Steven McCraw ezredes, a texasi közbiztonsági minisztérium munkatársa bírálta a lövöldözésre adott rendőri válaszlépéseket.
Kedden történt lövöldözés egy texasi iskolában, amelyben 19 gyermek vesztette életét, valamint elhunyt két pedagógus is, miután az elkövető a saját mamáját is fejbe lőtte, aki kritikus állapotban van kórházban.
Az újságírók kérdésére Steven McCraw ezredes, a texasi közbiztonsági minisztérium munkatársa bírálta a lövöldözésre adott rendőri reakciót, ugyanis úgy véli, túl sokáig tartott, amíg kapcsolatba léptek a fegyveressel.
Ugyanis nem próbáltak meg behatolni az osztályterembe, és felvenni a harcot a merénylővel, hanem az akció parancsnoka úgy döntött, hogy „van idő a kulcsok megszerzésére, és megvárni, amíg egy taktikai csapat a felszereléssel előre megy, áttöri az ajtót, és felveszi a harcot az alannyal“ – írja a CNN.
„Utólag, ahol most ülök, természetesen nem ez volt a helyes döntés. Rossz döntés volt, pont. Erre nincs mentség. De még egyszer mondom, én nem voltam ott“ – tette hozzá McCraw.
Elmondta, hogy „úgy gondoljuk, hogy a lehető leghamarabb kellett volna belépni“, és hozzátette, hogy „amikor aktív lövöldöző van, a szabályok megváltoznak“.
Arra nem adott magyarázatot, hogy miért vártak a csapatok, és miért volt fontos a kulcsok megszerzése. A rendőrök helyi idő szerint 11:44-kor először érkeztek az iskolához, és végül helyi idő szerint 12:50-kor lépett be egy taktikai csapat a terembe, és végzett a fegyveressel.
A fegyveres előre jelezte a tettét: először arra panaszkodott, hogy a nagymamája „idegesítő“, majd a következő üzenetben már azt írta, hogy „épp most lőttem fejbe a nagymamámat”.
Néhány perccel később azonban jött az utolsó és egyben legaggasztóbb üzenet: „megyek és szétlövök most egy általános iskolát”.

A brazíliai Rio de Janeiro városában egy pénteken végrehajtott rendőrségi akció során legalább nyolc ember meghalt. Az akciót a város egyik favellájában hajtották végre, a rendőrség fegyvereket, gránátokat és több kilogramm kábítószert foglalt le.
Nagyszabású akciót hajtott végre a rendőrség Rio de Janeiro egyik, főként szegények lakta városrészében, az akció során több kilogramm kábítószert, gránátokat, automata fegyvereket foglaltak le a hatóságok – írja az ABC.
A Vila Cruzeiro negyedben végrehajtott razzia során legalább nyolc ember meghalt – közölte az állam katonai rendőrsége.
Az akció célja egy másik favellához, Jacerezinhóhoz köthető bűnözök felkutatása volt, ez volt az a szegénynegyed, ahol az állam elindította az „Egységes város” elnevezésű kezdeményezést, melynek célja, hogy újra visszavegyék a bűnbandák által kontrollált lakónegyedeket.
Jacerezinhóban egy tavalyi razziában korábban két tucat ember vesztette életét.
Az ehhez hasonló rendőrségi akciókban gyakoriak a halálos áldozatok, Brazília legfelső bírósága határozatban kötelezte Rio államot, hogy törekedjen a rendőrségi gyilkosságok és az emberi jogok megsértésének visszaszorítására, továbbá halálos erőszakot csak olyan helyzetekben szabad alkalmazni, amikor már minden más egyéb eszközt kimerítettek, illetve az élet védelme érdekében.

Rendkívüli, több mint 1200 rendőr részvételével zajló akció kezdődött Belgiumban kábítószer-, különösen kokainkereskedelemmel foglalkozó szervezett bűnözői csoportok felszámolására – közölte a helyi média kedden.
Az ország legnagyobb nemzetközi kitője, Antwerpen ügyészsége arról adott tájékoztatást, hogy a hajnalban kezdődött akció az eddig végzett legnagyobb összehangolt, és a legtöbb rendőr bevonásával végzett művelet Belgiumban, amelynek során ez idáig legkevesebb 200, egy időben végett házkutatást tartottak.
A művelet a kábítószer-kereskedelemmel, különösen a kokain értékesítésével foglalkozó, nemzetközi kapcsolatokkal rendelkező szervezett bűnözői csoportok felderítését és felszámolását célozza – közölték.
Naponta több száz óceánjáró hajón több ezer konténer érkezik a tengerentúlról a belgiumi Antwerpen kikötőjébe. A kokainkereskedelem szempontjából a belga kikötőváros Európa egyik fő bejáratának számít. A városban és a kikötőben folytatott drogkereskedelem gyakran vezet erőszakhoz, bűnözői csoportok közötti fegyveres összetűzésekhez. Tavaly Belgiumnak további három ország illetékes hatóságaival együttműködve, egy Antwerpenben talált, 2,8 tonna kokaint tartalmazó konténer lefoglalását követően sikerült felszámolnia egy kábítószer-kereskedő bűnözői hálózatot. Idén, február második felében, az antwerpeni kikötőben 7,2 tonna kokaint foglaltak le a helyi hatóságok. A drog értéke több milliárd euró.

Nagyszabású akcióban, negyvenkét rendőr csapott le hét Pest megyei helyszínen egy 48 éves kábítószer-terjesztőre és vevőire csaptak le – közölte a magyar rendőrség a honlapján.
Több hónapig tartó felderítő munka előzte meg a Gödöllői Rendőrkapitányság által koordinált akciót, amelyben a Terrorelhárítási Központ közreműködésével 11 embert – a terjesztéssel gyanúsítható férfit és vevőkörének tagjait – előállították.
A férfi új pszichoaktív anyaggal kereskedett Kerepesen, Mogyoródon, Kistarcsán és fővárosi peremkerületben. A gyanú szerint Sz. József a kati, kréta, füst és kristály fantázianevű szer adagját 1000 forintért árulta. Akadt olyan ügyfele, aki alkalmanként 20 pakkot vásárolt tőle.
A kerepesi férfinek bejelentett állandó munkahelye nincs, a bűnös üzletből azonban az elmúlt hónapokban többmilliós jövedelmet könyvelhetett el – közölték.
A helyszíni szemléken bezacskózott új pszichoaktív anyagokat, valamint az egyik előállított lakásán 72 lőszert is találtak. Sz. József a gyanúsítás ellen panasszal élt, vallomást nem tett. Őrizetbe vették, a rendőrség új pszichoaktív anyaggal visszaélés bűntettének megalapozott gyanúja miatt folytat eljárást ellene – áll a közleményben.
