A Trami tájfun heves esőzései eddig hét halálos áldozatot követeltek, egy embert pedig még keresnek Dél-Kínában, Hajnan szigetén – közölték a helyi hatóságok szerdán.
A szezon 20. trópusi vihara hétfőn érte el Hajnan partjait, jelentős esőzéseket hozva, melyek miatt több mint 40 ezer embert evakuáltak. Az áldozatok száma szerda reggelig hétre emelkedett, egy embert pedig továbbra is eltűntként tartanak nyilván.
A kínai vízügyi minisztérium négyes fokozatú vészhelyzetet rendelt el az esőzések és áradások következtében. Csiunghaj térségét különösen súlyosan érintette a vihar, ahol kedden a legmagasabb szintű készültséget léptették életbe.
Az előrejelzések további zivatarokat és áradásokat jósolnak, különösen a folyók mentén, ahol a vízszint meghaladhatja a figyelmeztetési határt.
A Trami tájfun korábban a Fülöp-szigeteken is pusztított, ahol 4,2 millió ember élete került veszélybe, 125 ember vesztette életét, és legalább 34 eltűnt. Az ottani áradások és földcsuszamlások következtében közel egymillióan kényszerültek elhagyni otthonaikat.
