Őrizetbe vettek egy tádzsik képviselőt, korábbi elnökjelöltet pénteken „államcsínykísérlet” és „terrorszervezetekkel való kapcsolattartás” vádjával. Szaiddzsafár Uszmonzoda a parlament azon ritka képviselőinek az egyike, akik nem tagjai az országot 1992 óta vezető Emomali Rahmon elnök pártjának.
A képviselő őrizetbe vételéről a Hovar állami hírügynökség pénteki jelentése szerint a főügyész döntött.
Uszmonzoda, aki elnökjelölt is volt, a Demokratikus Párt egyetlen olyan tagja, aki helyet kapott képviselőházban. A tádzsik alsóházban, amelyben Emomali Rahmon pártjának képviselői vannak többségben, öt másik, az államfőhöz hűséges politikai formáció tagjai is ülnek.
A képviselőt azzal vádolják, hogy két terrorszervezetnek tekintett és betiltott szervezet – a Tádzsikisztáni Nemzeti Paktum és a Tádzsikisztáni Iszlám Újjászületés Pártja – támogatásával államcsínyt szított.
A hírügynökség szerint Uszmonzodának felajánlották az afganisztáni határ közelében tevékenykedő Dzsamaat Anszarulla terrorcsoport 3000 fegyveresének részvételét, hogy „katonai támaszpontokat foglaljanak el, és erővel államcsínyt hajtsanak végre”.
A Hovar szerint a képviselő bűnössége már a per előtt teljesen bizonyított. Tádzsikisztánban a közép-ázsiai volt szovjet köztársaságok legszegényebbikében 1992 és 1997 között véres polgárháború dúlt az iszlamistákkal és a rendszer ellenlábasaival szemben, amelyben tízezrek haltak meg.
A Riporterek Határok Nélkül (RSF) nemzetközi újságíró jogvédő szervezet 180 országot tartalmazó listáján Tádzsikisztán a 155. helyen áll.

Ismét erős, ezúttal 6,8-as magnitúdójú földrengés rázta meg csütörtök hajnalban Tádzsikisztán gyéren lakott, Kína Hszincsiang tartományához közeli részét.
A földmozgás a tádzsikisztáni Murgobtól nyugatra, a földfelszín alatt 20 kilométerrel történt az Egyesült Államok Földtani Intézete szerint.
A rengés erősen érezhető volt Hszincsiang tartomány Kasgar prefektúrájában és a Kizilszu kirgiz autonóm prefektúrában, de áldozatokról és károkról nem érkezett jelentés – közölte a kínai állami média helyi tisztségviselőkre hivatkozva.
A kínai földrengésközpont adatai alapján a rengés 7,2-es erősségű volt és tíz kilométer mélyen ment végbe.

Kilenc ember meghalt, és 24 megsebesült szerdán egy terrorellenes műveletben az Afganisztánnal határos Tádzsikisztánban.
Szerda reggel a tádzsik hatóságok bejelentették, hogy terrorellenes műveletet indítanak az Afganisztánnal határos Hegyi-Badahsán autonóm régióban, miközben az elmúlt hónapokban egyre nagyobb feszültségek alakultak ki a régió egyik vezetőjével – számolt be az MTI.
Az akció során egy katona meghalt, 13 másik pedig megsebesült, amikor gyújtópalackot dobtak a tádzsikisztáni biztonságiak gépjárműoszlopára. A támadó fegyveres csoport nyolc tagja életét vesztette, 11-en pedig megsebesültek. A minisztérium szerint a terroristacsoport több mint 70 tagját őrizetbe vették.
