A kínai parti őrség vízágyúzni kezdte szombaton a Fülöp-szigeteki hajókat a Dél-kínai-tenger egyik vitatott területén. A két ország között összecsapások sorozata zajlik egy ideje a tengeren, a kínai fél vízágyúzása volt a legújabb darabja ennek.



Antony Blinken amerikai külügyminiszter pár napja ismételte meg Washington kiállását, miszerint mindent megtesznek azért, hogy biztosítsák a Fülöp-szigetek hozzáférését a vízi úthoz, amelyet Kína magának akar. Kína emiatt az utóbbi években egyre több összecsapásba áll bele szomszédjaival: a mostani esetben például egy fülöp-szigeteki civilhajót támadott meg. A hajó a Fülöp-szigeteki fegyveres erők tájékoztatása szerint súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett.



Kína a támadás után úszó akadályokat helyezett el a vízben, hogy „megakadályozza a hajó újabb belépését”. Majd a Fülöp-szigeteki parti őrség egyik hajójának útját is elállták, hogy megakadályozzák utánpótláshajók érkezését. A Fülöp-szigeteki parti őrség szóvivője szerint Kína figyelmen kívül hagyta a tengeri ütközések megelőzéséről szóló nemzetközi megállapodásokat is a támadások során.



Kína úgy tartja, „a törvénynek megfelelően lépte meg az intézkedéseket”, mert ők úgy gondolják, a hajók „illegálisan léptek be” a területre.



A kínai parti őrség az elmúlt időszakban egyre gyakrabban használ vízágyúkat Fülöp-szigeteki hajók ellen a Dél-kínai-tengeren, de voltak már hajóütközések is. Március 5-én a Fülöp-szigeteki parti őrség arról számolt be, hogy az egyik hajója megsérült, miután egy kínai őrhajóval ütközött a Dél-kínai-tengeren egy vitatott zátony közelében, és négy ember megsérült.



Kína több évtizede vitában áll Brunei-jel, Vietnámmal, Malajziával és a Fülöp-szigetekkel a Dél-kínai-tenger egyes szigeteinek hovatartozása kapcsán, ahol jelentős szénhidrogén-készleteket fedeztek fel.

A francia rendőrség könnygázt és vízágyút vetett be Párizsban csütörtökön, hogy feloszlasson egy palesztinokat támogató, betiltott gyűlést.



Gérald Darmanin belügyminiszter csütörtökön beszámolt arról, hogy a Hamász szombati támadása és az izraeli válaszlépés óta Franciaországban „több mint száz antiszemita incidenst” észleltek, amelyek kapcsán 41 embert őrizetbe vettek. A mintegy ötszáz zsidó vallási helyet és oktatási intézményt jelenleg 10 ezer rendfenntartó védi.






 Franciaországban él Európa legnagyobb muszlim és zsidó közössége is, Emmanuel Macron államfő arra szólította fel a franciákat, hogy maradjanak egységesek és tartózkodjanak attól hogy hazahozzák az Izrael és a Hamász közti konfliktust.



Párizsban két, csütörtökre tervezett palesztinbarát tüntetést már előre betiltottak a közrendre hivatkozva, majd a belügyminiszter utasította a prefektusokat, hogy országszerte tiltsanak be minden palesztinbarát tüntetést. Ennek ellenére több száz palesztinbarát tüntető gyűlt össze Párizs központjában csütörtök délután.



A tüntetők azt skandálták, hogy „Izrael gyilkos” és „Macron cinkos”. Az államfő korábban határozottan elítélte a Hamász által elkövetett terrortámadásokat, és megerősítette teljes támogatását Izrael iránt.



 A Hamász az egész muszlim világban tüntetésekre szólított fel a palesztinok támogatására.



A Gázai övezetet uraló Hamász terrorszervezet fegyveresei múlt szombaton meglepetésszerű támadást indítottak Izrael ellen, betörtek a zsidó állam déli részébe, és több mint 1300 embert meggyilkoltak, további mintegy háromezret megsebesítettek, és körülbelül 150 embert elraboltak, túszként tartanak fogva. A gázai egészségügyi minisztérium arról tájékoztatott, hogy az övezet ellen elindított izraeli hadműveletek halálos áldozatainak száma már meghaladta az 1500-at, a sebesülteké pedig a 6000-et.

Könnygázt és vízágyúkat is bevetett a rendőrség Athénban a mintegy kétezer, szezonálisan alkalmazott, tüntető görög tűzoltó ellen pénteken.







Az állandó státuszt és munkaviszonyt követelő tűzoltók igyekeztek eltorlaszolni az utat a görög főváros egyik fő közlekedési pontján. A demonstrációra a polgári védelem athéni főépülete előtt került sor –  jelentette a görög állami televízió. „A nyár folyamán, amikor tűzvész pusztított szerte az országban, hősöknek kiáltottak ki bennünket. Most már tudni sem akarnak rólunk” – panaszkodott riportereknek az egyik tüntető tűzoltó a helyszínen. Görögországban a tűzoltók mintegy egynegyedét csak szezonálisan alkalmazzák kora májustól október közepéig. Nyáron pusztító erdőtüzek tomboltak Athén környékén és Évia szigetén is.
