A jelentés szerint Barabas elmondta: „Amilyen forró volt a helyzet, olyan is maradt. Egy nap alatt valamivel több mint 30 hatalmas ágyúzás érte a közösség területét, és 12 légi bombázás.” A szavai szerint az orosz csapatok lövik az emberek menedékhelyeit, gyülekező helyeit, kórházait, önkéntes állomásait és olyan helyeket, ahol vizet lehet kapni.
„Egyszerűen pusztítják a helyi lakosságot. A várost kiirtják. Avgyijivka fokozatosan átalakul Marijinkává, amely már nem létezik” – hangsúlyozta a városvezető. Azt is hozzátette, hogy most olyanok is elhagyják a várost, akik egy hónapja azt mondták, semmilyen körülmények között nem mennek el az otthonukból. „Azok, akik az »orosz világ« beköszöntére vártak, látják, hogy nem érdemes. Az elmúlt hét során 94-en távoztak. A városban 1461 ember maradt. Kiürül a város” – mutatott rá Vitalij Barabas.

A jelentés szerint Barabas az ukrán televízió non-stop háborús adásában elmondta, hogy az elmúlt múlt napon is folytatódtak az ádáz csaták Avgyijivkánál, folyamatosak voltak a lövöldözések és légibomba-robbanások. „A lövöldözés nem szűnik sem éjjel, sem nappal. Az oroszok nagy erőket vetnek be gyalogosok és páncélozott járművek formájában, a veszteségeik őrületesen nagyok, de ez nem állítja meg őket, a támadások folytatódnak. Őrült módon bújnak elő, majd tucatnyian hagyják ott a fogukat, de mindig újra kezdik. Nagyon sok van belőlük” – tette hozzá.
Az avgyijivkai katonai városvezető hozzátette, hogy az elmúlt napokban az ellenség a megnövekedett nedvesség miatt kevesebb páncélozott járművet kezdett használni.
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy a múlt héten az orosz megszállók fokozták az Avgyijivka elleni offenzívát. Az oroszok aktívan ágyúzzák a várost és a szomszédos településeket.
