Державна служба спеціального зв’язку та захисту інформації (Держспецзв’язку) України попередила про небезпеку шахрайської схеми з кредитними картками, що продовжує ширитися країною, нагадує про кримінальну відповідальність.
„Останнім часом у соціальних мережах з’являються оголошення з пропозицією здати банківську картку в оренду. За це обіцяють непогану плату (приблизно тисячу гривень на добу), більше нічого робити не потрібно. Також можуть траплятися оголошення з пропозицією легкої роботи, де „роботодавець” одразу просить номер картки для зарахування „зарплати”, або з пропозицією відкрити банківський рахунок на своє ім’я для отримання та переказу коштів від імені іншої особи… Важливо розуміти: за кожною такою пропозицією ховається небезпечна шахрайська схема”, – повідомила Держспецзв’язку у дописі на фейсбуці.
За її даними, за учасниками такої схеми закріпилася назва „дропи” (від англ to drop – кидати) або „грошові мули”. Це особи, які дозволяють третій особі (шахраєві) за фінансову винагороду використовувати свій банківський рахунок для операцій із коштами незаконного походження.
„Дропи” перераховують незаконно отримані кошти через різні банківські рахунки, використовуючи свої платіжні картки. Це робиться для того, щоб ускладнити роботу слідства. Такий процес дає змогу злочинним групам, залишаючись у тіні, працювати в різних країнах.
Як правило, це кошти, отримані незаконним шляхом – через торгівлю наркотиками, людьми, тероризм, фішинг, інші тяжкі злочини.
Крім того, банківські картки можуть бути використані для проведення фінансових операцій, пов’язаних із незаконною діяльністю, наприклад, для роботи онлайн-казино, які не мають ліцензії, ухилення від сплати податків тощо, додають у Держспецзв’язку.
Там зазначили, що найчастіше „дроп” не розуміє, що став частиною шахрайської схеми. Навіть якщо він і поцікавиться, то шахраї завжди розкажуть якусь красиву і правдоподібну легенду.
Головна небезпека – у тому, що „грошовий мул” – це співучасник злочину, нижча ланка злочинної схеми, яку правоохоронці знаходять найшвидше. Участь у таких схемах може мати серйозні наслідки – штрафи, конфіскацію майна і навіть позбавлення волі, попередили в Держспецзв’язку.
Українців закликають бути обережнішими з пропозиціями щодо легкого заробітку, уникати підозрілих пропозицій і не погоджуватися на участь у сумнівних схемах.
Людям, які підозрюють, що стали „дропами”, радять звернутися до Кіберполіції, подавши заяву на її сайті, а також до банку, рахунок у якому використовувався для відмивання коштів.
У пресрелізах міністерства юстиції США перераховано низку предметів розкоші (деякі з них можна назвати майже абсурдними), нібито куплених за рахунок пільгового кредиту, який уряд надав підприємствам, що борються з труднощами у зв’язку з епідемією коронавірусу.
Одного чоловіка звинувачують у тому, що він витратив гроші на стриптиз-клуби, іншого – що купив автомобіль Lamborghini.
Зокрема Девід Хайнс отримав у рамках програми близько 4 мільйонів доларів кредиту й за частину з них придбав предмети розкоші. Окрім італійського спортивного автомобіля за 318 тисяч доларів, чоловік витратив тисячі доларів на одяг, коштовності та дорогі готелі, а потім ще й на відпочинок на пляжах Маямі.
Зловживання американця, можливо, і не помітили б, якби він на своїй новій машині не збив пішохода. Підприємця затримала поліція, і згодом він постав перед судом за звинуваченнями в спричиненні аварії, а також шахрайстві.
Вінат Удомзін, мешканець штату Джорджія, витратив 57 789 доларів з отриманих 85 тисяч доларів кредиту на покупку однієї карти «Покемон».
Згадані випадки лише найбільш екстремальні серед великої кількості зловживань пільговими кредитними виплатами урядової програми США.
