Országos médiumok beszámolója alapján péntek este New Yorkban és Washingtonban a csúcsforgalom idején tartottak tömegtüntetést.
New York vasútállomása, a Penn Station bejáratát zárták el a tűzszünetet követelő tüntetők, akik között feltűnt és beszédet mondott Susan Sarandon, Oscar-díjas színésznő.
Washington fő pályaudvara, a Union Station bejáratát zárták el a tüntetők, akik közül három embert őrizetbe vett a rendőrség.
A tiltakozó táblákon az Izraelnek küldött amerikai támogatások leállítását követelték, valamint az Izrael megalakulása előtti, 1948-as határokat a Közel-Keleten, „imperialista mohóságot” emlegettek az izraeli válaszcsapás nyomán, és a „Tisztelet a palesztin mártíroknak” felirattal vonultak.
