Ez az első eset, hogy tüntetés volt Oroszországban az ukrajnai háború kezdete óta – közölte brit védelmi minisztérium szakértőinek hétfői jelentése.
Tüntetést tartottak november 7-én az ukrajnai fronton harcoló orosz katonák feleségei és az édesanyák. A brit hírszerzés szerint ez volt az első eset, hogy demonstrációt tartottak Oroszországban az ukrajnai háború megindítása óta. A tiltakozók a belvárosi Teatralnaja téren gyűltek össze, és azt követelték, hogy férjeiket, fiaikat hozzák haza a frontvonalról, valamint gyakrabban küldjék eltávra őket.
A brit védelmi minisztérium kiemeli, az orosz anyák és feleségek a háború kezdete óta rendszeresen tiltakoznak a közösségi médiában azért, mert rendkívül rossz körülmények között teljesítenek szolgálatot szeretteik. Az orosz hatóságok fellépése miatt ugyanakkor nem képesek olyan lobbierővé tömörülni, mint az 1980-as években vívott szovjet–afgán háború idején.
A rendőrség perceken belül feloszlatta a tüntetést.
A katonák és hozzátartozóik egyre inkább tarthatatlannak tartják a személyzet rotáció nélküli, szemlátomást korlátlanul meghosszabbítható harci bevetéseit – hangsúlyozza a jelentés.
