A hatóságok szerint a szökevény, akinek a koronavírustesztje negatív lett, és az elzárás alatt sem mutatott tüneteket, vélhetően illegálisan akar az országban maradni. Hozzátették, hogy az elmúlt hónapokban több vietnami állampolgárral is ez történt.
A járvány miatti dél-koreai rendelkezések értelmében minden külföldről érkezőre két hét karantén vár.
A dél-koreai járványügyi központ kedden 114 új fertőzöttet jelentett, ezzel számuk elérte a 24 353-at. A Covid-19-nek eddig 425 halálos áldozata van az országban.
