A romániai Országos Vízügyi és Vízgazdálkodási Intézet (INHGA) kedd délután harmadfokú (vörös színű) riasztást bocsátott ki a Sebes-Körös és a Fekete-Körös felső folyásának mellékfolyóira.
A Digi24 hírtelevízió közlése szerint a román hatóságok a mobiltelefonos riasztórendszeren keresztül is figyelmeztették a folyók mellett lakókat, hogy készüljenek fel lakásaik elhagyására.
A figyelmeztetés szerint a Bihar-hegységben lehullott nagy mennyiségű csapadék miatt árhullámok vonulnak le a hegyi patakokon, amelyek helyi áradásokat okozhatnak, és amelyek hatására a Körösök vízhozama is jelentősen megnő a következő órákban. A figyelmeztetés értelmében a Fekete-Körösön súlyosabb a helyzet. Ott a román–magyar határig másodfokú (narancs színű) figyelmeztetés van érvényben.
A Tisza többi romániai mellékfolyójának alsó szakaszán elsőfokú (sárga színű) a figyelmeztetés szintje. Árad az Aranyos is a folyó forrásvidékén. Amint a Digi24 hírtelevízió közölte: az Aranyos hidakat sodort el Kolozs megye nyugati peremvidékén. A Romániai Meteorológiai Intézet az egész ország területére első fokú (sárga színű) figyelmeztetést bocsátott ki kedden a megerősödő szél miatt, és az ország nyugati megyéire a várható nagy mennyiségű csapadék miatt is. A meteorológusok szerint Bihar megye egyes hegyvidéki településein négyzetméterenként akár a 180 litert is elérheti a 24 óra alatt lehulló eső mennyisége.
