Oroszországban bejelentették Viktorija Roszcsina ukrán újságírónő halálát, aki 2023 augusztusában tűnt el Ukrajna megszállt területein. Ukrajna ellenőrzi ezeket az információkat. Az újságírónő haláláról apját, Volodimir Roszcsint értesítették ‒ írta Jaroszlav Jurcsisin, a Legfelső Tanács a szólásszabadság kérdéseivel foglalkozó bizottságának elnöke. Roszcsina állítólag a Taganrogtól Moszkváig tartó úton halt meg. Hogy mi okozta a halálát, és mikor történt, azt nem részletezték. Nem tudni, hogy Roszcsinát milyen státuszban és miért szállították.
Később Jurcsisin törölte bejegyzését, és megjegyezte, hogy ukrán rendfenntartóktól vár megerősítést Roszcsina halálával kapcsolatban.
Viktorija Roszcsina a hromadskénak dolgozott, írt az Ukrajinszka pravda és a Ragyio Szvoboda számára is. 2022-ben megkapta a Nemzetközi Női Média Alapítvány „Bátorság az újságírásban” díját.
