Az országban összesen 33 városban vezettek be korlátozó intézkedéseket a lakosok számára. Mióta Vuhanban 2019-ben kitört a járvány, Kína-szerte emberek tízmilliói kerültek karanténba vagy vesztegzár alá, amelyet a hatóságok kíméletlenül keresztülvittek, gyakran megakadályozva a lakosokat abban, hogy élelmiszerhez, egészségügyi ellátáshoz vagy alapvető létszükségleti cikkekhez jussanak.
A legnagyobb kínai város, Sanghaj öthetes zárlata megbénította a helyi gazdaságot, tiltakozásokhoz és a külföldi állampolgárok elvándorlásához vezetett.

A jelentés szerint a megyei hatóságok úgy döntöttek, hogy a helyi vállalkozók panaszai és a karanténszabályok megsértése miatt lezárják Bukovelt. A hegyi üdülőhelyre vezető utakon ellenőrző pontokat állítanak fel, amelyeken keresztül csak a helyi lakosok és a településen dolgozók közlekedhetnek akadálytalanul, a karanténszabályok betartása mellett.
Andrij Bojcsuk, Ivano-Frankivszk megye kormányzója a bizottsági ülés után a sajtónak nyilatkozva elmondta, hogy a régió a vörös karanténövezetben van, és a járvány terjedése fokozódik, csökkenésre utaló jel nem látható. „A kisvállalkozók gyakran kérdezik, miért van ez az igazságtalanság, hogy a nagyvállalatok működhetnek, a kicsik pedig nem?” – tette hozzá a megyevezető, megjegyezve, hogy a térségben rendőri egységek biztosítják a korlátozások betartatását.
Mint mi is beszámoltunk róla, csütörtökön figyelmeztető útlezárással követelték Bukovel síközpont bezárását Ivano-Frankivszk megyei vállalkozók, akik felháborítónak tartották, hogy a hatóságok annak ellenére sem zárták be Bukovel síparadicsomot, hogy az elismerten a koronavírus terjedésének forrása.

A norvégiai Bodoe kikötőjében vesztegzár alá helyeztek egy turistahajót szerdán, miután egy korábbi utasnak pozitív lett a koronavírus-tesztje.
A tájékoztatás szerint a hajó 123 utasa és 85 fős személyzete további utasításig nem szállhat partra.
Nagyon komolyan vesszük a helyzetet – mondta Ida Pinnerodtold helyi polgármester az NRK norvég közszolgálati csatornának. Hozzátette, hogy kapcsolatba léptek az országos közegészségügyi intézettel, hogy a személyzet tagjai mellett az utasokat is leteszteljék-e. A hajó tulajdonosa, a SeaDream Yacht Club arról számolt be, hogy nincs tudomásuk fertőzöttről vagy gyanús tüneteket produkáló személyről a fedélzeten, ugyanakkor minden szükséges óvintézkedést meghoznak. Az egyik korábbi utast, aki még vasárnap szállt partra, kedden diagnosztizálták koronavírussal egy rutinellenőrzés során, amikor megérkezett Dániába. Eközben az észak-norvégiai Tromso kikötőjében veszteglő Roald Amundsen turistahajón már 44 fertőzöttet regisztráltak – közölték a hatóságok. A turistahajó 160 fős legénységét elkülönítették múlt pénteken, miután négy kollégájukat koronavírus-fertőzéssel kórházba vitték. Norvégia a történtekre tekintettel ideiglenesen szigorította a turistahajókra vonatkozó szabályokat hétfőn.

Koronavírus-járvány miatt vesztegzár alá került két amerikai támaszpont a japán Okinava szigetén – közölte szombaton az Okinava prefektúra kormánya.
Az ott állomásozó amerikai csapatok arról tájékoztatták a helyi hatóságokat, hogy kedd és szombat között 61 koronavírusos fertőzéses esetre derült fény a Futenma és Camp Hansen tengerészgyalogsági támaszponton, ezért mindkettőt karantén alá helyezték. Két járványos gócot találtak, és elszigeteltek mindenkit, akinek pozitív lett a koronavírustesztje.
Az NHK közszolgálati televízió híradásában azonban az hangzott el, hogy a közölteknél jóval több, 148 amerikai katona kapta el a koronavírust.
Tamaki Denni okinavai kormányzó közölte, hogy sokkolta az amerikai hadsereg tájékoztatója, és ezek után erős kételyei vannak a kontingens járványmegelőzési intézkedéseit illetően.
Tamaki szerint az okinavai hatóságok birtokába kerültek olyan információk, hogy amerikai katonák július 4-én függetlenség napi rendezvényeken vettek részt okinavai városok strandjain és szórakozóhelyein. A kormányzó felszólította a rendezvények résztvevőit, hogy azonnal forduljanak orvoshoz, amennyiben nem érzik jól magukat.
Az amerikai tengerészgyalogság parancsnoksága a járványveszély miatt pénteken parancsba adta a korábbi járványkorlátozások visszaállítását az okinavai kontingensnél: korlátozzák a katonák kijárását, a helyi szórakozóhelyek felkeresését, nem használhatnak Okinaván tömegközlekedési eszközöket, és kizárólag a bázisok között közlekedő különtaxikkal utazhatnak.
Japánban a fertőzöttek száma meghaladja a 21 ezret – beleértve a Diamond Princess óceánjáról történt fertőzéses eseteteket –, 995 ember halt meg a koronavírus okozta Covid-19 betegség szövődményeibe. A gyógyultak száma mintegy 18 ezerre rúg, és 32 súlyos állapotban lévő beteget ápolnak intenzív osztályokon.
Okinaván eddig 148 koronavírusos fertőzöttet regisztráltak.

Több mint két hónap után oldották fel a vesztegzárat a járvány kínai gócának számító 11 millió lakosú Vuhanban, ahonnan az új koronavírus tavaly év végén terjedni kezdett – olvasható a Magyar Nemzetben.
A CCTV kínai állami hírcsatorna beszámolója szerint a jegyeladások alapján szerdán mintegy 55 ezer ember hagyja el Vuhant vasúton. Az egészségügyi hatóságok mindazonáltal továbbra is azt tanácsolják a város lakóinak, hogy csak a legszükségesebb esetben utazzanak el. Az utazást csak azoknak engedélyezik, akiknek van igazolásuk, hogy egészségesek.
Kína szárazföldi részén kedden 62 újabb embert diagnosztizáltak az új koronavírus okozta Covid-19 nevű betegséggel, közülük 59-en külföldről utaztak be. A behozott esetek száma ezzel 1042-re emelkedett. Ugyanezen a napon 137 tünetmentes fertőzöttet azonosítottak, közülük 102-en érkeztek külföldről. Jelenleg 1095 aszimptomatikus vírushordozót tartanak orvosi megfigyelés alatt.
Kedd éjfélig összesen 81 802 Covid-19 megbetegedést regisztráltak, közülük eddig 3333-an hunytak el a kínai szárazföldön.
Miközben a járvány az országban mérséklődni látszik, a kínai hatóságok vizsgálatot indítottak egy, a kormányzat járvánnyal kapcsolatos fellépését nyíltan kritizáló ingatlanmágnással szemben – írta a South China Morning Post (SCMP) című hongkongi lap. A Kínai Kommunista Párt fegyelmi vizsgálatokért felelős bizottsága egy keddi közleményben tudatta, hogy Zsen Csi-csiang, a Huayuan Ingatlantársaság korábbi vezetője ellen „a törvény és a fegyelem súlyos megszegése” miatt vizsgálatot indítottak. A SCMP cikke szerint a 69 éves Zsennel barátainak március 12 óta megszakadt a kapcsolata.
Az ingatlanmágnás ezt megelőzően egy cikket adott közre, amelyben kritizálta, ahogyan a kínai kormányzat eleinte megpróbálta elkendőzni az új vírus terjedését, és bírálta Pekinget, amiért jelenleg a járvány felett aratott sikerét népszerűsíti. Az írásban ráadásul Hszi Csin-ping kínai elnök egyre növekvő személyes hatalmát illetően is kritikát fogalmazott meg. Zsen a járványt a Kínai Kommunista Párt „kormányzási válságának” nevezte, és úgy vélekedett: a sajtó- és szólásszabadság hiánya akadályt jelentett abban, hogy az epidémiával szemben időben fellépjenek, ez pedig csak rontott a helyzeten. Az újabb karanténzónák Emilia-Romagna tartományban Modena, Parma, Piecenza és Reggio Emilia városokat és ezek környékét érintik, Marche tartományban Pesarót és Urbinót, Piemonte tartományban Asti és Alessandria térségét, Veneto tartományban Velence, Padova, Treviso városait.
Az úgynevezett „vörös zónákban” minimálisra kívánják csökkenteni a közösségi életet, a bevezetett intézkedésekkel egyebek között betiltják az esküvők, temetések rendezését, a sporteseményeket zárt ajtók mögött rendezik meg, lezárják a sípályákat, meghosszabbítják az Olaszország többi részén március 15-ig érvényes oktatási szünetet, hétvégére bezárják a bevásárlóközpontokat.
Vesztegzár alatt február 23-tól a lombardiai Lodi térségében tíz önkormányzat volt, majdnem ötvenezer lakossal, Veneto tartományban pedig a 3500 lakosú Vo’Euganeo városa.
A legmagasabb fokozatú óvintézkedések területi bővítését az indokolja, hogy csaknem megduplázódott a Covid-19 vírus újonnan diagnosztizált fertőzöttjeinek száma. Szombat esti közlés szerint egy nap alatt 1145-tel nőtt, ez majdnem kétszerese a pénteki 620-nak.
Az olaszországi fertőzöttek összesített száma elérte az 5883-at. Ebből 589-en már meggyógyultak. A még betegek közül 2651 személy szorul kórházi kezelésre, további 567 intenzív osztályon van, és ezeknek több mint a fele, 359 az északnyugati Lombardia tartományban.
