Szörnyű tragédia áldozata lett a 33 éves Suman Mokhtarian. A korábbi UFC-harcosra Sydney-ben az utcán rálőttek, a helyszínre érkező mentősök pedig már nem tudták megmenteni az életét.



A 33 éves UFC-harcos éppen az ausztrál metropoliszban sétált az esti órákban, amikor fegyveresek támadtak rá az utcán.






Brit sajtóhírek szerint az ausztrál bunyóst Sydney külvárosában, Riverstone-ban, helyi idő szerint szerda este 18 órakor lőtték mellkason. A mentősök minden erőfeszítése ellenére Mokhtarian a helyszínen belehalt sérüléseibe. A halálos baleset után Jason Joyce, a Riverstone-i rendőrség területi parancsnoka így nyilatkozott: „Úgy véljük, hogy sétálni ment, de ezt még nem tudjuk megerősíteni.



Azt gondolhatnánk, hogy egy ilyen lakóövezetben az emberek éjszaka is biztonságban sétálhatnak az utcán, de mi úgy véljük, hogy ez egy célzott támadás volt.”

Nem ez volt az első eset, hogy rátámadtak Mokhtarianra, ugyanis ő volt a célpontja az ausztrál Top Team harcművészeti klubban tavaly februárban történt lövöldözésnek.



Miután túlélte az incidenst, lemondta a tervezett MMA-eseményt, mert attól tartott, hogy újabb támadás érheti.



A pehelysúlyú sztár hat évvel ezelőtt harcolt utoljára a UFC-ben, azóta edzőként tevékenykedett.

A 29 éves amerikai jégkorongozó játszott korábban az NHL-ben a Pittsburgh Penguinsnél, valamint a svéd és német ligákban is. A Panthers augusztusban szerződtette le.



Az angol liga minden vasárnapi meccsét elhalasztották, a Panthers keddi mérkőzése is így járt. Vasárnap a játékosok és rajongók virágokat vittek a nottinghami Motorpoint Arénához.

Az orosz állampolgárságú férfit június 11-én tartóztatták le a dél-lengyelországi Sziléziában, és úgy vélik, hogy egy orosz kémkör tagja. A lengyel belbiztonsági hivatal (ABW) eddig 14 embert vett őrizetbe, akiket azzal gyanúsítanak, hogy a csoport tagjai. Az ABW azt állítja, hogy mindegyik gyanúsított a Lengyelországtól keletre fekvő országok állampolgára, nem feltétlenül csak Oroszországé.



Az Oroszország és a Nyugat közötti, évtizedek óta tartó kémkonfliktus azóta éleződött ki, hogy Moszkva 2022 februárjában teljes körű inváziót indított Ukrajna ellen – emlékeztet a BBC. Nem nevezte meg az őrizetbe vett játékost, de több lengyel médiaorgánum Maksim S.-ként azonosította a gyanúsítottat, akit jelenleg előzetes letartóztatásban tartanak. Ha elítélik, akár 10 év börtönbüntetés is várhat rá.



A megvádolt jégkorongozó eddig nem nyilatkozott nyilvánosan.



Az orosz külügyminisztérium tiltakozott Lengyelországnál a játékos őrizetbe vétele miatt. „Követeljük, hogy a lengyel fél azonnal adjon átfogó magyarázatot” – idézte Marija Zaharova minisztériumi szóvivőt az orosz állami Interfax hírügynökség.



A lengyel hatóságok pénteken közölték, hogy a feltételezett orosz kémkörrel Moszkva hírszerzési tevékenységet folytatott, többek között a vasutak megfigyelésére alkalmazták őket, valamint Lengyelország és a NATO katonai szövetség elleni propagandát terjesztették. A hatóságok azt is állították, hogy a kör az orosz hírszerzés megbízásából szabotázsakciókat készített elő.

Az Ukrajnában zajló háború eddig 262 sportoló életét követelte – közölte Vadim Hutcajt sportminiszter.







„Az orosz háború 262 sportoló életét oltotta ki, akik arról álmodoztak, hogy részt vehetnek az olimpián és a nemzetközi bajnokságokon” – mondta el.



Ezenkívül az orosz hadsereg összesen 363 sportlétesítményt semmisített meg az ország területén.

Az igazságügyi minisztérium vádat emelt a korábbi nehézsúlyú bokszoló, a montenegrói Goran Gogić ellen, aki több mint egy milliárd dollár értékű kokaint csempészett az Amerikai Egyesült Államokon keresztül.



A 43 éves Gogić ellen az Egyesült Államok történetének egyik legnagyobb drogfogása után emelt vádat egy New York-i esküdtszék. A korábbi nehézsúlyú ökölvívót vasárnap este tartóztatták le, amikor megpróbált felszállni egy Miamiból Zürichbe tartó járatra.






Gogić ellen három rendben emeltek vádat a tengeri kábítószer-ellenes törvény megsértése miatt – valamint további egy rendbeli összeesküvés miatt. A négy vádpont mindegyike legalább 10 év börtönbüntetést vonhat maga után.



Gogić és a bandája Kolumbiából Európába csempészték a kábítószert az amerikai kikötőkön keresztül. A bírósági dokumentumok szerint az egykori ökölvívó a logisztikáért felelt, és szorosan együttműködött a hajók legénységével, valamint a kolumbiai csempészekkel és az európai kikötők munkásaival.



Gogić akár életfogytiglani börtönbüntetést is kaphat, miután három évvel ezelőtt azzal vádolták meg, hogy teherhajókon több mint 22 tonnányi kokainnal kereskedett Philadelphiában.

Gogić Németországban kezdte meg profi ökölvívó karrierjét. Edzője a híres Fritz Sdunek volt, aki korábban Kovács „Kokó” Istvánt és a Klicsko fivéreket is edzett. A montenegrói bokszoló 27 mérkőzésen 21-szer nyert, négyszer kikapott, kétszer pedig döntetlenre végzett.



Az egykori bunyós utoljára 2012 júliusában lépett ringbe, amikor Németországban legyőzte a kevéssé ismert román bokszolót Liviu Ungureanut.

A brazil Jiu Jitsu bajnokot, Leandro Lót egy São Paulo-i éjszakai klubban lőtte agyon egy szabadnapos rendőr, aki most szökésben van.



Szemtanúk szerint a sportoló a Clube Sirio nevű helyen volt a barátaival, amikor a rendőr megszólította, majd fenyegető gesztusokat tett a kezében lévő üveggel. Lo lefogta őt, azt mondta neki, hogy menjen el, mire a rendőr elővette a fegyverét és a homlokán lőtte meg a sportolót.



A nyolcszoros világbajnok Lót a kórházban agyhalottnak nyilvánították. A rendőrség hajtóvadászatot indított a gyilkos ellen.

Irán annak ellenére végrehajtotta a halálos ítéletet a birkózó ellen, hogy jogvédők mellett egy sportolókat tömörítő nemzetközi szervezet, a Játékosok Világszövetsége (WPA) is ellenezte a sportoló kivégzését. Navid Afkari birkózót azért ítélték halálra, mert a vád szerint 2018-ban egy kormányellenes tüntetésen megölt egy biztonsági őrt. A sportoló a bíróságon állította, hogy kínzással kényszerítették ki belőle beismerő vallomását.







A nemzetközi közvélemény, különösen az érdekvédő és sportszervezetek élénken tiltakoztak a 27 éves kötöttfogású birkózó kivégzése ellen. Öt nappal ezelőtt a WPA figyelmeztette Iránt, hogy kezdeményezni fogja az ország kizárását a világ sportéletéből, ha végrehajtják a halálos ítéletet.



A halálbüntetés ellen küzdő jogvédő aktivisták minden esetben arra hívják fel a figyelmet, hogy a kivégzés végrehajtása után már nem lehet korrigálni, ha a bíróság tévedett, és a nemzetközi kriminalisztika számos esetet tart nyilván, amikor ártatlan embereket végeztek ki úgy, hogy csak később derült ki, hogy az illető nem követett el bűncselekményt, vagy más volt a tettes.



A sportoló ügyvédje szerint nincs bizonyíték védence bűnösségére, az iráni igazságszolgáltatási szervek szerint viszont egyértelmű az ügy.



Afkari esete nagy nemzetközi visszhangot váltott ki, többek között Donald Trump amerikai elnök is az ítélet megváltoztatására szólította fel Iránt, ahogy a brit és a német kormány is.



A Nemzetközi Birkózószövetség és számos elismert birkózó is tiltakozott a kivégzés ellen.



A Nemzetközi Olimpiai Bizottság (IOC) „nagyon szomorú hírnek” nevezte a halálos ítélet végrehajtását, és közleményben tudatta, hogy a szervezet együtt érez a családtagokkal és a barátokkal.

Több mint öt hónap után a paraguayi hatóságok szabadon engedték a korábbi aranylabdás világklasszis Ronaldinhót és testvérét.



Ronaldinho és Roberto de Assis Moreira (aki egyben üzleti tanácsadója is) márciusban repültek Paraguayba, ahol azonban a hatóságok lekapcsolták őket, mert hamis útlevelekkel próbáltak belépni az országba. A két férfi egy hónapot töltött börtönben, majd óvadék ellenében házi őrizetbe kerültek egy asuncióni luxusszállodába.



A BBC információi szerint a testvérpárt helyi idő szerint hétfő este a bíróság szabadlábra helyezte, viszont mintegy 200 000 dolláros kártérítésre is kötelezte.



„Az elővigyázatosságból elrendelt letartóztatást megszüntetjük, a paraguayi igazságszolgáltatásnak nincs oka további szankciókat eszközölnie” – mondta ki az ítéletet Gustavo Amarilla bíró.



Ronaldinho a hátrányos helyzetű gyerekeket segítő kampányát ment népszerűsíteni Paraguayba, amikor lebukott az útlevelével. Az ügyészség szerint nem volt tudomása arról, hogy az okirata hamis, az viszont nem segített rajta, hogy fivére nem vállalta a felelősséget és ártatlannak vallotta magát.



A 2005-ös aranylabdás világbajnok játékos a 40. születésnapját is a paraguayi fegyházban „ünnepelte”.
