Kis mennyiségű, radioaktív céziumot mutattak ki egy japán édességipari szállítmányban, amelyet Dél-Koreába importáltak volna – közölte a dél-koreai élelmiszer- és gyógyszerbiztonsági hivatal.
A hivatal szerint a Sizuoka prefektúrában gyártott cukorkákban kilogrammonként 1 becquerel aktivitású céziumot találtak. Az összesen 122 kilogramm tömegű édesség-szállítmányt felügyelő japán cég leállította az importot.
A biztonsági hivatal közlése szerint tavaly négy alkalommal mutattak ki céziumot japán termékekben, a szállításukat minden alkalommal leállították.
A cézium elemi állapotában ezüstszínű, lágy, képlékeny alkálifém, vízzel kapcsolatba lépve heves reakciót, robbanást idéz elő. Az atomerőművekben keletkező nukleáris hulladékban is fellelhető.

A kárpátaljai főügyészség jóváhagyta és a bírósághoz irányította a vádiratot azzal a lembergi férfivel kapcsolatban, aki 2019 augusztusában megpróbált radioaktív anyagokat becsempészni Ukrajna területére.
A vizsgálat során kiderült, hogy a férfi prágai tartózkodása során jutott a tiltott szerekhez, melyeket elrejtett személyes holmija között, s a kisbereznai határátkelőnél próbálta meg behozni az országba. Ezenkívül a férfinél végzett házkutatás során egy fegyvert is találtak, melyre a vádlottnak nem volt engedélye.
A bírósági tárgyalásra hamarosan kerül sor.
