Három lengyel turista holttestét találták meg szombaton késő este a dominikai Punta Cana üdülőhelyen az óceánban – közölték a helyi hatóságok.
Az áldozatok holttestét az Arena Gorda nevű strandnál találták meg az óceánban, a Punta Canához tartozó Bavaro egy nagy szállodája közelében.
A helyi hatóságok szerint amikor a baleset bekövetkezett, erős áramlatok és szokatlanul nagy hullámok voltak a környéken. A veszélyre figyelmeztető vörös zászlójelzés ellenére több külföldi turista a bójákon kívülre úszott, ahonnan elsodródtak – számolt be róla az El Nuevo Diario helyi hírportál. A helyszínre siető mentőknek további két turistát sikerült kimenteni a háborgó óceánból. Egy portugál állampolgár az újraélesztési kísérletek ellenére a parton halt meg, egy orosz állampolgárt kórházba szállítottak.

A brit rendfenntartók csaknem 600 embert fogtak el, akik megpróbáltak átkelni a La Manche-csatornán szombaton – számolt be a Jevropejszka Pravda a PA Media-ra hivatkozva.
A belügyminisztérium adatai szerint szombaton kilenc, 572 migránst szállító hajót fogtak el a La Manche-csatornán való átkelés közben.
A Nagy-Britanniába érkező migránsok száma idén elérte a 32 691-et, ami 22%-os növekedést jelent az előző év azonos időszakához képest, míg 18%-os csökkenést 2022 azonos időszakához képest.
A francia parti őrség adatai szerint idén körülbelül 50 ember halt meg a La Manche-csatornán való átkelés során. Ez a szám nem tartalmazza az elmúlt hetekben regisztrált számos halálesetet.
Október elején Nagy-Britanniában napi rekordszámú, a La Manche-csatornát kishajókon illegálisan átlépő migránsok száma 2024-ben 973 fő.
A legutóbbi határátlépésekre azt követően került sor, hogy Keir Starmer brit miniszterelnök új kezdeményezést indított a Nyugat-Balkánon migránsokat csempésző bűnbandák felszámolására.

A helyszínre kiérkező mentőszolgálatok munkájának eredményeként rátalálták a nőre, sajnos azonban már nem tudtak rajta segíteni.
Helyi mentőszolgálatok közlése szerint egy nő életét vesztette, miután egy tengerjáró hajóról a vízbe zuhant a Csatorna-szigetek közelében. A beszámoló alapján a kutató- és mentőszolgálat emberei rögtön kutatni kezdtek a 20 év körüli nő után.
A BBC szerint a helyszínre Guernsey-ről a Channel Islands Air Search egyik repülőgépe, valamint Cherbourg környékéről egy ott állomásozó helikopter is érkezett, míg más szakemberek mentőcsónakokkal folytatták a munkát.
Mint írják, a Les Casquets sziklacsoporttól északra és az Alderney szigettől nyugatra lévő területet fésülték át, amelynek eredményeként rátalálták a fiatal nőre, sajnos azonban már nem élt. Az orvosok később halottnak nyilvánították.
A mentőszolgálat megerősítette, hogy a brit és francia rendőrség vizsgálatot folytat a haláleset ügyében, valamint hozzáfűzték: az MSC Virtuose hajó, amelyen az áldozat utazott, jelenleg egy southamptoni kikötőben áll.

Az elmúlt hétvégén 66 ember, köztük 10 gyermek fulladt vízbe Ukrajnában, a legtöbb áldozatot Kijev, Cserkaszi és Dnyipropetrovszk megyék vizei követelték – számolt be hétfőn az rbc.ua hírportál a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálatának Facebook-közlésére hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint „szerencsére 11 embert sikerült kimenteni a vízből, köztük 4 gyereket”. A szolgálat szerint 2024 eleje óta összesen 672 ember halt meg Ukrajna vizeiben, köztük 76 gyermek.
A vízi mentők óvatosságra intik a nyílt vizekben fürdőzőket: mérjék fel fizikai képességeiket, csak úszásra alkalmas helyeket válasszanak, ne ússzanak be túl messzire, különösen ismeretlen vízben, ügyeljenek a gyerekekre. „És ne feledjék: a víz nemcsak felfrissít a melegben, hanem az életet is elveheti” – áll a katasztrófavédők közleményében.

Tragédia történt a beregszászi járási Bótrágyon, két iskolás kislány fulladt vízbe a minap. A hírt a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálata közölte.
Az információk szerint négyen sétáltak a vízparton, 10-12 év közötti gyerekek. Egyikük megcsúszott és a vízbe esett. Két kislány azonnal utána ugrott, hogy segítsenek rajta, egyikük kiúszott, a másik kettő azonban sajnálatos módon vízbe fulladt.
A gyermekek holttestét az esti órákban emelték ki a vízből.

A fiú fürdőzés közben fulladt a vízbe. Beesett a folyóba, az áramlat pedig egy mélyebb részhez sodorta, ahol elsüllyedt. Holttestét 58 kárpátmelléki és 35 Csernyivci megyei mentőszolgálati munkatárs kereste.

A helyi rendőrség közlése szerint három férfi péntek este a floridai tengerpartra látogatott, és ismeretlen körülmények között mindhárman megfulladtak, miután úszni mentek.
Az AP szerint a hatóságok egyelőre nem azonosították az áldozatokat, akiket csak „fiatal férfiakként” írtak le, csupán annyit árultak el a nyilvánosságnak, hogy a fiatalok péntek délután érkeztek Panama City Beachre, és azonnal úszni mentek.
Tommy Ford, a floridai Bay megye seriffjének közlése szerint este fél 8 környékén futott be a egy segélyhívás a rendőrségre, miszerint három férfi bajba került a part közelében.
A hatóságok a helyszínre siettek, a kutató-mentő csapatok pedig alaposan átfésülték a vizet, s végül este fél 11-re mindhármukat megtalálták, ám addigra már egyikükön sem tudtak segíteni. Egyelőre nem tudni, mi vezetett a tragédiához.

Mikolajiv megyében meghalt egy fiú, aki fuldokló testvérét igyekezett menteni. A tragédia egy elárasztott kőbányában történt a Pervomajszkij járásban, a Kamjanij Miszt kistérséghez tartozó Kumari falu közelében – jelentette a TSZN a Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálata (DSZNSZ) Mikolajiv Megyei Főosztályára való hivatkozással.
A két testvér horgászni ment a tóra. Amíg egyikük a horgászfelszerelést rakta ki, a másik úgy döntött, elmegy úszni. A 16 éves Volodimir azonban fuldokolni kezdett, és Vladiszlav, az idősebb testvér a segítségére sietett.
„Ebben az időben egy Ruszlan nevű fiú és a nővére, Olena a kőbánya túloldalán pihent. A fiú látta, hogy Vladiszlav, aki megpróbálta kimenteni öccsét a vízből, elerőtlenedik, és mindkét testvér megfulladhat. A fiú azonnal a segítségükre sietett, és elsőként a fiatalabb Volodimirt ragadta meg. Az azt mondta, hogy vele minden rendben van, s kérte Ruszlant, hogy mentse meg idősebb testvérét” – ismertette a részleteket a DSZNSZ.
Megmentője partra húzta a Volodimirt, ahol nővére elsősegélyben részesítette őt, majd visszatért a vízbe, hogy megtalálja a másik fiút, de nem járt sikerrel.
Az idősebb testvér holttestére a katasztrófaelhárítók bukkantak rá, akik gumicsónakkal kutatták át a víztározót.

Augusztus 2-án meghalt egy férfi Husztbaranya (Boronyavo) községben, tóba fulladt.
Ukrajna Állami Sürgősségi Szolgálata Kárpátalja Kirendeltségének ügyeleti részlegére szerdán 18 óra 55 perckor érkezett a bejelentés egy személy fulladásáról. Ismeretes, hogy az elhunyt egy 1974-es születésű husztbaranyai lakos volt.
A férfi holttestét 21 órakor kiemelték a vízből és átadták a rendőrségnek. A huszti városi búvár- és mentési osztály 5 munkatársa vett részt a műveletben 2 technikai eszközzel.
