Orosz rakéta csapódott egy szállodába Zaporizzsja városában csütörtök este – jelentette a Reuters. A helyi rendőrség azt közölte, hogy egy Iszkander típusú rakéta csapódott be a városba. A támadásban egy ember meghalt, 16-an pedig megsebesültek, köztük van négy gyerek is – közölték ukrán tisztviselők.
„Zaporizzsja naponta szenved az orosz ágyúzástól. Tűz ütött ki egy polgári épületben, miután a megszállók rakétával eltalálták azt” – írta Volodimir Zelenszkij ukrán elnök a Twitteren.

Az ukrán tisztviselők által megosztott képeken és videón egy nagy kráter, összetört autók és egy súlyosan megrongálódott négyemeletes épület látható. A helyi média arról számolt be, hogy a megrongálódott épület a Reikartz Hotel, ami a város központjában, a Dnyeper folyó partján áll.
48 órán belül ez volt a második orosz légicsapás Zaporizzsja ellen. Egy szerdai rakétatámadásban két fiatal nő és egy férfi vesztette életét, kilenc másik ember pedig megsebesült.

Ahogyan arról korábban írtunk, többen megsebesültek egy kabuli szálloda elleni lőfegyveres támadásban, és hogy a támadókat megölték.
Az afganisztáni tálib vezetés szóvivője akkor közölte, hogy a főleg kínai állampolgárokat vendégül látó hotelben robbanások és lövések voltak hallhatók, a közösségi médiában megosztott felvételek tanúsága szerint a szálloda épületéből egész délután füst áradt.
A tálib biztonsági erők a helyszínre kiérkezve három támadót megöltek. A kabuli kórház késő délután a Twitteren közölte, hogy 21 sebesültet látnak el, és három halottat szállítottak be hozzájuk. Hétfőn még egyetlen szervezet sem vállalta magára a támadást, de keddre az Iszlám Állam megtette.
Egy, a dzsihadista szervezeteket online nyomon követő csoport, név szerint a Site Intelligence Group szerint az Iszlám Állam állítja, hogy a támadás a szállodában lakó kínai állampolgárok ellen irányult, és hogy összesen 30 áldozata volt, azaz magasabb számot írtak, mint a hivatalos afgán közlés.
Beszámolójában az MTI megjegyzi, hogy a közösségi oldalakon több videót is megosztottak, melyen a hotel lángokban áll, a felvételek valódiságát azonban nem lehetett azonnal ellenőrizni.
Az Iszlám Állam Afganisztánban elsősorban a vallási kisebbségeket és a tálibokat támadja, de voltak már külföldiek is az áldozataik között. A terrorszervezet vezetőjét novemberben megölték, de órákon belül kinevezték az utódját.

Öngyilkos merénylő robbantotta fel magát egy mogadishui szálloda bejáratánál. Korábban a rendőrség tizenhét halottról tájékoztatott, de a hivatalos információk szerint kilencen haltak meg, és tízen sebesültek meg. A merénylő robbanószerekkel megpakolt autóval törte át az Afrik nevű hotel egyik kapuját – írta az MTI, mit közölt a szomáliai rendőrség.
A robbantást követően tűzharc alakult ki a behatoló fegyveresek és a szálloda biztonsági személyzete közt. A voanews azt írja, hogy az ostrom hétórás volt.
„Zavar volt és sűrű füst szállt fel a robbanás után. Az emberek ugráltak össze-vissza, futottunk az életünkért” – írta le a történteket a lap egyik tudósítója. Az al-Shabaab a szervezet szócsövének számító Andalus rádióadón keresztül jelentkezett a merénylet elkövetőjeként.
Az al-Kaida nemzetközi terrorszervezetnek 2012-ben fogadott hűséget az al-Shabaab. Célja, hogy kiűzze az Afrikai Unió békefenntartóit az országból, és hogy megdöntse a Nyugat támogatását élvező mogadishui kormányt. Radikális értelmezésen alapuló saríát (iszlám jogrendet) akar Szomáliában bevezetni. Ennek érdekében rendszeresen támadja a dél- és közép-szomáliai területeket. 2020 decemberében magát a kormányfőt támadták, akkor húsz ember vesztette életét.
