Ismeretlen támadók leöntöttek benzinnel és felgyújtottak egy szunnita hitszónokot Irán északnyugati részén – jelentette a Tasnim iráni hírügynökség hétfő este.

Kurdisztán tartomány a tavaly ősszel kirobbant országos tüntetéshullám egyik központi helyszíne. Iránban komoly politikai válságot idéztek elő a sorozatos demonstrációk, amelyek 2022 szeptemberében egy 22 éves kurd nő, Mahsza Amini halálát követően robbantak ki.
A nőt az iráni erkölcsrendészet vette őrizetbe, mert nem az előírásoknak megfelelően viselte a kötelező muszlim fejkendőt. Szemtanúk szerint bántalmazták. A tüntetéshullámmal összefüggésben Iránban többeket halálra ítéltek, és már négy embert kivégeztek.
