Kiper elmondása szerint az összes incidens olyan helyeken történt, ahol tilos az úszás. A régióban hivatalosan 32 biztonságos úszási zóna van: 30 Odesszában, egy-egy pedig az Izmaili járási Csornomorszkban és a Primorszkban.
A rendőrség pontosította, hogy a robbanások a Bilhorod-Dnyisztrovszkij járási Karolino-Buhazi kistérségben történtek. A helyszínen technikusok, nyomozók és operatív csoportok, valamint mentőalakulatok dolgoznak. Az incidensek körülményeit vizsgálják.
A bűnüldöző szervek az ukrán Büntető Törvénykönyv 115. cikkelye alapján, „baleset” jelöléssel vizsgálják az eseteket.
