Elmondása szerint a templom teteje vasbeton, így a fő szerkezetek megmaradtak. A közösségnek azonban sok erőfeszítést kell tennie a templom helyreállításáért.

Április 4-én rendkívüli ülést tartott a Hmelnickiji Városi Tanács, mivel nemrégiben megvertek egy katonai papot a moszkvai patriarchátushoz tartozó ukrán ortodox egyház templomában – számolt be a vsim.ua helyi kiadvány számolt be.
Az ülésen 38 képviselő jelent meg. Az első határozat kifejezetten a katedrálissal kapcsolatban született meg. A képviselők megszüntették a korábban a moszkvai patriarchátushoz tartozó Ukrán ortodox egyházhoz tartozó székesegyház területén lévő földterület használati jogát. Ezt a határozatot egyhangúlag fogadták el. A 0,64 hektárnyi terület a Volodimirszka utca 113. szám alatt található.
Ezen kívül a képviselők 11 hasonló vallási szervezetet illetően vonták meg a földterületek használati jogát.
Az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat több bizonyítékot is összegyűjtött egy moszkvai patriarchátushoz tartozó kárpátaljai pap ellen, aki vallási ellenségeskedést szított a megyében.
A pap az elmúlt évben több alkalommal is sértegette azon ukránok vallási nézeteit, akik úgy döntöttek, december 25-én ünneplik ezentúl Jézus születését, valamint élesen fogalmazott az ukrán pravoszláv egyház képviselőiről is.
Az ügyben továbbra is folyik a nyomozás, hamarosan a bíróság döntést hoz az intézkedéseket illetően. A vizsgálatot az SZBU, a Nemzeti Rendőrség és a megyei ügyészség végezte.

A kiadvány szerint, ahogy az ilyen esetekben lenni szokott, az elnöki rendeletet hivatalosan nem teszik közzé, mert személyes adatokat tartalmaz. A hírportál forrásai szerint azonban az Ukrán Ortodox Egyház 13 papja ukrán állampolgárságának a felfüggesztéséről van szó.
A cikk szerint elsősorban Ionafan tulcsini és braclavi metropolitáról van szó, akit az Ukrán Biztonsági Szolgálat (SZBU) hazaárulással gyanúsított meg. A rendelkezésre álló információk szerint a metropolitának orosz állampolgársága is van. Az érintettek közt van a Tulcsini Egyházmegye vikáriusa, Szerhij Ladizsin püspök, aki nagyon közel áll Ionafanhoz.
A Levij Beregnek sikerült azt is megtudnia, hogy az Állami Migrációs Szolgálat is megkapta a megfelelő értesítést a jelzett papok állampolgárságának megszüntetéséről. A jelenleg hatályos jogszabályok szerint a jövőben kiutasíthatják őket. A hírportál közlése szerint később teszi közzé a 13 fős teljes listát.
