A férj, Sanjeev Khirwar a lapnak elismerte, hogy „néha” a stadionba viszi sétálni a kutyáját, de tagadta, hogy az edzés abbahagyására kényszerítették volna a sportolókat.

Drámai drónfelvétel készült az esetről, amelyen látszik,
hogy az épületen dolgozók közül egy férfi éppen átvágja a Peterburgszkij sport-
és koncertcsarnok fém tartószerkezetét, majd a stadion hirtelen összeomlik –
írja a BBCNews. A férfi futni kezd a biztonságot jelentő darukosár felé, ám nem
éri el azt.



A 29 éves férfi holttestét később találták meg a törmelék
között. Az áldozat egyike volt annak a négy alkalmazottnak, akik fémkábeleket
vágtak a satdion bontása közben. Alekszej Anikin, a szentpétervári vészhelyzeti
minisztérium vezetője elmondta, a másik három dolgozó életben van, a nyomozók
kihallgatták őket.



A Peterburgszkijt 1980-ban nyitották meg, koncertek és
különféle sportesemények helyszíne volt. A bontást a felújítás részeként
végezték, ugyanis itt rendezik a 2023-as jégkorong-világbajnokságot.
