A norvég elektromos hálózat üzemeltetője, a Statnett olajszivárgást észlelt, amelynek következtében 50-60 tonna olaj szivárgott ki egy elhagyott transzformátorállomáson, Oslo közelében.
A transzformátor megsérült, és ennek következtében az olaj elkezdett szivárogni. „Úgy tűnik, hogy valaki átvágta a kerítést, majd meglazította a transzformátor tetejét, és így az olaj elkezdett szivárogni” – mondta a vállalat képviselője, Thomas Fennefoss.
A rendőrség nyomozást indított az ügyben.
A tűzoltóság vasárnap délután értesítette a Statnettet az olajszivárgásról. A Statnett azonnal embereket irányított a helyszín ellenőrzésére, és megállapították, hogy a szivárgás nem az új transzformátorállomásról származik.

A helyi sajtó szerint az incidens csütörtök délután történt, jelentős mennyiségű üzemanyag ömlött az egyik hajó fedélzetére és a dokk vizébe. A Deurganck rakpartot lezárták az érkező, a kifutó és az áthaladó hajók előtt, továbbá a világ legnagyobb víztérfogatú gátját, a Kieldrecht zsilipet is, hogy megakadályozzák az olaj terjedését. A hatóságok a nap folyamán drónnal figyelték a szivárgást, és sikerült megakadályozni, hogy az olaj a Scelde folyó vizébe kerüljön.
„A szivárgás következtében közel egytucatnyi tengerjáró hajó is szennyeződött. Ezeket meg kell tisztítani, mielőtt elhagyhatják a dokkot” – mondta a kikötő szóvivője.
A kikötői hatóságok oldószerekkel és magasnyomású mosókkal kezelik a szennyezett hajókat, hogy eltávolítsák az olajat. Ez még néhány napot igénybe vehet, és egyes hajóknak hosszabb ideig kell a dokkban maradniuk.
Egyelőre korlátozottak a kikötési lehetőségek a Deurganck rakparton, a kikötő szorosan figyelemmel kíséri a helyzetet, és mindent megtesz, hogy megtisztítsa a dokk vizét és korlátozza a kiömlő olaj okozta károkat – közölte a szóvivő.

A Dnyeperi Vízerőmű elleni orosz terrortámadás következtében talajszennyezést észleltek, mivel olajtermékek szivárogtak a Dnyeperbe – közölte pénteken az rbc.ua hírportál be a Déli Körzeti Állami Környezetvédelmi Felügyelőségre hivatkozva.
A hivatal tájékoztatása szerint a szakemberek már vettek talajmintákat, és laboratóriumi vizsgálatokat végeznek a szennyezettség mértékének megállapítása érdekében. Ezen túlmenően meghatározták az olajszennyezés által érintett terület nagyságát: a Szlavutics utca mentén több mint 7200 négyzetméter, a Petro Szahajdacsnij az utca mentén több mint 300 négyzetméter.
Környezetvédők megállapították a kőolajtermékek Dnyeperbe szivárgását is. A környezeti károk megállapítására vízmintákat is vettek. „Minden beérkezett anyagot átadunk a Déli Körzeti Állami Környezetvédelmi Felügyelőség törzsének és a környezetvédőknek” – áll a közleményben.

Veszélybe kerülhet csaknem százezer Fülöp-szigeteki megélhetése amiatt, hogy kőolaj ömlik a tengerbe egy két hete elsüllyedt tartályhajóból – közölte hétfőn Humerlito Dolor, Kelet-Mindoro tartomány kormányzója, ahol a hajószerencsétlenség történt.
A tartályhajóból annak ellenére még most is ömlik az olaj, hogy tulajdonosa már kísérletet tett a szivárgás megszüntetésére távirányítású tengeralattjáróval – tette hozzá a kormányzó. A március elsején, Manilától 160 kilométerre délre elsüllyedt Princess Empress nevű tartályhajó 800 000 liter olajat szállított.
A kormányzó szerint a hajószerencsétlenség okozta olajszivárgás, ennek következtében a tenger- és partszennyezés csaknem húszezer családot és százezer embert – főként horgászokat – sújt a térségben. Az érintettek közül legalább 122 ember légzőszervi és egyéb megbetegedésekkel küzd.
