A Kanári-szigetekhez tartozó La Gomerán, a brit turistákat szállító busz egy meredek hajtűkanyarban a mélybe zuhant. A helyszínre mentőhelikopterek is érkeztek, a tűzoltók a roncsok közül mentették ki a túlélőket – számolt be a Daily Mail.
A buszban a sofőr mellett 28 brit turista tartózkodott. A helyi hatóságok közlése szerint a szerencsétlenségben egy brit férfi meghalt, 27 másik ember pedig megsérült, közülük hárman súlyosan.
A csoport feltehetően a San Sebastián de La Gomera-i kikötőbe tartott, hogy komppal átkeljenek Tenerifére. A sofőr az út egyik veszélyes szakaszán vesztette el az irányítást a jármű felett, ami miatt a busz áthajtott az úttesten, és végül – a töltésen lecsúszva – a szakadék felé vette az irányt.
A baleset körülményeinek feltárására a rendőrség nyomozást indított, és egyelőre nem lehet tudni, mi okozta a tragédiát. A jelentések szerint fékmeghibásodás is szerepet játszhatott a katasztrófában. A hatóságok szerint a baleset súlyossága miatt példátlan mértékű vészhelyzeti mozgósításra volt szükség, hogy a sérülteket időben kórházba juttassák.

Teherautóval ütközött egy turistákat szállító autóbusz Egyiptomban, a Vörös-tenger partján kedden hajnalban, a balesetben két ember meghalt, és 36-an megsérültek, többségükben külföldiek – közölték helyi illetékesek a Facebookon kedden.
Összesen 38 ember utazott a buszon. A balesetben egy egyiptomi férfi és egy orosz nő vesztette életét. Helyi sajtójelentések szerint a 36 sérült közül 24-en külföldiek. Az egyelőre tisztázatlan, hogy milyen állampolgárságúak.
A baleset a kora reggeli órákban történt. A sérülteket az 5 kilométerre levő Rász-Garíb város kórházába szállították. A TASZSZ orosz állami hírügynökség az egyiptomi al-Maszri al-Jaum portálra hivatkozva ellenben azt írta, hogy a sérültek közül 27-en orosz állampolgárok. A portál szerint az egyik halálos áldozat a buszsofőr.
A turistabusz Hurgadából Kairóba tartott. A kairói orosz nagykövetség egyelőre nem adott ki nyilatkozatot a baleset ügyében.

Balesetet szenvedett egy turistabusz Olaszországban, egy ember életét vesztette, huszonöten megsérültek, ketten közülük súlyosan – közölte az ANSA olasz hírügynökség a helyi hatóságokra hivatkozva.
A baleset a toszkánai Arezzo városának közelében történt, a busz egy szalagkorlát elejének hajtott egyelőre ismeretlen okból. A tűzoltóság által helyszínen készült felvételeken látható, hogy a szélvédőt gyakorlatilag átdöfte a szalagkorlát. Eugenio Giani tartományi elnök szerint kínai turistákról van szó.
Összesen 45-en utaztak a járművön.
A hatóságok szerint a tűzoltóknak eleinte gondjaik adódtak az emberek kiszabadításával a roncsból az ütközés után, de végül sikerrel jártak.
