A környékbeli Pas-de-Calais prefektúra tisztségviselője, Christophe Marx a sajtónak azt mondta: az áldozatok feltehetően szudáni állampolgárok, a balesetet pedig motorhiba okozhatta.
A balesetben 16-an megsérültek, hárman súlyosan – tájékoztatott, hozzátéve, hogy az ügyben vizsgálat indult.

Zátonyra futott Bulgária partjainál az úgynevezett orosz szellemflottához tartozó egyik olajszállító hajó, amelyet Ukrajna november végén támadott meg a Boszporusznál – közölte szombaton Anton Zlatanov, a bolgár határvédelmi rendőrség vezetője. A helyi hatóságok közölték, hogy igyekeznek kimenteni a hajó legénységét.
Zlatanov kifejtette, hogy a Kínában bejegyzett, a gyanú szerint illegális orosz olajszállításra használt Kairos nevű hajó legénységét az időjárás és a magas hullámok miatt egyelőre nem lehet evakuálni. Szavai szerint a hajót a bolgár határőrség pénteken, dél körül észlelte.
„Az első órákban a legénység nem lépett kapcsolatba a bolgár hatóságokkal. Később azonban már válaszoltak, és jelezték, hogy tíz ember tartózkodik a fedélzeten, és szeretnék, ha kimentenék őket” – magyarázta Zlatanov. Elmondta, hogy most az olajszállítót folyamatosan megfigyelik az időnként négy méter magasságot is elérő hullámok miatt, és a határőrség egy speciális felszereléssel felszerelt hajója készen áll a beavatkozásra.
„Két vontatóhajó és egy helikopter is készen áll a mentési művelethez való csatlakozásra” – tette hozzá.
Törökország november 28-án jelentette, hogy a Kairos Novorosszijszk fekete-tengeri orosz kikötőváros felé hajózott, amikor külső támadás érte, és kigyulladt körülbelül 28 tengeri mérföldre a török partoktól. A Kairos szerepel azoknak a hajóknak a listáján, amelyek szankciók alá esnek Oroszország Ukrajna elleni háborúja miatt. A hajó Ahtopoltól körülbelül egy tengeri mérföldre futott zátonyra, Bulgária délkeleti csücskénél, közel a török határhoz.

Zátonyra futott egy Ukrajnából indult gabonaszállító teherhajó a Szuezi-csatornában, folyamatban van felszínre hozása – közölte hétfőn az Al-Arabiya TV-vel a Szuezi-csatorna hatóság elnöke.
A VesselFinder és a MarineTraffic nyomkövető rendszerek adatai szerint egy Marshall-szigeteki zászló alatt közlekedő hajóról van szó. Az ukrán gabonakivitelt felügyelő isztambuli székhelyű Közös Koordinációs Központ (JCC) szerint a hajó december 25-én indult el az ukrajnai Csornomorszk kikötőjéből Kínába 65 970 tonna kukoricával.
Az ENSZ, Törökország, Ukrajna és Oroszország képviselőiből álló JCC közölte, hogy a hajó január 3-i ellenőrzése után kapott engedélyt Isztambulban a továbbutazásra. A Szuezi-csatorna a világ egyik legforgalmasabb vízi útvonala és a legrövidebb hajózási útvonal Európa és Ázsia között.
A legfrissebb információk szerint a Szuezi-csatornán az akadályokat elhárították, „a forgalom újra normális”.

Alig egy évvel a Szuezi-csatornát megbénító incidens után ismét bajba került a cég egyik konténerhajója.
Mint ismert: a cég konténerhajója, az Ever Given tavaly tavasszal elakadt a Szuezi-csatornában, megbénítva ezzel a tengeri útvonalat.
Ezúttal az Ever Forward nevű hajó került bajba. A 330 méter hosszú jármű Baltimore városából tartott Norfolkba, amikor megakadt a sekély vízben még vasárnap éjjel.
Az amerikai hatóságok közlése szerint senki sem sérült meg a balesetben és a hajó sem rongálódott meg.
Óriási szerencse, hogy ezúttal egyetlen hajó útját sem korlátozza az elakadt óriás.

75 emberrel a fedélzetén zátonyra futott a norvég Fred Olsen vállalat Bentago Express elnevezésű katamaránja, amikor a Gran Canaria szigetén fekvő Agaete kikötője felé tartott. A kompot a térségben dúló, Filomena névre keresztelt szélvihar letérítette útvonaláról, ez okozta a balesetet.
