Több ezer palesztinpárti tüntető gyűlt össze Washington központjában szombaton, hogy Izrael ellen és a palesztinok mellett tüntessen, részben a Hamászt támogatva és tűzszünetet követelve.
A Fehér Ház közelében összegyűlt tüntetők főként azt követelték, hogy állítsák le a harcokat a Gázai övezetben, illetve az Egyesült Államok hagyjon fel Izrael támogatásával.
A helyszíni beszámolók szerint a tüntetők az Egyesült Államok több államából utaztak a fővárosba palesztinbarát szervezetek hívására, többen buszokkal érkeztek Illinois és Ohio államból.
A megszólaló tüntetők egy része azt hangoztatta, hogy kifejezetten a palesztin emberek mellett szeretne kiállni, de az iszlamista Hamászt nem támogatja. Mások ugyanakkor a Hamász cselekedeteit elfogadhatónak mondták, mert szerintük az Egyesült Államokban hivatalosan terrorszervezetnek számító mozgalom a palesztinok szabadságáért harcol.
Pénteken Kaliforniában mintegy 200, többségében békés palesztinbarát tiltakozó megakadályozta egy amerikai kormányzati tulajdonban álló kereskedelmi hajó elindulását Oakland kikötőjéből. A palesztin zászlókat lobogtató aktivisták azt követelték, hogy Washington állítsa le Izrael támogatását.

Egy férfi azt állította, hogy bombát helyezett el a teherautójában a washingtoni Capitolium könyvtárának közelében – közölte a CNN.
A hírportál azt írja, hogy a férfi egy fekete teherautóval hajtott a járdára a Kongresszusi Könyvtár előtt helyi idő szerint reggel 9 óra 15 perckor. Ekkor szólt, hogy bombája van, a rendőrök a fenyegetés után kiürítették a környéket.
A rendőrök tárgyaltak a férfivel, de nem sikerült sok információt megtudni róla. A CNN szerint a férfi egy videót is közzétett a Facebookon, amelyben elmondta, hogy tart egy bombát az autójában, és hogy „forradalomra” készül.
Az érintett épületekben tartózkodókat e-mailben figyelmeztették, hogy hagyják el a helyszínt, a legfelsőbb bíróság épületét is kiürítették. A Szenátus és a Képviselőház egyébként most nem ülésezik.

Помічник народного депутата від «Слуги народу» Олександра Куницького - Дмитро Ніконов вистрілив у чоловіка з травматичного пістолета і поранив його в ногу. Зазначимо, що Ніконов також є директором ТОВ «Автоентерпрайз», яке займається експлуатацією зарядних станцій для автомобілів.За словами Ніконова, незнайомий йому водій припаркувався біля зарядної станції. Ніконов попрохав чоловіка переставити автомобіль на інше місце, але той повівся агресивно і вдарив Ніконова в обличчя. Захищаючись, директор «Автоентерпрайз» вихопив травматичний пістолет і вистрілив у землю, випадково поранивши опонента у палець ноги.За словами пораненого чоловіка, коли він припаркував свій автомобіль, до нього підійшов Ніконов і попрохав переставити машину на інше місце. Він відмовився. Тоді помічник нардепа став грубити, бити по його машині, а коли водій вийшов, вдарив його декілька разів і вихопив пістолет. Водій вдарив Ніконова у відповідь, намагаючись вибити пістолет з рук, але це йому не вдалося, після чого Ніконов почав стріляти і поранив його.Зауважимо, що в Україні обмежено право на володіння травматичної зброєю. Таке право мають кілька груп громадян, одна з яких – журналісти. Саме журналістський дозвіл має Дмитро Ніконов. Ми декілька разів запитали у директора «Автоентерпрайз», журналістом якого видання він є - відповіді не почули. На фотографіях, що з’явилися у мережі, вказано, що Ніконов є журналістом ТОВ «Громадська преса України». Згідно з реєстром друкованих ЗМІ, компанія видає журнал «Новини Батьківщини» - знайти сайт або публікації журналу в Інтернеті нам не вдалося.На місце події прибула депутатка Харківської міської ради від «Слуги народу», помічниця нардепа Олександра Куницького - Аліна Мустафаєва, а також інші особи. Один з чоловіків - знайомий Ніконова, намагався перешкоджати «Антикорупційному блоку» у законній журналістській діяльності, за цим фактом до поліції подана відповідна заява та відомості внесені до ЄРДР.

Golyózáport zúdított Kuba washingtoni nagykövetségének épületére egy férfi csütörtökön – adta hírül a rendőrség.
Az elkövetőt, a 41 éves Alexander Alazót a rendőrség feltételezése szerint „gyűlölet” motiválhatta, de hogy pontosan mi, még nem tudni. A texasi férfi AK-47-es karabéllyal lőtt több sorozatot az épületre annak főbejáratánál. A rendőrség Alazót őrizetbe vette, autójában a fegyver és több tár lőszer mellett egy zacskó fehér port is talált, de hogy mit, azt nem közölték.
