У американському штаті Джорджія 4 вересня сталася стрілянина у школі. Невідомий чоловік відкрив вогонь по старшокласниках.
Внаслідок інциденту вже є загиблі та постраждалі. На місці працюють правоохоронні органи.
Інцидент зі стріляниною стався в середній школі Апалачі у Віндері, штат Джорджія. За попередніми даними, щонайменше чотири людини були вбиті та ще приблизно 30 зазнали поранень внаслідок стрілянини.
Підозрюваний студентського віку перебуває під вартою, але за даними джерел, невідомо, чи дійсно він відвідує школу. За даними джерел CNN, хлопцю, якого підозрюють у стрілянині, може бути 14 років.
Спеціальні агенти ФБР відреагували на звернення до середньої школи Апалачі, щоб допомогти місцевим правоохоронним органам у ліквідації наслідків стрілянини.
Окрім цього, представники правоохоронних органів у Джорджії кажуть, що вранці середня школа Апалачі отримала телефонний дзвінок із попередженням про те, що в п’яти школах буде стрілянина, і що Апалачі буде першою.
Хто дзвонив, невідомо. Офіційні особи повідомили CNN, що розслідують дзвінок і звідки він походить. Поліцейські також зазначили, що їм знадобиться кілька днів, щоб точно встановити всі обставини стрілянини і притягнути винних до відповідальності.
Як відреагував Байден на інцидент у школі
Спочатку у Білому домі писали, що президент Джо Байден був поінформований про повідомлення про стрілянину в середній школі Апалачі в Віндері. Там зазначили, що адміністрація продовжуватиме координацію з федеральними, державними та місцевими чиновниками, коли отримають більше інформації.
Згодом президент Джо Байден, висловлюючись про цей інцидент, сказав, що „ми не можемо продовжувати сприймати це як нормальне явище”, а саме збільшення кількості стрілянин у штатах США.
