Holtan találtak rendelőjében pénteken egy osztrák orvost, aki halálos fenyegetéseket kapott oltásellenesektől és összeesküvés-elméletek terjesztőitől, miután sokat szerepelt a médiában a koronavírus-járvánnyal kapcsolatban és az interjúkban a védőoltás mellett érvelt.
A hatóságok közlése szerint a felső-ausztriai Lisa-Maria Kellermayr öngyilkosságot követett el vöcklaburgi rendelőjében, búcsúleveleket is hagyott maga után.
Az orvosnő korábban arról számolt be a honlapján, hogy hónapok óta megtorlással fenyegetik megnyilatkozásai miatt olyanok, akik ellenzik a járványügyi korlátozásokat és elutasítják a védőoltást. Halálos fenyegetéseket is kapott.
A fenyegetések miatt Kellermayr hosszabb időre rendőrségi védelmet kapott, de saját maga is 100 ezer eurót költött a biztonságára. Júniusban rendelője ideiglenes, majd július közepén végleges bezárását jelentette be, mondván, hogy senkinek sem kívánja azokat a munkakörülményeket, amelyek között az utóbbi hónapokban dolgoznia kellett.
Az osztrák közvéleményt sokkoló halálhírre reagálva vezető politikusok nemzeti egységre szólítottak fel. „Vessünk véget a megfélemlítésnek és a félelemkeltésnek! A gyűlöletnek és az intoleranciának nincs helye Ausztriában” – hangoztatta Alexander Van der Bellen köztársasági elnök. Az államfő felidézte, hogy az emberek fertőzéstől való védelmén, gyógyításán dolgozó orvost előbb az interneten, majd személyesen, a rendelőjében is megfenyegették.
A fenyegetések miatt indult eljárásban az osztrák ügyészség júniusban lezárta a vizsgálatot egy német állampolgárságú gyanúsított ügyében arra hivatkozva, hogy a német hatóságok az illetékesek. Az osztrák rendőrség ismeretlen személyek ellen vitte tovább a nyomozást.

A kanadai kamionsofőrök által inspirált tüntetők is több utcát lezártak járműveikkel, ám a 90 százalék fölötti átoltottsággal rendelkező országokban, ahol a lakosság túlnyomó többsége nem csinál gondot a negyed órát igénybe vevő procedúrából, a demonstrációk relatíve kicsik maradtak, noha időnként erőszakba torkolltak.

Az ellenzéket vezető Anthony Albanese szerint sem fognak széleskörű támogatottságot nyerni a tüntetők, akiket felszólított, hogy menjenek haza.
Új-Zélandon, ahol a csütörtöki demonstráción a rendőrség több mint 100 embert letartóztatott, szombaton nem vettek őrizetbe újabb tüntetőket, miközben az 5 milliós országban szombaton a járvány kezdete óta rekordnak számító 454 fertőzöttet találtak.

A tüntetők Wellingtonban, a parlament épülete előtt táboroztak le, jóllehet a rendőrség a területet csütörtök reggel lezárta, az ott lévőket pedig távozásra szólította fel. Néhányan úttorlaszokat is emeltek, és megpróbáltak behatolni az épületbe.
A területet a rendőrség továbbra is nagy erőkkel őrzi.

A Radio New Zealand nevű rádióállomás szerint a törvényhozás épülete előtt több kisebb összecsapás robbant ki a tüntetők és a rendőrök között. Kedden több ezren – vélhetően a Kanadából jelentett hasonló megmozdulások hatására – teherautókkal érkeztek a parlamenthez, így fejezve ki elégedetlenségüket a szigorú járványügyi rendeletek ellen.
Új-Zélandon több szektorban kötelezővé tették a koronavírus elleni oltást, és oltási igazoláshoz kötik a többi között a vendéglátóhelyek, a templomok és az edzőtermek látogatását is.
Az országnak a koronavírus-világjárvány nagyobb részében a szigorú rendelkezéseknek köszönhetően sikerült feltartóztatnia a kórokozó terjedését, és a mintegy 18 ezer igazolt fertőzés mellett 53 halálesetet regisztráltak a járvánnyal összefüggésben az ötmillió lakosú országban. A szigetország lakosainak 77 százaléka teljesen beoltott az Our World in Data nevű szervezet adatai szerint. Az omikron variáns megjelenése miatt tavaly Jacinda Ardern miniszterelnök azt mondta, egyelőre nem enyhítenek a járványügyi korlátozásokon.

A koronavírus megfékezését célzó intézkedések és a védőoltással kapcsolatos szabályozás ellen tüntetők eltorlaszolták Kanadában kedden és az Egyesült Államokkal közös, legfontosabb határátkelőjét.
Helyszíni beszámolók szerint az úton, amely az Ontarióban található Windsort köti össze a michigani Detroittal, kamionok és kisteherautók álltak keresztbe. Ez az út a két ország közötti legforgalmasabb határátkelő.
A windsori hatóságok azt közölték, hogy a járművek folyamatosan érkeznek a területre, az embereket pedig arra kérték, igyekezzenek más útvonalakon megközelíteni az Egyesült Államokat.
Emellett felszólították a tüntetőket, tartózkodjanak a közrend megzavarásától, emlékeztetve őket, hogy a szabálysértők ellen eljárást kezdeményeznek.
Az ottawai tüntetések alig több mint egy hete több száz teherautóból álló konvojjal kezdődtek. A sofőrök az ellen a január közepén bevezetett rendelkezés ellen tiltakoznak, amely arra kötelezi őket, hogy beadassák a koronavírus elleni oltást, ha az Egyesült Államokba vagy onnan kellene árut szállítaniuk. A kamionosok tiltakozásához azóta sok, a járványügyi rendeletekkel egyet nem értő ember csatlakozott, a demonstrálók azt akarják elérni, hogy „az élet térjen vissza a normális kerékvágásba”.
A „szabadság konvojaként” emlegetett, azóta több ezer teherautónyira duzzadt karaván január 30-án elérte a fővárost, Ottawát is, a sofőrök és a szimpatizánsok pedig a törvényhozás épülete előtt táboroztak le.
Justin Trudeau miniszterelnök a megmozdulás beszüntetésére szólított fel, amely szerinte „megbénítja a demokráciát”.
A környéken élők mindeközben a sajtónak a teherautók keltette zajra, és a folyamatos dudálásra panaszkodtak.
Bár a járvány kitörése óta a kanadaiak nagyrésze követte a kormány rendelkezéseit, az oltásra jogosultak csaknem 79 százaléka pedig a vakcina mindkét adagját felvette, a legutóbbi közvéleménykutatások szerint nő az elégedetlenség a járványügyi korlátozásokkal szemben.
A BBC brit hírtelevízió a múlt héten arról számolt be, hogy az oltásellenesek hangosak ugyan, de jelentős kisebbségben vannak, miután Kanada mintegy 120 ezer, nemzetközi áruforgalmat biztosító teherautósofője közül körülbelül 90 százalék vette fel az oltást.

Európa több városában tüntettek szombaton a kormányok járványügyi intézkedései ellen.
Az osztrák fővárosban ezrek vonultak az utcára a koronavírus elleni kötelező védőoltás bevezetésének terve ellen. „A kormány mondjon le” – skandálta a tömeg a bécsi óvárosban tartott szokásosnak nevezhető szombat esti demonstráción.
Az osztrák kormány novemberben jelentette be a negyedik országos karantént, és közölte, hogy – elsőként az Európai Unióban – kötelezővé kívánja tenni a védőoltást mindenki számára. A parlament várhatóan a jövő héten szavaz a indítványról.
Az észak-németországi Hamburgban több mint ezren vettek részt a vírustagadók és összeesküvéselméleteket vallók elleni megmozduláson „Összeesküvés-elméletek helyett szolidaritás és felvilágosodás” transzpararenssel. A megmozdulást eredetileg az oltásellenesek tüntetése ellen szervezték, amelyre legalább tizenöt-ezer résztvevőt vártak. A tüntetést azonban a rendőrség csütörtökön az omikron variáns jelentette fertőzésveszély miatt betiltotta.
Több tüntetést szerveztek szombaton Hamburgban, egyebek mellett a kormány Covid-19 világjárvánnyal kapcsolatos egészségügyi politikája elleni tiltakozásul. Rómában is ezrek tüntettek a kormány járványügyi politikája ellen. A Laterani Szent János téren – sajtójelentések szerint mintegy ötezer – összegyűlt tüntető előtt az egyik felszólaló hangsúlyozta: „Dühösek az emberek”.
Mario Draghi kormánya nemrégiben szigorított a karanténszabályokon, és egyebek mellett bevezette az ötven év felettiek számára kötelező védőoltást. Franciaország több városában is tiltakoztak szombaton az új oltási igazolás ellen. Több nagygyűlést tartottak Párizsban, az egyiket az Eiffel-toronnyal szemben. Lyonban, Nantes-ban, Bordeaux-ban és Marseille-ben is utcára vonultak az intézkedés ellenzői.

Az 53 éves Hayden Brown úgy gondolta, remek ötlet, ha pillanatragasztót fecskendez az oltóközpont ajtajának kulcslyukába, a célt viszont elérte, és senki se tudott bejutni az ajtón, hogy beoltassa magát. A férfi végül bíróság előtt ismerte be tettét, és elismerte a bűncselekményt, valamint a közveszély okozását is.
Miután korábban már két kísértetiesen hasonló eset is történt az oltóközpontban, a dolgozók felszereltettek egy kamerát, hátha elcsípik a vicces kedvű bűnözőt. Sikerrel is jártak, és amikor a férfit keresték a pillanatragasztós történet miatt, könnyű dolguk volt, hiszen a kamera mindent felvett.
A helyi felügyelő elmondta, az oltásra érkező 504 ember szinte kivétel nélkül idős volt, ezért még rosszabbkor történt meg az ízléstelen tréfa, hiszen sokan kifejezetten azért érkeztek volna az oltóközpontba, hogy felvegyék a koronavírus elleni védőoltást. Egy kis ráadás: a férfi annyira megijedt, hogy azt is beismerte a rendőröknek, hogy marihuána is volt nála – és a lakásában is.

Illegális demonstrációt tartott és újságírókra támadt az új típusú koronavírus (SARS-CoV-2) okozta betegség (Covid-19) elleni védőoltást elutasítók egy több száz fős csoportja szombaton Berlinben.
A német főváros egyik központi negyedében, Friedrichshainban a rendőrség adatai szerint nagyjából ötszázan gyűltek össze a nem engedélyezett tüntetésen. Több embert őrizetbe vettek a járványügyi előírások megsértése és a rendőrökkel szembeni ellenállás miatt.
A tüntetők több újságírót is megtámadtak. Egyiküktől – aki mobiltelefonjával filmezte az illegális demonstrációt – elvették készülékét, amelyet dulakodás után sikerült visszaszereznie. A feltételezett elkövetőnek rablási kísérlet miatt kell felelnie.
A Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) regionális közszolgálati médiatársaság beszámolója szerint a megmozdulás idejére, szombat délutánra eredetileg Nemet mondunk az oltási kényszerre címmel szerveztek tüntetést, amelyet azonban a fertőzésvédelmi szabályok várható megsértése miatt nem engedélyeztek, a szervezők mégis igyekeztek mozgósítani támogatóikat az interneten.
Németországban nem oltási kényszer, hanem oltási kötelezettség bevezetését tervezik. A várhatóan december 8-án hivatalba lépő új kormány tervei szerint felkérik a németek közösségének egészét érintő erkölcsi kérdések vizsgálatával és javaslatok megfogalmazásával foglalkozó független szakértői testületet, a Német Etikai Tanácsot (Deutscher Ethikrat), hogy az év végéig dolgozzon ki állásfoglalást, amelynek alapján meg lehet vitatni és el lehet dönteni az ügyet a szövetségi parlamentben (Bundestag). A kötelezettséget februártól vezethetik be. A kötelezettségszegés nem kényszerintézkedést, hanem szabálysértési bírságot vonna maga után.
Az ügyvezető szövetségi kormány legutóbbi, szombati adatai szerint az oltási kampány eddigi 345 napja alatt 126,6 millió adagot adtak be a Covid-19 elleni védőoltásokból. Teljes oltással 57,3 millió ember – a lakosság 68,9 százaléka – rendelkezik. A teljes oltás utáni frissítő adagot 13 millióan – a lakosság 15,7 százaléka – kapta meg.
A kampány az utóbbi napokban felgyorsult. A péntekkel zárult héten naponta átlagosan 743 ezer adagot – másodpercenként nagyjából kilenc oltást – adtak be. November elején még 300 ezer körül volt a napi átlag.
