Mérgezés gyanújával vitték kórházba Marina Ovszjannikovát, aki másfél évvel ezelőtt nyíltan tiltakozott az ukrajnai háború ellen, majd elmenekült Oroszországból. A jelenleg Párizsban élő egykori riporter a Meduza híre szerint a Telegramon cáfolta, hogy megmérgezték volna.
Ovszjannikova azt írta, hogy nem beszélt újságírókkal, abban reménykedett, hogy nem kerül nyilvánosságra, hogy kórházba szállították. Emellett leírta, hogy a névtelen informátor elmondásával ellentétben nem talált fehér port a kilincsén, csak orvost hívtak hozzá, mert rosszul érezte magát. Szerinte a francia rendőrség csak azért kezdett nyomozni, mert hirtelen jelentkeztek a tünetei, mostanra azonban sokkal jobban érzi magát és a vizsgálatok eredménye sem utal arra, hogy megmérgezték volna.
