A CNN megszerezte azt a testkamerával felvett videót, melyen látszik, ahogy egy rendőrtiszt másodpercekkel a merényletkísérlet előtt felhúzza magát a Donald Trumpot célba vevő lövöldöző által elfoglalt tetőre. Ezenkívül egy olyan felvétel is nyilvánosságra került, melyen az hallatszik, hogy a helyi rendőrség egyik egyenruhása keresetlen szavakkal illeti a titkosszolgálatot, amiért előzetes figyelmeztetése ellenére szabadon hagyták a merénylő által használt épületet.
A pennsylvaniai Butlerben szolgálatot teljesítő rendőr testén viselt kamera videóján az látható, ahogy a tisztet egy kollégája felsegíti a tetőre, ahonnan azonnal leesik, miután meglátja a lövöldözőt, Thomas Matthew Crooksot.
Crooks ezek után körülbelül 40 másodperccel nyolc lövést adott le Donald Trump volt elnökre, akit a fülénél talált el. Alig pár másodperccel később a titkosszolgálat mesterlövésze lelőtte a merénylőt.
A lövöldözővel való szembenézés után a rendőr az épület másik oldalára futott, és az autójához rohant egy puskáért.
Ilyen kib****** közel volt, tesó – mondta a Crooksot megpillantó tiszt, majd hozzátette, az elkövető felé fordította a fegyverét. A videót a butleri rendőrkapitányság adta ki a CNN közérdekű adatigénylésére válaszul.
Közben a rendőrség által közzétett másik videón az hallható, amint az egyik rendőr a lövöldözés után körülbelül 10 perccel azt mondja a kollégáinak, hogy ő előre szólt a titkosszolgálatnak, hogy ahhoz az épülethez is állítsanak rendfenntartó erőket, ahonnan Crooks tüzelt.
„Ku***** megmondtam nekik, hogy kib******** ide kell állítaniuk a srácokat – állította a rendőr. „Mondtam nekik, a kib****** titkosszolgálatnak, mondtam nekik kib****** kedden.” Egy másik tiszt erre azt válaszolta, „nem is aggódtam emiatt, mert azt hittem, hogy van valaki [közülünk] a tetőn.”
„Beszéltem a titkosszolgálatiakkal, ők azt mondták: »Igen, semmi gond, állítani fogunk ide embereket«” – felelte erre az első tiszt.
A titkosszolgálat három mesterlövészt helyezett el az egyik szomszédos épületen belül.
Egyikőjük aznap korábban lefényképezte Crooksot, majd elhagyta a posztját, hogy megkeresse a gyanús személyt.
A titkosszolgálat közölte, vizsgálja a most nyilvánosságra hozott testkamerás videót.

Az orosz propagandisták felrobbantása mögött az ukrán titkosszolgálatok állnak – jelentette ki kedden Kirilo Budanov tábornok, a Védelmi Minisztérium hírszerzési főosztályának vezetője egy lapinterjúban, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Budanov a Riznyi Ljudi című kiadványnak nyilatkozva azt mondta: „Mondjuk ki, már sokakat (oroszokat – a szerk.) elkaptunk. Vannak olyan médiában megszellőztetett és nyilvános ügyek, amelyek a „társadalom közkincsévé” válnak, ahogy mondani szokás.”
Ukrajna fő katonai hírszerzője ugyanakkor közölte, hogy nem nyilatkozik hivatalának érintettségéről az oroszok felrobbantásának konkrét eseteit illetően. „Amikor egyénekről van szó, azt kell mondanom, ahogy klasszikusan a világ bármelyik titkosszolgálatában teszik: nem nyilatkozhatunk, nem tudjuk sem megerősíteni, sem cáfolni” – magyarázta Kirilo Budanov.

A hírről elsőként a liberális Dennik N számolt be, ők úgy tudják, hogy a titkosszolgálati vezetőt korrupció gyanúja miatt vették őrizetbe A lap szerint Pcolinsky korábban pénzt fogadott el egy jelenleg vizsgálati fogságban lévő nagyvállalkozótól, Zoroslav Kollártól, állítólag azért, hogy állíttassa le a titkosszolgálat ellene folytatott lehallgatásait.
A lap információi szerint Pcolinskyt saját egykori helyettese, az ősztől ugyancsak korrupciós vádak alapján vizsgálati fogságban lévő Boris Bena tanúvallomása alapján vehették őrizetbe.
A pártja azt kéri, helyezzék szolgálaton kívül A NAKA tavaly ősz óta több magasrangú rendőrségi, titkosszolgálati és más tisztségviselőt, illetve befolyásosnak tartott gazdasági szereplőt vett őrizetbe.
A mostani eset ezektől jelentősen különbözik abban, hogy olyan személyt érint, akit már a jelenlegi kormányzat nevezett ki. A SIS igazgatói posztját tavaly tavasztól betöltő Vladimír Pcolinskyt a négypárti szlovák kormánykoalíció második legerősebb pártja, a Boris Kollár vezette Család vagyunk párt jelölte erre a posztra.
A párt elnöke Pcolinsky őrizetbevételére reagálva, levélben fordult az államfőhöz, azt kérve: azonnal helyezze szolgálaton kívül a titkosszolgálati igazgatót, hogy vallomást tehessen az ügyben.

A Fehér Ház utasította az amerikai hírszerző ügynökségeket, hogy fésüljék át a lehallgatott kommunikációs csatornákat, műholdképeket, kémjelentéseket és más forrásokat olyan információk után, melyek azt bizonyítják, hogy Kína vagy az Egészségügyi Világszervezet tudatosan elhallgatott a nemzetközi közösség előtt a koronavírus-járvány korai szakaszában bizonyos értesüléseket, kutatási adatokat.
Az utasítás az NBC szerdai értesülései szerint arra is kiterjed, a WHO vajon tudott-e a két vuhani kutatólaboratóriumról, melyekről elterjedt, hogy egyikük falai közül szabadulhatott ki a vírus a város piacára (mondjuk a hipotézis mellett eddig nem sikerült igazán erős bizonyítékokat felsorakoztatni).
Donald Trump, illetve kabinetjének tagjai nem is rejtették véka alá, hogy minden követ meg akarnak mozgatni Kína, illetve a WHO egyébként bizonyos szempontból valós és dokumentált felelősségének bizonyítása érdekében. Mike Pompeo külügyminiszter szerdán sajtótájékoztatón bejelentette:
„Az Egyesült Államok számos veszélyes fertőző anyaggal kísérletező kínai laboratóriumról tud, de nem bizonyosodott meg afelől, hogy ezek a létesítmények megfelelő biztonságot nyújtanak egy jövőbeli járvány kitörése ellen.”
Azonban az USA kormányzata bizonyos szempontból nyitott kapukat dönget, hiszen amerikai hírszerző ügynökségek már novemberben (a járvány kezdeti szakaszában) figyelmeztették a kormányzatot a fenyegetésre. A Trump asztalára kerülő napi tájékoztatókban pedig legalább tucatnyi alkalommal jelent meg január és február folyamán a koronavírus-helyzetről szóló tájékoztató, mint ahogy az a figyelmeztetés is, miszerint a pekingi vezetés megpróbálja eltussolni a járvány valódi kiterjedését, illetve annak globális veszélyeit.
