Nigériában egy jótékonysági rendezvényen kialakult tülekedésben harmincegyen meghaltak és heten megsérültek – jelentette szombaton a helyi rendőrség.
A Nigéria déli részén található Port Harcourt városában nagy tömeg gyűlt össze a King’s Assembly nevű egyházi gyülekezet jótékonysági akciójára, ahol a résztvevők ingyen juthattak különféle árucikkekhez. Voltak, akik már pénteken megérkeztek a helyszínre. Szemtanúk szerint több ezren várakoztak a golfpálya előtt, ahol a jótékonysági eseményt tartották – írta honlapján a PM News című nigériai napilap.
A tömeg még a szombat reggeli nyitás előtt türelmetlenné vált, betörte a kapukat, és bezúdult a területre. Ezt követően pánikhangulat alakult ki, vélhetőleg a nagy zsúfoltság miatt – mondta el Grace Iringe-Koko rendőrségi szóvivő.
Az áldozatokat, akik között nők és gyermekek is voltak, a közeli katonai kórházba szállították.
A rendőrség nyomozást indított az ügyben, és többeket őrizetbe vett.
Hasonló esetek a múltban is történtek. Tavaly júliusban heten meghaltak az ország északkeleti részén található Maiduguriban egy ételosztás során.

Biztonsági ellenőrzés közben elsült egy lőfegyver az atlantai repülőtéren az Egyesült Államokban szombaton, pánik tört ki, hárman megsérültek – közölték a hatóságok. A közösségi médiát ellepték az ország egyik legforgalmasabb légikikötőjében kialakult káoszt tükröző felvételek.
Egy utas vizsgálat közben belenyúlt a táskájába, megmarkolta a nála lévő lőfegyvert, ami elsült. A reptéren ideiglenesen leállították a járatok indítását – közölték a hatóságok. A vétkes utas azonnal kirohant az ellenőrzőpontról, és elmenekült a repülőtér egyik kijáratán – derült ki a tájékoztatásból. Nem szándékos, hanem vétlen lövöldözés történt.
A közösségi médiában megjelentek azok a felvételek, amelyeket a riadt utazók videókat tettek közzé a Twitteren és más online oldalakon a Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta nemzetközi repülőtéren, az ország egyik legforgalmasabb légikikötőjében kialakult káosz pillanatairól.
Három ember megsérült, de sérüléseik nem voltak életveszélyesek, és senkit sem lőttek meg – közölte a közlekedésbiztonsági hivatal (TSA), anélkül, hogy részletezte volna az esetet. A közösségi média felhasználói szerint a fennakadás hosszú sorokat és egyesek számára lekésett járatokat jelentett. Az incidens a hálaadási ünnepi utazási főszezon előtt történt. Nem derült ki, hogy a menekülő utast később megállították-e, vagy a lőfegyvert visszaszerezték-e. A repülőtér működése azonban legalább két órán át szünetelt, amíg a nyomozás folytatódott.
„Sem az utasok, sem az alkalmazottak nem voltak veszélyben”– közölték a repülőtér illetékesei.
A közlekedésbiztonsági hivatal közleménye szerint egy tisztviselő egy utas táskáját akarta a repülőtér fő ellenőrzőpontján megvizsgálni, mert a röntgen egy tiltott tárgyat észlelt. A tisztviselő az utasnak azt tanácsolta, hogy ne nyúljon a tárgyhoz, de amikor a biztonsági ember kinyitotta a tiltott tárgyat tartalmazó rekeszt, az utas belenyúlt a táskába, és megragadta a lőfegyvert, ami ekkor elsült. Az utas ezután elmenekült. A hatóságok nem erősítették meg, hogy egy vagy több lövés dördült el. Az atlantai rendőrség mindent tisztázott, és a repülőtéren két óra múlva helyreállt a rend, de minden utast újra átvizsgáltak.
Az Atlanta Journal-Constitution helyi híroldal beszámolója szerint egyesek a lövések hallatán kirohantak a reptérről, ami a Twitter közösségi oldalra feltett videofelvételen is látszik. A repülőtéri ellenőrzőpontokon lőfegyverrel rajtakapott utasok büntetésre számíthatnak. A TSA szerint a tisztviselők csak ebben az évben legalább 450 lőfegyvert találtak az atlantai repülőtér biztonsági ellenőrző pontjain.

Tömegkatasztrófa történt péntek este Houstonban, az Astroworld nevű zenei fesztiválon. Rengeteg ember megsérült.
Travis Scott az Astroworld zenei fesztivál színpadán lépett fel a minap. A koncert közben egyszer csak megindult a tömeg a színpad felé, mire kitört a pánik a közönség soraiban.
Egymást lökték, tolták, nyomták az emberek, melynek következtében nyolc embert halálra tapostak, és több tucatnyian megsérültek. A helyszínen 300 embert láttak el, 22 embert pedig a közeli kórházakba szállítottak. A halálok pontos okát még nem tudni, de az már kiderült, hogy a kórházban ápoltak közül 11 embernek volt szívleállása.
Az ABC 13-as televíziós csatornájának újságírója, Mycah Hatfield pedig a saját Twitter-oldalára tett közzé egy videót, amelyből kiderült, hogy ez a fajta tragédia szinte kódolva volt a tömeg elképesztő felelőtlensége miatt.
Mint a videón is látható, az emberek egy másodpercre sem törődtek a biztonsági ellenőrzésekkel, a sorok betartásával, hanem elkezdtek sprintelni a kapukon keresztül a fesztivál területére. Többen futás közben elestek, de nem törődött ezzel senki.
Ahogy egyre nagyobb tömeg futott át a biztonsági ellenőrzésen, a kapukat a fejvesztve rohanók ki is döntötték. Csoda, hogy már ezen felelőtlen jelenetsor során nem sérült meg senki komolyabban, amekkora volt a káosz.

A tömegpánik akkor alakult ki, amikor a rendőrség razziát tartott a limai éjszakai klubban, ahol a koronavírus elleni védekezésképpen bevezetett tiltás ellenére tartottak zenés-táncos rendezvényt.
Az illegális buliban mintegy 120 ember vett részt Lima Los Olivos kerületében. A Thomas Restobar nevű szórakozóhelyre érkező rendőrök elkezdték feloszlatni az összejövetelt, minthogy nemcsak a tömegrendezvények esnek tilalom alá az országban, de este 10 óra után általános kijárási tilalom van érvényben.
Noha Peru volt az egyik első latin-amerikai ország, amely szigorú intézkedéseket léptetett életbe a koronavírus terjedésének megakadályozása érdekében, jelenleg mégis az egyik legsúlyosabban fertőzött ország a térségben. Az adatok szerint eddig 576 ezren betegedtek meg a Covid-19 betegségben igazolt módon, és több mint 27 ezren meghaltak.
A belügyminisztérium közlése szerint a pánik annak ellenére tört ki a diszkóban, hogy a rendőrség semmiféle fegyvert (sem könnygázt) nem alkalmazott az oszlatáskor. A klub az épület második emeletén üzemelt, és amikor a tömeg menekülni kezdett a rendőrök elől, a lépcsőházban taposták halálra egymást. Most a klub tulajdonosát azonosítják, eddig 23 embert vettek őrizetbe.
