A hétvégén sajnálatos eset történt egy Nagykomjátról származó férfival – kigyulladt az autója.
A férfi reggel egy falubeli ismerősével indult el gombát szedni a Salánkhoz közeli erdőbe. A férfiak a Volkswagen T4 típusú járművet az erdő melletti út szélén hagyták, majd bementek gombázni.
Nem sokkal később az erdőőrök észrevették, hogy az autó ég, és értesítették a tűzoltóságot. A tűz eloltásához a tiszaújlaki és nagyszőlősi egységet riasztották. A helyszínre érkezve a lángokat nyolc percen belül lokalizálták, és további hat perc alatt teljesen eloltották a tüzet.
A tűz okát vizsgálják a szakértők.

A bíróság 9 év letöltendő börtönbüntetésre ítélte azt a salánki nőt, aki halálra verte élettársát.
Mint kiderült, a nő és a féri között vita alakult ki, mely közben a hölgy több ütést is lemért a férfi fejére és testére, aki egy napon belül belehalt sérüléseibe. Az eset 2016 őszén történt. A nő elmondta, hogy ápolta a férfi sebeit, azonban a mentőszolgálatot nem értesítette az esetről. Amikor az áldozat állapota rosszabbodott, kihívta hozzá az orvost, azonban már késő volt. Tettét azonban nem ismerte be.
A hírt a megyei ügyészség közölte.
