Ausztriában a hírszerzés három embert vett őrizetbe, akiket iszlamista támadások előkészítésével gyanúsítanak – jelentette vasárnap az ország belügyminisztériuma.
Az MTI azt írja, hogy az őrizetbe vételekre azután került sor, hogy a hírszerzés a bécsi és a kölni dóm és egy madridi célpont elleni állítólagos támadás előkészületeire talált. Az osztrák belügy közölte, hogy, a biztonsági szolgálatok elővigyázatossági intézkedéseket vezetnek be az ünnepek idejére: többek közt fokozzák a közterek megfigyelését is.
Az osztrák Kurier azt írja, hogy a bécsi Stephansdom környékén jelenleg fokozott biztonsági óvintézkedések vannak érvényben. A rendőrség a következő napokban a főváros más templomaira is különös figyelmet fordít majd, különösen az istentiszteletek idején. A karácsonyi vásárokon is több járőr fog járőrözni, egyenruhások és civil ruhások egyaránt. Vészhelyzetben a rendőrség felhatalmazást kap a beléptetés ellenőrzésére. Bécsben fokozott terrorkészültségi szint van érvényben.
A kölni dóm környékén a német hatóságok szintén megerősítették a biztonsági szolgálatot. Szombaton a rendőrség nyomkereső kutyákkal is átkutatta a kölni dómot, de nem azonosították robbanóanyag nyomait. A hatóságok hozzátették, hogy az éjféli misére érkezőket szintén biztonsági ellenőrzésnek vetik majd alá. Eközben a Saar-vidéken őrizetbe vettek egy személyt merénylettervekről szóló értesülésekkel összefüggésben – közölték biztonsági források a sajtóval.

Iránban ismét őrizetbe vették Naszrin Szotudeh Szaharov-díjas iráni emberi jogi aktivistát, mert nem viselt nyilvános helyen fejkendőt – jelentette hétfőn a Farsz félhivatalos iráni hírügynökség.
Az ügyvédként dolgozó Szotudeh a hét végén a 17 évesen meghalt Armita Geravand temetésén vett részt, akit emberi jogi szervezetek szerint azért bántalmazott az erkölcsrendészet, mert nem viselte a kötelező fejkendőt.
Helyszíni beszámolók szerint Szotudeh a temetésen felemelte szavát a hatóságok ellen, „állami gyilkosságnak” nevezve Geravand halálát. A temetésen, ugyancsak helyszíni beszámolók szerint az ügyvédet és több társát is bántalmazták a biztonsági emberek.
Szotudeh mellett több más embert is őrizetbe vettek, róluk azonban a hatóságok egyelőre nem közöltek információt.
A halálbüntetés és a fejkendő kötelező viselése ellen küzdő, zömében ellenzékiek védelmét ellátó ügyvédet 2018-ban államellenes propaganda miatt 33 év börtönbüntetésre és 148 korbácsütésre ítélték. A börtönben egy időben éhségsztrájkot is folytató Szotudehet 2021-ben egészségügyi okok miatt szabadlábra helyezték.

Románia által kiadott elfogatóparancs alapján őrizetbe vették Cipruson Beni Stejnmec izraeli bányatulajdonost – közölte vasárnap egyik szóvivője.
Stejnmec ellen egy több éve húzódó ügy miatt adtak ki elfogatóparancsot. Az üzletember részt vett egy vállalkozásban, amely feltételezhetően törvénytelenül próbált ingatlanjogokat szerezni az országban.
Az elfogatóparancs alapján már több európai országban, így Olaszországban és Görögországban is őrizetbe vétel fenyegette, de a bíróság nem hagyta jóvá a letartóztatását.
Stejnmec várhatóan a héten jelenik meg a ciprusi bíróság előtt. Az üzletembert csütörtökön vették őrizetbe, amikor megérkezett Larnaca repülőterére. Stejnmecet korábban egy svájci bíróság bűnösnek találta egy guineai vaslerakat engedélyeztetésével kapcsolatos korrupciós ügyben.
