Ismeretlen tettes vagy tettesek égő Molotov-koktélokat dobtak szerda hajnalban a Berlin belvárosában lévő Brunnenstrasse egyik épületére, amely egy zsinagóga mellett zsidó kulturális intézményeknek is otthont ad – számoltak be német források.
A berlini rendőrség megerősítette a támadást, amely szerdán hajnali 3 óra körül történt. Személyi sérülés nem történt és az épület sem gyulladt ki, de a rendőrség szerint a Molotov-koktélok – amelyek végül a közösségi ház tövében elégtek – alkalmasak voltak tűz okozására.

A rendőrség lezárta a Brunnenstrassét és elrendelte a nyomozást ismeretlen tettes vagy tettesek ellen – írja a Focus Online.
A Tagesspiegel című lap online kiadása szerint ugyan a környéken rendőri egységek járőröztek, de nem tudták megakadályozni a támadást.
A feszült izraeli-palesztin helyzet miatt a német rendőrség néhány nappal ezelőtt figyelmeztetést adott ki, mely szerint támadások várhatók zsidó intézmények ellen. A rendőrség figyelmeztetett arra is, hogy palesztinbarát elkövetők támadást intézhetnek a Berlinben és környékén élő „felismerhetően izraeli és zsidó személyek ellen”.
