Október 22-én hajnalban baleset történt a Huszt–Dolina autóúton, Majdánkán. Az előzetes információk szerint a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter mikrobusz sofőrje elvesztette uralmát a jármű felett, az árokba hajtott és az oldalára borult.
A sofőrnek sikerült kiszabadulnia, azonban az utas az autóban ragadt. A férfit a tűzoltóság szabadította ki a járműből, majd az Ökörmezői Járási Központi Kórházba szállította.
A baleset pontos körülményeit tisztázza a rendőrség.

Kijevi férfit tartóztattak le Ökörmezőtől nem messze, Iszkán, mert több személyt is fenyegetett egy üdülőközpont területén.
A rendőrséget az elkövető felesége értesítette a történtekről. Elmondta, hogy férje többet ivott a kelleténél, éjszaka hirtelen felébredt, felvett egy puskát és fenyegetni kezdte anyósát és apósát. Több lövést is leadott a levegőbe, szerencsére senki nem sérült meg.
A rendőrség letartóztatta a férfit, lefoglalta a nála lévő fegyvert és a hozzá tartozó 10 töltényt. Az ügyben folyik a nyomozás, a 39 éves kijevi férfire akár 7 év börtönbüntetés is várhat.

Június 28-án 15:30–17:30-ig heves széllökéseket és viharos jégesőt észleltek az ökörmezői járásban. Két óra alatt 119 mm, a csapadék 20 napos normája esett. Hirtelen megemelkedett a vízszint és a földcsuszamlásokat okozott. Az ökörmezői Toronyán a patak folyóvá duzzadt, elmosta az út egy részét és megrongálta a hidakat. Leveles településen egy új épületet és két lakóházat árasztott el a víz. A helyszínen tartózkodik a járás vezetősége, a Katasztrófavédelmi Szolgálat szakemberei, a rendőrség, a közútkezelő szolgálat munkatársai, számolt be a Kárpátaljai Megyei Közigazgatási Hivatal sajtóközpontja.

Az Ökörmezői Járási Kórház közleményben fordult a lakossághoz, mely szerint az intézményben 61 páciens tartózkodik tüdőgyulladással, közülük 44 betegnél mutattál ki a koronavírus-fertőzést, 9 beteg teszteredményére pedig még várni kell.
Június 23. folyamán a kórházban két személy vesztette életét a Covid–19 miatt: egy gombástelepi és egy alsókalocsai lakos. Az egészségügyi dolgozók Facebook-oldalukon hívták fel a lakosság figyelmét a szabályok betartásának fontosságára.
„Felhívjuk minden elővigyázatos, hívő ember figyelmét! Intézményünk már erején felül teljesít. A megyei kórházak tele vannak betegekkel. Minél előbb meg kell fékeznünk a járvány terjedését! Nem szeretnénk megismételni az olasz forgatókönyvet, ahol a páciensek a folyosó padlóján feküdtek, s az egészségügyi dolgozók nem tudták, hogy milyen emberi, keresztény vagy szakértelmi alapon döntsenek azt illetően, hogy kinek nyújtsanak segítséget. Segítsenek nekünk, hogy kevesebb beteg legyen, hogy az önökhöz közel álló emberek és családtagjaik ne betegedjenek meg! Vegyék fel a maszkot a tömeges helyeken, tartsák be a távolságot egymás között, s csak szükség esetén látogassanak nyilvános helyeket (boltokat, gyógyszertárakat, stb.). Vigyázzanak magukra és egymásra” – olvasható a közleményben.

Február 18-án, az esti órákban érkezett a bejelentés a rendőrséghez, miszerint szúrt sebbel szállítottak kórházba egy 62 éves férfit. Az eset Ökörmezőn történt, a hatóságokat a mentőszolgálat ügyeletes orvosa értesítette.
A helyszínre kiérkező rendőrök megállapították, hogy a férfi 61 éves felesége egy családi vita közepette kést rántott, s megsebezte férjét. A sérültet a járási kórház intenzív osztályán kezelik. A mentőszolgálatot a férfi fia értesítette, aki szemtanúja volt a történteknek.

Halálos kimenetelű közlekedési baleset történt az ökörmezői járási Kispatak településen február 14-én.
Egy mikrobusz sofőrje elvesztette uralmát a jármű felett, s a folyóba zuhant. A sofőr a helyszínen életét vesztette, a holttestet csak speciális technikai felszereléssel tudták kiszabadítani a mikrobuszból.
A helyszínen jelenleg is dolgoznak a hatósági munkatársak, bővebb információra az esetről később lehet számítani.
