A rendőrség közölte: a halálos áldozatok között gyermekek is vannak.
Szombat este a Polsat News tudatta: a nyomozóhatóságok őrizetbe vették a baleset egyik résztvevőjét, egy 37 éves kamionsofőrt, aki az előzetes rendőrségi vizsgálat szerint belehajtott az előtte kialakult dugóban álló járművekbe, és így okozta a közlekedési katasztrófát. A gyanúsítottat vasárnap hallgatják ki, egyelőre megállapították, hogy nem volt ittas állapotban.

Három kamion és két terepjáró ütközött össze az Egyesült Államok beli Wilson megyében szerdán történt balesetben.
Öt ember meghalt abban a balesetben, ami Wilson megyében történt a I95-ös úton – közölték a tisztviselők szerdán. A szerencsétlenség délután fél 2 körül történt, három kamion és két terepjáró karambolozott – írja az abc11.
A tájékoztatás szerint egy narancsot szállító kamion nekiütközött két terepjárónak és egy tojást szállító kamionnak.
Egy másik kamiont is elért, az homokot szállított. A narancsot szállító teherautó kigyulladt, amelyik a tojást szállította, az az árokba borult.
Legalább három embert kórházba szállítottak, az állapotukról egyelőre nincs hír.
Azt sem tudni, hogy pontosan mi történt.
„New Yorkba tartunk, szerettünk volna egy kicsit kikapcsolódni az iskolakezdés előtt” – mondta Michael Broughton, aki a családjával várakozott a dugóban. „Ez nagyon szomorú, nagyon megérintett” – tette hozzá.
A hatóságok tájékoztatása szerint a balesetet okozó kamionos ellen vádat emeltek.

A 35 autót érintő tömegkarambol a hatóságok szerint szombat reggel fél nyolc körül történt. Jim Calhoun, a tűzoltóság szóvivője elmondta, hogy a látótávolság nagyjából három méter volt, amikor a csapatok megérkeztek a helyszínre – írta a Fox.
Az egy kilométernyi szélességben elterülő balesetben 17 autó és 18 teherautó volt érintett.
Két embert a helyszínen halottnak nyilvánítottak, kilenc másik embert pedig kisebb sérülésekkel kórházba szállítottak.
Elég kaotikus volt, amikor a helyszínre értünk. Egyes kamionok tartályai megrepedtek, így sűrű földgázt lehetett észlelni a területen, alig láttunk. Először azzal kellett foglalkoznunk, hogy mindenkit evakuáljunk – mondta a szóvivő.

Súlyos buszbaleset történt az észak-mármarai autópályán a törökországi Sakarya tartományban csütörtök délelőtt.
A baleset az autópálya Isztambul felé vezető oldalán történt, három autóbusz és egy teherautó ütközött össze. A balesetben összesen 10-en haltak meg. Néhány utast, akiknek sikerült elhagyniuk a buszt, halálra gázoltak az elhaladó autók – írja a Hurriyet Daily News.

Legalább nyolc ember meghalt és mintegy 15 megsérült Caracas külvárosának egyik autópályáján. Az úttesten először egy kisebb baleset történt, négy autó ütközött össze, miközben az útburkolat javítása zajlott. Az ütközés miatt a forgalom leállt.
Egy arra közlekedő teherautó sofőrje azonban nem vette észre ezt időben és nekihajtott az álló kocsisornak. Úgy tudni, a rossz látási viszonyok okozhatták a tragédiát. Miranda állam kormányzója szerint 16 jármű gyulladt ki a balesetben.
A BBC szerint az egyik várakozó autó gyúlékony folyadékot szállított, ami az ütközés miatt kifolyt és lángra kapott. A helyszínről készült videók szerint
Caracasból tűzoltókat és mentőket vezényeltek ki a tűz oltására és a sérültek ellátására.
