Az elmúlt napok viharai megrongálták Horvátország legnagyobb naperőművét a közép-dalmáciai Zára (Zadar) közelében, az obrovaci egykori timföldgyár területén – számolt be vasárnap a horvát közszolgálati televízió (HRT).
A 14 és fél hektáron elterülő 5 megawattos erőműnek, amelyet egy éve adtak át rendeltetésének, 3500 háztartást kellene volna elektromos árammal ellátnia. Példátlan esetről van szó, és felvetődik a kérdés, hogy Velebit környéke alkalmas-e ilyen jellegű beruházásokra – közölte a HRT. Ivan Matic környezetvédelmi aktivista elmondta: a kegyetlen bóra erősebbnek bizonyult, mint a modern technológia.
„Nincs nagyobb fa az egész környéken, ha van, akkor az elhajlott. Itt évszázadok óta tombol a bóra, és mindent elpusztít, ami az útjába kerül”
– fogalmazott Matic.
A bóra az isztriai és dalmát tengerparton legtöbbször a téli évszakban fújó száraz, hideg szél, időnként rendkívül erős rohamokkal. Az osztrák-szlovén beruházás 5 millió euróba került. A vihar most több száz napelemet szakított le, elhajlította a tartószerkezetet, lebontotta a kerítést és leállította a termelést. A 30 kilogrammos paneleket könnyedén szétszórta a környező utakra, amelyek szerencsére le voltak zárva a forgalom előtt az erős széllökések miatt. Hozzávetőleges becslések szerint az erőmű csaknem fele megsemmisült – adta hírül a HRT.
