A pekingi Árvíz- és Katasztrófaelhárítási Hivatal közölte, hogy július 23. és 29. között folyamatosan rendkívül erős esőzések voltak a városban, leginkább a négy északi hegyvidéki kerület, Miyun, Huairou, Yanqing és Pinggu szenvedett károkat.
Július 31-ig a városi hatóságok 44 halottat és 9 eltűntet regisztráltak, de mivel a kereső-mentő művelet még folyamatban van, az áldozatok száma növekedhet.
A helyi vezetők hangsúlyozták, hogy minden erőfeszítést megtesznek a természeti katasztrófa következményeinek felszámolására, valamint a károsodott területek helyreállítására és újjáépítésére.

A helyi hatóságok tájékoztatása szerint szerda reggel tűz ütött ki, majd összeomlott egy híd Peking északkeleti részén, a Sunji kerületben – számolt be a hirado.hu.
A Csaopaj folyó Cajhung hídja rongálódott meg, miután helyi idő szerint reggel 7 óra után kigyulladt a tartószerkezete, majd ezután a híd egy része összeomlott.
Áldozatokról és sérültekről egyelőre nem érkezett jelentés – közölték a kerületi hatóságok.
A rendőrség szerint a híd mindkét oldalán lezárták a forgalmat, a tüzet eloltották és már vizsgálják a baleset okát.
A Cajhung hidat 1999 októberében építették, összesen 640 méter hosszússágával ez az egyetlen íves, középtámaszú híd Pekingben. A kínai főváros Sunji és Pinggu kerületét összekötő hídon az óriási forgalom miatt az elmúlt években gyakran előfordult hosszanti hídfelszíni repedezés és a pillérek vízálló burkolatának leválása.

A kínai fővárosban, Pekingben összeütközött két szerelvény a metró föld feletti szakaszán a sűrű havazásban, 515 embert szállítottak kórházba, köztük százkettőt csonttöréssel – közölték a hatóságok pénteken.
A fővárost az elmúlt napokban heves havazás sújtotta, ami fennakadásokat okozott a közlekedésben.
A baleset csütörtök este, hely idő szerint 18 óra 57 perckor, a csúcsforgalom idején történt, amikor két szerelvény egymásnak ütközött – számolt be az esetről a CCTV közszolgálati televízió.
„Összesen 515 embert szállítottak kórházba kivizsgálásra, közülük 102-nek csonttörése volt. Halálesetről nem érkezett jelentés” – közölte a csatorna, amely szerint 67 ember továbbra is kórházban marad.
Az önkormányzat korábbi, csütörtök esti jelentése szerint több mint harminc ember sérült meg.
A média olyan képeket közvetített, amelyeken az utasok a földön fekszenek, mások a részben sötétségbe borult kocsiban tartózkodnak. Voltak, akik a vész esetén használandó kalapács segítségével betörték a szerelvény ablakát, hogy kijussanak a vagonból. Más videókon az utasok egy csoportja volt látható, amint a nagy mennyiségben lehullott havon gyalogolva hagyja el a baleset helyszínét. További felvételeken a tűzoltók nyújtottak segítséget az utasoknak kijutni a szerelvényekből.
Az első jelentések szerint a balesetet a hó okozta, amely csúszóssá tette a síneket, és a CCTV szerint ez a berendezések meghibásodásához, továbbá vészfékezéshez vezetett. „Egy hátul haladó vonat a lefelé tartó szakaszon közlekedett, megcsúszott a síneken, és nem tudott hatékonyan lefékezni, ami miatt összeütközött az előtte haladó szerelvénnyel” – közölte a közlekedési vállalat.
A baleset nem alagútban, hanem egy felszíni állomás közelében lévő szakaszon történt. A vonat a kínai főváros északnyugati Csangping kerületébe tartott.
Csütörtökön a pekingi metró üzemeltetője legmélyebb bocsánatkérését fejezte ki a baleset miatt.

Első ízben regisztráltak a koronavírus omikron variánsával történt helyi fertőzést a kínai fővárosban – jelentette szombaton a kínai állami televízió, alig néhány héttel a pekingi téli olimpia kezdete előtt.
A hatóságok lezárták a fertőzött személy lakóépületét és munkahelyét, és 2430 koronavírustesztet végeztek a két helyszínnel kapcsolatban álló emberekkel.
A február 4-én kezdődő téli olimpia előtt a kínai városokban nagy figyelmet fordítanak a koronavírus-fertőzésekre. A hatóságok különösen óvnak a SARS-CoV-2 vírus terjedésének megnövekedett veszélyétől a január végén kezdődő holdújév idején, amikor sokan utaznak az országon belül, és látogatnak haza külföldről.
Sok önkormányzat azt tanácsolja a lakosoknak, hogy amennyiben nem feltétlenül szükséges, ne hagyják el városukat az ünnepek idején, és számos nemzetközi és helyi légi járatot felfüggesztettek.
Pekingen kívül omikron vírusvariánssal történt helyi fertőzést észleltek az északi Tiencsin városában, valamint a közép-kínai Honan, a déli Kuangtung és az északkeleti Liaoning tartományokban. A fertőzöttek száma nem ismeretes. Ezenkívül tizennégy tartományban mutatták ki az omikront külföldről érkezett emberek szervezetében.

Hónapok óta először új, belföldi fertőzésből eredő Covid-19-es esetet jelentettek csütörtökön Pekingben, ahol ezt megelőzően több mint 180 napja nem regisztráltak új megbetegedést – adta hírül internetes kiadásában a China Daily című kínai lap.
A betegnél azt követően jelentkeztek a Covid-19 fertőzés tünetei, hogy visszatért a délkelet-kínai Hunan tartományból, ahol a Csangcsiacsie nemzeti parkban tett látogatást. Az elmúlt időszakban több, a népszerű turista célponttal összefüggő esetet regisztráltak Kínában.
Az országban az utóbbi hetekben a kelet-kínai Csiangszu tartomány székhelyén, Nankingban azonosítottak a koronavírus delta variánsa okozta eseteket a város nemzetközi repülőterének dolgozói körében.
A kínai Nemzeti Egészségügyi Bizottság csütörtöki jelentése szerint az ország szárazföldi részén szerdán 49 új esetet jegyeztek fel, közülük húszat Csiangszuban, hármat a délnyugat-kínai Szecsuanban, és egyet a fővárosban. További 25 eset külföldről beutazó fertőzött volt.
Kínában jelenleg összesen 887 aktív esetet tartanak számon, közülük 23 beteg állapota súlyos. A kínai hatóságok az összesített esetszámhoz nem számolják hozzá a tünetmentes vírushordozókat. A megfigyelés alatt álló panaszmentes fertőzöttek száma jelenleg 411, közülük csupán 16 ember fertőződött meg belföldön.
A hivatalos adatok szerint a járvány kezdete óta 92 811 ember betegedett meg Kína szárazföldi részén koronavírus-fertőzés miatt, közülük 4 636-an váltak a Covid-19 áldozatává.

Legalább 400 járatot töröltek Pekingben délelőtt a nagy szél és a rossz látási viszonyok miatt, ugyanis a várost egy olyan súlyos homokvihar érte el, mely a szakértők szerint az “egy évtized legnagyobb homokvihara”.
A Kínai Meteorológiai Hivatal hétfőn reggel 7:25 körül sárga figyelmeztetést adott ki a homokvihar miatt, továbbá figyelmeztette az állampolgárokat minden szabadtéri tevékenység beszüntetéséről. Az erős homokvihar vastag, sárga porfoltokkal borította be a várost, a legtöbb területen 1000 méter alá csökkentve a látótávolságot, illetve veszélyes szintre zuhant a levegő minősége is. Egyes helyeken a közösségi média felhasználói azt állították, hogy a levegőminőségi index elérte a 2000-es értéket.
Több közösségi média felhasználó felvételeket tett közzé a pekingi drámai és rémisztő homokviharról, és aggodalmát fejezte ki az amúgy is súlyos légszennyezettség miatt, egyesek pedig “életveszélyesen rossznak” nevezték a helyzetet. A hatóságok szerint a homokvihar Mongóliából és Kína északnyugati régiójából indult, a várost vastag porral fedte be, amely forgalmi akadályokhoz és a repülőjáratok törléséhez vezetett. Mongóliában legalább 10 halálesetet és legalább 341 eltűnt személyt jelentettek. A kínai meteorológiai szolgálat azt mondja, hogy a vihar az elmúlt 10 év legsúlyosabb jelensége, és Peking környező tartományaiba terjedhet el, Kanszuba, Sanhsziba és Hopejbe.
A pekingi tisztviselők az iskolák bezárását és autóbuszjáratok csökkentését javasolták az állampolgárok veszélyes körülményeknek való kitettségének csökkentése érdekében. A kínai Országos Meteorológiai Központ előrejelzése szerint a homokvihar 12 tartományt és régiót érint az északnyugati Hszincsiangtól, az északkeleten fekvő Hejlungcsiangen át, egészen a keleti parti kikötővárosig, Tiencsinig. A központ egy internetes oldalának bejegyzésében azt írta, hogy “ez a legintenzívebb homokvihar, amelyet hazánk 10 év alatt látott.”
A kínai környezetvédelmi minisztérium úgy véli, a homokviharnak szerdára, de legkésőbb csütörtökre ki kell tisztulnia, és el kell mozdulnia délre, a Jangce-delta irányába. Li Shou, a Greenpeace East Asia klímatanácsadója egy tweetjében azt írta, Peking az ökológiai válság megtestesítője, ugyanis a kéthetes irreálisan magas szmog után most egy homokvihar is sújtja a várost, így pedig nehéz azt állítani, hogy az ország jó úton halad.

A pekingi meteorológiai szolgálat a harmadik legsúlyosabb, vagyis sárga színű riasztást adott ki a homokvihar miatt.
Az északkelet-kínai Belső-Mongóliából induló homokvihar érte el Pekinget hétfő reggelre.
A pekingi Tahszing Nemzetközi Repülőtéren a rossz láthatóságnak megfelelő működésre álltak át, miután a repülőtér területén a látótávolság 400 és 800 méter közöttire csökkent a levegőben sűrűn kavargó sivatagi homok miatt – számolt be a Hszinhua kínai állami hírügynökség.
A pekingi ökológiai és környezeti megfigyelő központ adatai szerint a levegőben a szállópor-koncentráció a kínai főváros nagy részén meghaladta a köbméterenkénti 2000 mikrogrammot hétfőn. A legsúlyosabb szintet a város nyugati részén fekvő Hajtien kerületben mérték, 3572 mikrogrammot.
Az Egészségügyi Világszervezet (WHO) irányelvei szerint a szálló por köbméterenkénti 10 mikrogramm fölötti koncentrációja már káros az egészségre.
