Csütörtökön, néhány perccel a felszállás után felrobbant a SpaceX Starship megarakétája, amely idén már a második sikertelen tesztet jelentette Elon Musk Mars-misszióját célzó programjában – írja az Origo.
A 123 méter magas rakéta helyi idő szerint 18:30-kor, űrhajós nélkül startolt el a SpaceX texasi Boca Chica rakétalétesítményéből, és ahogy a teszt közvetítésében is látszik (42:30), az első fokozatú meghajtóegység a terveknek megfelelően visszatért a földre. Percekkel később a SpaceX élő közvetítése megmutatta, hogy a Starship felső fokozata forogni kezdett az űrben, a rakéta hajtóműve leállt, majd a cég megerősítette, hogy elvesztette a kapcsolatot az űrhajóval.
„Sajnos ez a múltkor is megtörtént, így most van némi gyakorlatunk” – mondta Dan Huot, a SpaceX szóvivője az élő közvetítésben. Az incidenst hivatalosan nem nevezik robbanásnak, hanem „a jármű gyors, nem tervezett szétszereléseként” említik. A vállalat közölte, hogy biztonsági tisztviselőkkel egyeztetve vizsgálják át a repülési adatokat, hogy megértsék a robbanás kiváltó okát.
Mivel a törmelékek szétszóródtak a Karib-térség egyes részein, a Szövetségi Légiközlekedési Hivatal rövid időre leállította a kereskedelmi légijáratokat Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Palm Beach és Orlando repülőtereken, a leszálláshoz készülő gépeket Turks és Caicos környékére átirányították.
Több tucat repülőgép kényszerült késésre, illetve kerülő útra a felrobbant Starship lehulló darabjai miatt – írja a Sky News. Az amerikai Szövetségi Légügyi Hivatal (FAA) közölte, hogy rövid időre lelassította és átirányította a repülőgépeket azon a területen, ahol a darabok visszahullottak a Földre.
A FlightRadar24 adatai szerint több repülőgép kényszerült várakozórepülésre a Karib-tenger fölött, többek között egy Puerto Ricóba, illetve egy Dominikába tartó utasszállító gép. Egy Amazon-termékekkel megrakott teherszállítót Nassau felé tereltek, egy másik gép meg visszatért Floridába, ahonnan elindult.
Annak ellenére, hogy a rakéta felrobbant, a SpaceX tulajdonosa, Elon Musk a dolgok pozitív oldalát igyekszik meglátni. Az X-en azt írta: „A siker bizonytalan, de a szórakozás garantált!”
A SpaceX a dél-texasi Boca Chicából indította a rakétát csütörtökön, helyi idő szerint 16 óra 40 perc körül.
Ez a repülés volt a frissen továbbfejlesztett Starship hetedik tesztje, amelynek a start után körülbelül egy órával kellett volna ellenőrzött vízre szállást végrehajtania az Indiai-óceánon.
Nyolc és fél perc után azonban megszakadt vele a kapcsolat, az utolsó adatok 146 kilométeres magasságot és óránként 21 317 kilométeres sebességet jeleztek.
Elon Musk szerint szivároghatott az üzemanyag, ami miatt túlnyomás alakult ki a Starshipben, a baleset ellenére azonban semmi nem indokolja, hogy a következő tesztet elhalassza a SpaceX.

A SpaceX által készített marsjáró űrhajó második tesztrepülése hatalmas robbanással ért véget. A Starship nevű űrhajót Texas déli részéről indította útjára Elon Musk cége, melynek elképzelései szerint az első embereket szállító űrhajó a Marsra már néhány éven belül útnak indulhat.
De a tesztrepülések egyelőre nem jártak sikerrel, ugyanis az első kilövés is egy hasraeséssel végződött. Ezúttal az űrjármű elérte a tervezett tíz kilométeres magasságot, a visszaereszkedéskor azonban nem tudta függőlegesbe állítani magát a repülő szerkezet, és a földetéréskor felrobbant.
A tervek szerint a Starship alkalmas lesz interkontinentális utazásokra is, de a cég ezzel egy időben fejlesztett Super Heavy nevű hordozórakétájával együtt már bolygóközi utazásokra is alkalmas lehet, ha sikerül működőképes és biztonságos változatot építeni belőlük.
A fejlesztők szerint a mostani – sikertelen– kísérletek hozzájárulnak ahhoz, hogy megértsék a bolygóközi utazásokra alkalmas járművek működését, így a robbanás is biztonságosabbá teszi azokat az űrhajókat, amelyek majd emebreket szállíthatnak a Naprendszer bolygóira.

This evening Ceres Engine 15, Ceres Battalion Chief 3, and Modesto Truck 1 were dispatched to a vehicle accident with pin-in at the Shell station on 4th Street. Initial reports were that a car and gas pump were on fire and people were trapped in the car.
