Csütörtök hajnalban felborult egy turistabusz a Niagara-vízeséshez tartva. A baleset következtében rengetegen megsérültek.
A turistabusz New York városából tartott a Niagara vízeséshez, mikor Chiliben, Rochester mellett felborult.
28 ember, köztük egy gyerek került kórházba.
Egy ember állapota válságos. A busz az oldalára borult, az érintett útszakasz teljes szélességében lezárták.
A helyszínre 16 mentőt hívtak.

A viharos esőzés következtében pénteken este ledőlt a nagysátor Szlovákia egyik legismertebb fesztiválján, a Trencsén melletti repülőtéren megrendezett Pohoda fesztiválon, a baleset következtében 12 ember könnyebb sérüléseket szenvedett – jelentette a TASR szlovák közszolgálati hírügynökség a rendőrség és a mentőszolgálat információira hivatkozva.
A trencséni repülőtéren 1997 óta évente megrendezésre kerülő népszerű könnyűzenei fesztivál programját azt követően kellett félbeszakítani, hogy a régiót pénteken elérő intenzív esőzést és vihart követően ledőlt a fesztivál nagysátra. A balesetben a mentőszolgálat közlése szerint 12 személy szenvedett könnyebb – főként fej és felsővégtagi – sérüléseket. A sérülteket a trencséni és a vágbesztercei kórházakba szállították sérüléseik ellátása céljából.
A baleset után a fesztivál szervezői közölték: a fennmaradó programokat nem tartják meg és a fesztivál sátorvárosát a látogatóknak szombaton déli 12 óráig el kell hagyniuk. A fesztivál parkolói szombaton délután négy óráig maradnak nyitva.

„Két nő súlyosan megsebesült” – írta Szinehubov hozzátéve, hogy még 12 embert szállítottak kórházba.
A jelentés szerint két átalakított S-300-as légvédelmi rakéta csapódott be a metropolisz központjában. Ihor Terehov, Harkiv polgármestere hangsúlyozta, hogy a rakéták olyan helyre csapódtak be, ahol katonai létesítmények nem voltak, viszont számos lakóépület állt.
Az ukrán mentőszolgálat a Telegram üzenetküldő szolgáltatáson arról számolt be, hogy az egyik rakéta egy olyan háromemeletes épületet talált el, amely korábban egy egészségügyi központnak adott otthont. Két házban tűz is keletkezett.

Három ember meghalt, 28-an pedig megsebesült a kelet-ukrajnai Harkiv régiót ért éjszakai orosz támadásban – írja az Ukrinform.
Orosz dróntámadás érte vasárnap a kelet-ukrajnai Harkiv városát mindössze két nappal azután, hogy Oroszország a háború legnagyobb légitámadását indította el Ukrajna ellen – közölték a helyi hatóságok.
Ihor Tyerehov harkivi polgármester és a helyi ügyészség vasárnap reggel újabb harci dróntámadásokról számolt be, amelyek közlésük szerint több lakóházat, irodát és egy kávézót rongáltak meg a város központjában. „Voltak becsapódások a központban” – számolt be Tyerekhov a Telegramon. Hozzátette, hogy a folyik a halálos áldozatok összesítése.
Szombaton az orosz határhoz közeli Harkivot is több orosz rakéta találta el, a hatóságok szerint 26 ember megsebesült. A megrongálódott épületek között állítólag egy nagy szálloda is volt.
A nyugat-ukrajnai Hmelnyickij térségből is robbanásokat jelentettek vasárnap reggel.
Az ukrán légvédelem közölte, hogy az éjszaka folyamán 49 támadó drónból 21-et lőttek le országszerte.
Pénteken Oroszország a közel két éve indított Ukrajna elleni háború legnagyobb légi támadását indította el, és országszerte mintegy 160 rakéta és drón vette tűz alá a városokat. Legalább 39 ember meghalt és 120 megsebesült – közölték kijevi tisztviselők.
Halálesetekről számoltak be Dnyipróból, Harkivból, Zaporizzsjából, Odesszából, Lembergből és Kijevből, ahol a lakosok a városi metróban kerestek menedéket. Az ország több területén megszűnt az áramszolgáltatás.

Pokolgép robbant egy síita iszlám szentélynél a szíriai főváros közelében csütörtökön, többen megsebesültek – közölte a szíriai állami média csütörtökön.

Ismertté vált, hogy augusztus 17-én egy 13 éves fiú halt meg a harkivi rakétatámadás következtében Harkivban, két, egy 12 és 13 éves gyerek pedig megsérült.
Az Oroszországi Föderáció fegyveres agressziója következtében 2328 oktatási intézmény rongálódott meg. Közülük 289 teljesen megsemmisült.

Sikeres kényszerleszállást hajtott végre pénteken az az Antonov An-28-as típusú orosz utasszállító repülőgép, amelynek eltűnését jelentették előzőleg orosz hírügynökségek a szibériai Tomszk megyéből.
Orosz híradások szerint a repülőgép azután hajtott végre kényszerleszállást, hogy meghibásodott az egyik motorja.
A Kedrovij városából a megyeszékhelyre, Tomszkba tartó járaton 19 ember tartózkodott, mindannyian életben vannak. Katasztrófavédelmi források elmondták, hogy senki sem sérült meg súlyosan, az utasokat és a legénységet pedig tomszki kórházakba szállítják.
A szibériai légi kutató-mentő központ meg nem nevezett illetékese szerint a gépet vezető pilóta eltörte a lábát, a többiek horzsolásokat szenvedtek, sokkos állapotba kerültek, de nem szenvedtek súlyos sérüléseket.
A gépre mentőhelikopterek bukkantak rá egy mezőn, nem sokkal azután, hogy eltűnt a radarképernyőkről a nyugat-szibériai Tomszk megyében. A legénység nem jelentett meghibásodást a járat eltűnése előtt, mindazonáltal a gép vészjelző rendszere működésbe lépett.
A gép a turbópropelleres gépekkel regionális járatokat bonyolító, SiLA nevű kis légitársaság flottájához tartozik.

A viharos időjárás következtében összeomlott egy építés alatt álló ötemeletes ház Washingtonban csütörtökön, öt munkás megsérült, egyiküket másfél óra alatt sikerült csak kiszabadítani a romok alól. Az épület a délutáni órákban roskadt össze az amerikai főváros Brightwood Park nevű kerületében. A munkásokat nem életveszélyes sérülésekkel kórházba szállították.
John Donnelly, a helyi katasztrófavédelmi hatóság helyettes vezetője elmondta, hogy az egyik munkás mintegy három emeletnyi törmelék alá szorult. A beszámoló szerint szerencséje volt, mivel egy tágabb üregben volt és kommunikálni tudott a segítségére siető tűzoltókkal, akik a többi között láncfűrészekkel és elektromos fűrészekkel próbálták kiszabadítani.
A városvezetés vizsgálatot indított annak kiderítésére, hogy megvoltak-e a megfelelő építkezési engedélyek, illetve betartották-e a biztonsági előírásokat. A hatóságok hangsúlyozták, hogy korai lenne még megállapítani a házomlás okát, illetve azt, hogy a térségen átvonuló vihar szerepet játszott-e a történtekben.
Egy hete a floridai Miami közelében lévő Surfside-ban történt részleges házomlás. A halálos áldozatok száma eddig 18, de minden bizonnyal emelkedni fog, tekintettel arra, hogy 145 személyt továbbra is eltűntként tartanak nyilván.
