Legkevesebb három ember életét követelte, és több száz épületet pusztítottak el az Urál-hegységben és a tőle keletre fekvő nyugat-szibériai területeken tomboló erdőtüzek Oroszországban; a terjedő lángok miatt kitelepítik az érintett települések lakosságát, és több vizsgálatot indítottak a tűz keletkezésének felderítése érdekében.
Alekszandr Kurenkov, az orosz rendkívüli helyzetek minisztériumának vezetője hétfőn reggel a nyugat-szibériai Kurgani területre repült, ahol az erdőtüzek már több településre is átterjedtek. A megye vizsgálóbizottsága bűnügyi vizsgálatot indított a tűzesetekkel kapcsolatban.
„A tűz terjedését a felelős tisztségviselők vélhető hanyagsága idézhette elő” – áll a bizottság honlapján olvasható közleményben.
A TASZSZ orosz állami hírügynökség jelentése szerint a Kurgani területen keletkezett 13 erdőtűzből eddig hatot sikerült megfékezni, mialatt hatalmas tüzek pusztítottak az uráli Szverdlovszki és a nyugat-szibériai Tyumenyi területeken is.
Vasárnap estére sikerült megfékezni azt a lőporraktárban keletkezett tüzet, amely miatt ki kellett üríteni egy falut a Szverdlovszki területen. A helyi katasztrófavédelem szerint azonban 53 további helyszínen, ahol eddig több mint 33 ezer hektárnyi erdőt emésztettek fel a lángok, tovább tombol a tűzvész.
A SOTA független hírportál információi szerint a szverdlovszki, április végén keletkezett tüzek egy részét robbanások és gyújtogatások okozhatták.
Az egyelőre ismeretlen eredetű tüzekben egy ember meghalt, és százak veszítették el otthonukat.
Tyumeny megyében vasárnap több mint 120 épület semmisült meg két településen. Összesen 23 erdőtűz pusztított a területen. Egy 49 éves helyi lakos életét vesztette, két másik pedig megsérült oltás közben – közölte hétfőn a megyei kormány sajtóosztálya.
