Montenegróban is megjelent a koronavírus új, Afrika déli részén felfedezett omikron nevű változata – közölte a helyi sajtó vasárnap.
Az új vírustörzset egy családnál azonosították, amelynek egyik tagja a közelmúltban tért vissza a Dél-Afrikai Köztársaságból. Az orvosi jelentés szerint a vírushordozó montenegrói állampolgár nem volt beoltva a koronavírus ellen.
A regisztrált koronavírus-fertőzöttek száma Szerbiában vasárnapra 1613-mal 1 262 419-re, Koszovóban néggyel 161 132-re, Észak-Macedóniában 355-tel 217 025-re, Montenegróban 207-tel 158 283-ra, Bosznia-Hercegovinában pedig 853-mal 277 228-ra növekedett.
A járvány halálos áldozatainak száma Szerbiában az utóbbi 24 órában 39-cel 11 876-ra, Észak-Macedóniában 15-tel 7631-re, Montenegróban kettővel 2324-re, Bosznia-Hercegovinában pedig 23-mal 12 687-re növekedett. Koszovóban az elmúlt napon sem volt halálos áldozata a kórnak, a halottak száma így 2984 maradt.

Romániában is jelen van a koronavírus új, Afrika déli részén felfedezett omikron elnevezésű változata, miután Dél-Afrikából visszatért két betegnél mutatták ki a kórokozónak ezt a variánsát.
A hatóságok szombat esti közlése szerint egy 48 éves brassói nőnél és egy 59 éves kelet-romániai, valsui-i férfinál mutatták ki az omikron jelenletétét. A két személy karanténban van és tünetmentesek. Mindketten azzal a katonai repülőgéppel jöttek haza Johannesburgból, amellyel a román hatóságok november 30-án hazahozták a Dél-Afrikába rekedt állampolgáraikat. Alexandru Rafila egészségügyi miniszter már csütörtökön valószínűsítette, hogy a két személy az omikronnal fertőződött meg, de a vírusvariáns beazonosítására alkalmas szekvenciális elemzések eredményei csak szombaton lettek meg.
Kedden a Dél-Afrikából hazatért román állampolgárok között egy harmadiknak, egy nagybányai sportolónak is pozitív lett a koronavírus-tesztje, az ő estében még várják a szekvenciális elemzés eredményét.
Az egészségügyi hatóságok bejelentése után Nicolae Ciuca román miniszterelnök közölte: munkamegbeszélést hív össze vasárnapra a járványhelyzetet kezelő legfőbb döntéshozókkal, hogy megvitassák, milyen intézkedések szükségesek az omikron variáns megjelenése következtében.

A koronavírus Omicron törzse, amelyet szó szerint néhány napja fedeztek fel, nemcsak a szakértőket és az orvosokat ijesztette meg, hanem a világ vezető országai politikusait is.
Ismertté vált, hogy az Egyesült Királyság kormányának kezdeményezésére november 29-én a G7-ek országok egészségügyi miniszterei megvitatták a koronavírus új Omicron törzse kapcsán kialakult helyzetet, ami a WHO részéről is komoly aggodalmat váltott ki.
A rendkívüli értekezleten részt vett valamennyi G7 tagország egészségügyi minisztere – Nagy-Britannia, Franciaország, Németország, Olaszország, az Egyesült Államok, Kanada és Japán. A csúcstalálkozó részletei a közeljövőben lesznek ismertek.
Múlt pénteken Dél-Afrika egy új „Omicron” koronavírus törzs felfedését azt követően, hogy a hét folyamán hirtelen megnőtt a megbetegedések száma az országban, feltehetően az új variáns miatt. És már ma is elhangzottak nemzetközi nyilatkozatok, amelyek szerint valós a félelem annak kapcsán, hogy ezek a mutációk csökkentik a meglévő vakcinák hatékonyságát.
Az Európai Unió országai, valamint az Egyesült Királyság, Kanada, az Egyesült Államok és Izrael számos dél-afrikai országba korlátozták a járatait. Az Omicron okozta megbetegedéseket már azonosították Izraelben, Európában és az Egyesült Királyságban, Hollandiában 13 esetet regisztráltak a Dél-Afrikából érkező utasok között.
Emellett az Egyesült Királyság a csúcstalálkozóval kapcsolatos hivatalos nyilatkozatában megerősítette az információt, hogy november 30-tól az országban bevezetik a kötelező maszkviselését a közterületeken, többek között az üzletekben, bankokban, postahivatalokban, fodrászüzletekben és a tömegközlekedési eszközökön.
Emellett az Egyesült Királyság Oktatási Minisztériuma „határozottan ajánlotta”, hogy hétfőtől minden középiskola diákja, alkalmazottja és látogatója viseljen védőmaszkot. És minden utazónak, bármely külföldi országból tér vissza az Egyesült Királyságba függetlenül az oltási státusztól PCR-tesztet kell elvégeznie, valamint karanténba vonulnia annak negatív eredményéig.
November 29-tól Ukrajna is karanténba vonulásra kötelezi azokat az utazókat, akik olyan országból érkeznek, ahol már megerősítették az Omicron jelenlétét.
Ursula von der Leyen, az Európai Bizottság elnöke kijelentette, hogy az EU és a koronavírus oltóanyag-gyártók közötti megállapodások kötelezik az utóbbiakat, hogy adaptálják az oltóanyagot az új törzsekhez.
Az Európai Bizottság azt javasolja az uniós országoknak, hogy függesszék fel járataikat az afrikai kontinens azon déli országaival, amelyekben felfedték az új mutációt, és mindenki, aki onnan érkezik, köteles betartani a karantén követelményeit.
