több metróállomáson áttört a víz, és utasok rekedtek el a peronokon és szerelvényeken – erről számos felvétel is készült az 1., 2. és 3-as vonalon, különösen a 28. utcai állomáson, ahol az üléseken álltak az emberek, akkora volt a víz.
A mentési és helyreállítási munkálatok azonnal megindultak: több vonalon a szolgáltatást mindkét irányban felfüggesztették, a város több kerületében utakat zártak le, óriási volt a káosz.
A repülőtéri forgalom is akadozott: a JFK, a LaGuardia és a Newark járatai több órát késtek.
A metrók működésének visszaállítása csak hajnalra sikerült. Szerencsére nem történt haláleset – a városvezetés azonnal reagált, és a lakosság jól együttműködött a válsághelyzetben. Ezzel szemben
New Jerseyben két nő halt meg, miután autójukat az ár elsodorta, ezért a tagállam később rendkívüli állapotot hirdetett.

Gyilkossággal és gyújtogatással gyanúsítják azt a férfit, aki egy New York-i metrószerelvényen felgyújtva megölt egy nőt. Kedden először állt bíróság elé a 33 éves férfi.
A 33 éves Sebastian Zapeta ellen, aki a rendőrség szerint egy brooklyni hajléktalanszállón él, a brooklyni büntetőbíróságon három vádpontban emeltek vádat gyilkosság és gyújtogatás miatt. A Reuters által szemlézett rendőrségi beszámoló szerint Zapeta vasárnap a Coney Island – Stillwell Avenue metróállomáson egy öngyújtóval meggyújtotta egy nő ruháját, aki látszólag aludt. Ezután egy inggel addig legyezte a tüzet, amíg a nő lángokba nem borult – áll a feljelentésben.
A nőt a tűz eloltása után a helyszínen halottnak nyilvánították, az orvosszakértő szerint a halál okai füstmérgezés és hősérülések voltak. A rendőrség még dolgozik a nő azonosításán a panasz szerint.
A vádemelés során Jung Park bíró elrendelte Zapeta börtönbe zárását, várhatóan pénteken ismét bíróság elé kell állnia, ahol valószínűleg vallomást tesz. A bűncselekmények miatt, amelyekkel Zapetát vádolják, akár életfogytiglani börtönbüntetést is kiszabhat a bíróság. Az Egyesült Államok Belbiztonsági Minisztériuma hétfőn közölte, hogy Zapeta guatemalai állampolgár, aki jogellenesen lépett be az országba, és ezért kitoloncolási eljárást indítanak ellene.
Korábban már kiderült, hogy a támadás előtt nem volt semmilyen interakció közöttük, így nem valószínű, hogy a két ember ismerte egymást. Miközben az állomáson járőröző rendőrök a tűzhöz siettek, a férfi leszállt a metróról, és egy padon ülve nézte végig a mentés minden részletét.

Az elkövető a gyújtogatás után nem menekült el a helyszínről, hanem egy időre leült egy padra a peronon; így a térfigyelő kamerák tiszta és jó minőségű felvételeket tudtak készíteni róla.
A fotók közzététele után három gimnazista is felismerte a tettest, és bejelentésük után nem sokkal egy manhattani állomáson vették őrizetbe a férfit.
Az áldozat és a gyújtogató személyéről a rendőrség nem árult el további részleteket de azt közölték, hogy a bűncselekményt megelőzően nem volt semmilyen kapcsolat a két személy között; így a nyomozók úgy gondolják, hogy nem ismerték egymást.
A naponta 4 millió utast szállító New York-i metróban viszonylag ritkán történnek hasonlóan erőszakos bűncselekmények. A bűnügyi statisztika ugyanakkor azt mutatja, hogy 2024-ben novemberig 9 gyilkosság történt, ami csaknem kétszerese az előző év azonos időszakában történt 5 emberölésnek.

A Nemzeti Gárda és a rendőrség csaknem 1000 tagja vigyáz mostantól a New York-i metróval közlekedők biztonságára. A földalatti járműveken egyre elszaporodó erőszakos bűncselekmények megállítása érdekében a város kormányzója szigorú intézkedések bevezetéséről döntött. A lakosságot megosztja az egyenruhások jelenléte és poggyászaik szúrópróba szerű ellenőrzése.
A Híradó felvételein alaposan átvizsgálják egy utas táskáját a hatóságok New Yorkban. Az ellenőrzés azonban nem a repülőtéren, hanem egy metróállomáson zajlik. A hét közepétől mindennapossá váltak az ilyen és ehhez hasonló föld alatti jelenetek a metropoliszban.
Az egyenruhások ellepték a keleti parti nagyváros metróállomásait. Ott vannak a lejáratoknál, a beengedő kapuknál, a peronokon, de még a közlekedő kocsikon is kísérik az utasokat. New York kormányzója azért rendelte ki a Nemzeti Gárda egységeit, hogy vigyázzanak az emberek biztonságára. Az elmúlt időszakban ugyanis drámaian megnőtt a föld alatti járműveken a bűncselekmények száma.
„A New York-i Nemzeti Gárda 750 tagja, valamint az állami és a helyi rendőrség további 250 embere lesz jelen. Jelen lesznek az ellenőrzőpontokon, hogy meggyőződjenek arról, senkinél sincs fegyver. Mert senkinek nem lenne szabad attól tartania, hogy a mellette ülő személy halálos fegyvert birtokol” – fogalmazott a kormányzó.
Az egyenruhások jelenléte mellett több mint ezer térfigyelő kamerát szereltek fel a szerelvényekre és az állomásokon.
New York lakóit megosztották az intézkedések.
„A poggyászellenőrzés a személyes tulajdonom átnézése, és ehhez nem járulok hozzá. Nem engedem a boltban sem, miért engedném a metróban?” – vélekedett egy nő.
A szigorítások ellenzői között volt, aki azt sérelmezte, hogy sok időt vesz igénybe, amíg a rendőrök átnézik a táskákat, miközben az emberek sietnének. Az utasok másik fele azonban kifejezetten örül a szúrópróba szerű ellenőrzéseknek.
„Lehet, hogy még mindig vannak köztünk terroristák. Őszintén, azt gondolom, szükség van itt a rendőrökre. Csak védik az embereket” – mondta egy férfi.
New York földalatti szerelvényeit naponta körülbelül 3 millió ember használja.
Idén már 3 gyilkosság történt a metróban, míg tavaly egész évben 5 volt.
Egy gyanúsítottat még mindig keresnek a rendőrök. A kormányzó abban bízik, hogy a biztonsági szigorítások elrettentik a bűnözőket.

A mexikóvárosi Raza állomáson összeütközött két metrószerelvény szombaton. A balesetben egy fiatal nő vesztette életét – közölte Omar Garcia, a város biztonságért felelős vezetője a Grupo Milenio helyi médiának.
Négy másik személyt, akik a 3-as vonal egyik vagonjában rekedtek, kimentettek, és jó egészségnek örvendenek – közölte Mexikóváros polgármestere.
A metrón egyébként számos baleset történt az elmúlt években. A legsúlyosabb 2021 májusában történt, amikor a 12-es vonalon összeomlott egy vasúti felüljáró, amely 26 ember életét követelte, és több, mint 60-an megsérültek.

A Massachusetts Bay Közlekedési Hatóság szóvivője közölte, hogy egy 20-25 utast szállító kétkocsis, nyugatra tartó metró nekiütközött egy utasok nélküli kétkocsis szerelvénynek. A balesetben a társaság négy alkalmazottja sérült meg, őket a massachusettsi kórházba szállították.
Csütörtökre újraindult a forgalom az érintett szakaszon. Az ütközés körülményeit még vizsgálják a hatóságok. Az elmúlt időszakban több meghibásodás is történt a bostoni metróvonalon. Egy 39 éves férfi áprilisban halt meg, miután a karja beszorult a metrókocsi hibás ajtajába és a szerelvény magával sodorta.

Két év négyhavi szabadságvesztésre ítélte egy moszkvai bíróság Karomatullo Dzsaborov tádzsik bloggert, aki az orosz főváros metrójában tavaly februárban pánikot keltett azzal, hogy megrendezett egy jelenetet, amelyben egyik társa ájult koronavírusos fertőzöttnek tettette magát.
Az előzetesben letöltött időt figyelembe véve Dzsaborov, aki elismerte bűnösségét, rövidesen szabadulhat, ha az ügyészség és a moszkvai metró vezetősége nem fogja megfellebbezni az ítéletet. A vád négyévi szabadságvesztés kiszabását kérte.
Sztanyiszlav Iszacsenko és Artur Melehov orosz állampolgárságú másod- és harmadrendű vádlott felfüggesztett ítéletet kapott. Az ügyészség eredetileg háromévi szabadságvesztést indítványozott mindkettőjük számára.
2020. február 2-án, Dzsaborov jelzésére Iszacsenko egy metrókocsiban köhögni kezdett, majd eljátszotta, hogy hirtelen rosszul lett és összeesett. Két cinkosa azt kiáltozta, hogy a férfi koronavírussal fertőzött, és a szerelvény elhagyására szólította fel az utasokat. A riadalomról készült felvételeket megosztották a közösségi médiában.
Az Interfax hírügynökség hétfőn egy jogvédő csoportra hivatkozva azt írta, hogy koronavírus-fertőzéssel kórházba került Rita Flores (Margarita Konovalova), a Pussy Riot aktivista punkzenekar tagja, akit július 22-én 15 napi adminisztratív elzárásra ítéltek a rendőrséggel való szembeszegülés címén. A nyár eleje óta az együttes több tagját letartóztatás alá helyezték különböző címen. Hárman közülük a szabadulást követően elhagyták az országot.
Oroszországban az igazolt új fertőzöttek száma a hétfői hivatalos adatok szerint 23 508-cal 6 312 185-re emelkedett. Az új esetek közül 3330-at Moszkvában, 1914-et Szentpéterváron, 541-et Nyizsnyij Novgorod, 527-et Szverdlov, 483-at pedig Voronyezs megyében mutattak ki.
A napi növekmény országos szinten 0,37 százalék, az új esetek 9 százaléka volt tünetmentes. Az aktív esetek száma 511 265, a halálos áldozatok száma 785-tel 160 137-re, a felépülteké pedig 14 893-mal 5 640 783-ra emelkedett.
Oroszországban a járvány kezdete óta több mint 166,3 millió, az elmúlt napon pedig 441 ezer laboratóriumi tesztet végeztek el. Koronavírus-fertőzés gyanújával jelenleg 1 239 271 embert tartanak orvosi megfigyelés alatt.
