A dél-afrikai rendőrség tűzpárbaj során kiszabadította a múlt héten elrabolt amerikai lelkészt, aki csodával határos módon épségben került elő – számolt be az MTI.
A 45 éves Josh Sullivant a múlt héten rabolták el fegyveresek a dél-afrikai Gqeberha kikötőváros mellett, miközben prédikációt tartott egy helyi templomban. A fegyveresek a foglyul ejtett lelkészt az autójába kényszerítették, és azzal hajtottak el a helyszínről, majd az autót a templomtól mintegy 1,5 kilométerre hátrahagyták, onnan pedig ismeretlen irányba menekültek tovább.
A rendőrség különleges egysége közölte, hogy a lelkészt ugyanabban a városban szabadították ki, ahol elrabolták.
A rendőrség jelentése szerint a rendfenntartó erők „nagy intenzitású tűzharc” során három gyanúsítottal végeztek. Sullivant ugyanabban a járműben találták meg, amelyből a gyanúsítottak a támadást indították. Csodával határos módon a lelkésznek nem esett bántódása, az orvosi vizsgálat szerint kiváló egészségnek örvend – tették hozzá.
A növekvő szegénység és a társadalmi egyenlőtlenségek miatt az utóbbi években jelentősen megemelkedett a fegyveres bűnbandák által elkövetett emberrablások száma a Dél-afrikai Köztársaságban. A helyi rendőrségi statisztika szerint az elmúlt két év folyamán több mint 17 ezer emberrablás történt az országban, ami 11 százalékos növekedésnek felel meg az azt megelőző 2022-es év átlagához képest. A szervezett bűnözői csoportok főleg olyan személyeket rabolnak el, akiknek a szabadon engedéséért nagy összegű váltságdíj kifizetését remélik.

A feketébe öltözött, fekete maszkot viselő támadó a térfigyelő kamerák felvételei szerint automata gépfegyverrel felfegyverkezve érte utol a 34 éves Balisanszkijt lakóházának udvarán, ahol megsebesítette majd addig üldözte, amíg áldozata el nem esett, majd fejlövéssel végzett vele. Az elkövetőt, aki egy erdős területre menekült, hamarosan felfedezték. Az elfogásnak ellenállt, tűzharcba keveredett a rendőrökkel, és súlyosan megsebesült a fején.

Tűzharc tört ki szombaton a guineai főváros, Conakry központjában, emiatt a biztonsági erők gyorsan lezárták a környéket – közölték szemtanúk az AFP-vel.
A folyamatos fegyverropogás okát egyelőre nem sikerült tisztázni. A nyugat-afrikai országot 2021 szeptembere óta Mamady Doumbouya ezredes vezeti, aki 11 év polgári uralom után puccsal vette át a hatalmat.
„A városközpontot hajnal óta lezárták, nem tudunk se bemenni, se kimenni” – mondta egy neve elhallgatását kérő boltos.
Több szemtanú szerint az utak üresek voltak, és több ponton páncélozott járműveket lehetett látni a Kaloum nevű városnegyed környékén.
A főváros ezen részén található az elnöki hivatal, valamint több vezető kormányzati és közigazgatási hivatal, továbbá a katonai parancsnokság és a központi börtön.
Több szemtanú szerint a lövöldözés a börtön közelében robbant ki, írja a France 24 francia állami televíziós hírcsatorna.
Egy repülőtéri forrás szerint szombat reggel egyetlen járat sem szállt fel Conakry nemzetközi repülőteréről, mivel a légi forgalmi személyzet nem tudott eljutni a repülőtérre Kaloumból.

Több száz fegyverre bukkantak a koszovói rendőrök abban az észak-koszovói faluban, ahol vasárnap lövöldözés tört ki szerb nemzetiségű maszkos fegyveresek és koszovói rendőrök között.
A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint több száz fegyvert, valamint katonai felszereléseket találtak Bajske faluban egy lakóházban és több járműben ott, ahol egy nappal korábban két, rendszámtábla nélküli teherautó zárta el a forgalmat a helyi hídon. Amikor a rendőrök intézkedni akartak, rájuk lőttek.
A tűzharcban egy rendőr meghalt, három megsebesült, három támadót lelőttek, kettőt megsebesítettek, ötöt pedig letartóztattak a rendőrök.
A koszovói kormány országos gyászt hirdetett hétfőre a rendőr halála miatt.
Mindazért, ami Koszovóban történik, kizárólag Albin Kurti koszovói miniszterelnök a felelős, aki azt szeretné, hogy Szerbia összeütközésbe kerüljön a NATO-val – hangsúlyozta Aleksandar Vucic szerb köztársasági elnök vasárnap esti rendkívüli sajtótájékoztatóján. Míg a szerb elnök szerint a koszovói rendőrökre felháborodott helyi szerbek támadtak, Albin Kurti szerint jól felfegyverzett, képzett harcosokról, „terrorista bűnszervezetről” van szó, amelyet
Belgrád politikailag és pénzügyileg támogat.
A Szerbia és Koszovó közötti feszültség az utóbbi hónapokban kiéleződött. Koszovóban zavargások törtek ki május végén, amikor a helyi szerbek által bojkottált áprilisi helyhatósági választások után a többségében szerbek lakta térségben az ott leadott albán szavazatok alapján mindössze 3,5 százalékos részvételi arány mellett megválasztott albán polgármesterek el akarták foglalni hivatalukat. A helyi szerbek koszovói rendőrökre és a NATO irányítása alatt álló békefenntartó haderőnek, a KFOR-nak a katonáira támadtak.
Az 1,8 milliós Koszovó északi részén, tömbben mintegy 50 ezer szerb él.
Koszovó 2008-ban egyoldalúan kiáltotta ki függetlenségét Szerbiától, amit Belgrád azóta sem hajlandó elismerni, és továbbra is saját, déli tartományának tartja a többségében albánok lakta területet. Aleksandar Vucic vasárnap ismét leszögezte, Szerbia soha nem fogja elismerni Koszovó függetlenségét.

A robbanások után tűzharc bontakozott ki fegyveres támadók és a tálib biztonsági erők között egy szikh templomnál Kabulban szombat reggel, az incidensben legkevesebb két ember megsebesült – közölték a helyi hatóságok.
Az afgán belügyminisztérium szóvivőjének közlése szerint egy robbanószerrel megrakott járművet akartak a levegőbe röpíteni, de az autó még azelőtt felrobbant, hogy a célpontjához odaért volna.
Egyelőre nem világos, mely csoport állhatott a merénylet hátterében.
Az utóbbi hónapokban számos támadást hajtottak végre militáns csoportok Afganisztánban, némelyik elkövetőjeként az Iszlám Állam terrorszervezet jelentkezett.
A szikh vallásnak apró kis közössége van csak jelen a túlnyomórészt muszlim többségű Afganisztánban. A tálibok tavaly augusztusi hatalomátvétele előtt nagyjából 300 szikh család élt az országban, közülük aztán a hatalomváltás után sokan külföldre mentek. Más vallási kisebbségekhez hasonlóan a szikh közösség is volt már erőszakos támadás célpontja Afganisztánban: 2020 márciusában egy másik kabuli templomuknál hajtott végre merényletet az Iszlám Állam, akkor 25 embert öltek meg.
Az indiai külügyminisztérium a szombat reggeli robbantásra reagálva aggodalmát fejezte ki, és jelezte, hogy figyelemmel követik a fejleményeket, és várják a további részleteket az ügyről.

A szeparatista fegyveresek ismét megsértették a fegyvernyugvást Donbászon, az ellenséges tűzben az Egyesített Erők Műveletének (OOSZ) négy katonája életét vesztette, kettő pedig megsebesült – adta hírül csütörtökön az rbc.ua hírportál a műveleti parancsnokság közlésére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint az oroszbarát fegyveresek tűz alá vették az ukrán állásokat Sumi közelében tiltott 82 milliméteres aknavetőkből, állványos gránátvetőkből és nagy kaliberű golyószórókból. Az ellenséges tűz következtében négy ukrán katona meghalt, kettő pedig megsebesült. A sebesülteket a helyszínen elsősegélyben részesítették, majd kórházba szállították őket.
A megszállók lövéseit az ukrán katonák választüzeléssel viszonozták. Az ukrán fél az incidensről értesítette az Európai Biztonsági és Együttműködési Szervezet (EBESZ) megfigyelő missziójának képviselőit.

A jelentés szerint az incidens az orosz Szövetségi Biztonsági Szolgálat (FSZB) ellenőrzése alá tartozó Belgorod és Voronyezs megyei határszakaszon történt. Az ott szolgálatot teljesítő határőrök pénteken megakadályozták Ukrajna felől érkező három ismeretlen fegyveres határsértési kísérletét. Elfogásuk során a csoport tagjai fegyveres ellenállást tanúsítottak. A kialakult tűzpárbajban az egyik fegyveres halálosan megsebesült. Az FSZB közlése szerint ketten ukrán területre menekültek.

Órákig tartó tűzharc robbant ki Kairóban a rendőrség és feltételezett iszlamista lázadók között. Az összecsapásban legalább hét lázadó és egy rendőr életét vesztette.
Az egyiptomi belügyminisztérium tájékoztatása szerint értesülést kaptak arról, hogy „egy eretnek iszlám tanokat valló terrorista csoport bujkál Kairó különböző déli és keleti kerületeiben, és terrortámadásokra készül”. Az egyiptomi hatóságok az eretnek kifejezést azokra az szélsőséges iszlamistákra használják, akik általuk hitetlennek tartott embereket támadnak meg.
A rendőrség rajtaütött az egyik ilyen sejten al-Amijira kerület egyik lakóépületében. A rajtaütésről felvétel készült, amelyet két magán tévéadó is lejátszott. A felvételen hallatszik, amint a rendőrök felszólítják a környékbeli lakosokat, hogy zárkózzanak be otthonukba, és ne menjenek az ajtókhoz, ablakokhoz. A rendőrök több órányi tűzpárbaj árán tudták csak megsemmisíteni a „terroristasejtet”. Rejtekhelyén fegyvereket és sok lőszert találtak.
A minisztériumi közlemény szerint a szélsőségesek eredetileg arra készültek, hogy kopt keresztényeket támadnak meg húsvéti ünnepükön, amely a hétvégén lesz. De miután Egyiptomban is kijárási korlátozások vannak az új koronavírus-járvány miatt – például éjszakai kijárási tilalom van – úgy döntöttek, hogy a biztonsági erők járőröző tagjait fogják megtámadni.
