Szombatra virradóra lezuhant egy ukrán MiG-29-es vadászgép Poltava megyében, a pilótának sikerült katapultálnia – számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál az ukrán fegyveres erők légierejének Telegram-közlésére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint szombatra virradó éjszaka megszakadt a kapcsolat egy MiG-29-es vadászgéppel, amely harci feladatot hajtott végre Poltava megye fölött. „Megerősítjük a repülőgép elvesztését, azonban a pilóta sikeresen katapultált, felvette a kapcsolatot a kutató-mentő csapattal, és azonnal egészségügyi intézménybe szállították vizsgálatra és a szükséges segítségnyújtásra” – jelentette a légierő. Az okokat és a körülményeket jelenleg vizsgálják.
Mint emlékezetes, június 16-án egy ukrán Szu-24M bombázó zuhant le Hmelnickij megyében. A hadsereg tisztázta, hogy a pilóta és a navigátor – Zaharulko Bohdan őrnagy és Babenko Olekszandr főhadnagy – Hmelnickij megyében teljesítettek feladatokat. A repülőgép-szerencsétlenség következtében mindketten életüket vesztették.
