Бруклінський федеральний суддя Браян Коган, який минулого року засудив до довічного ув’язнення відомого наркобарона Ель Чапо, виніс вирок українцю Олексію Цвєткову на прізвисько Пельмень, засудивши його до 16,5 року ув’язнення, – повідомила в п’ятницю російська служба BBC.







Згідно з повідомленням,
низькорослий Цвєтков, юнак спортивної статури, 
був одним із трьох ватажків «бруклінської бригади», яка не набула власної
назви й іменується в судових документах «синдикатом». «Іншими членами цього тріумвірату
прокурори називають колишнього одесита Леоніда Гершмана, якого Коган раніше засудив
до 16,5 року, і Віктора Зелігмана, якого Федеральне управління з боротьби із наркотиками
DEA характеризує в закритих документах як другу особу в українській мафії в США.
У серпні 2016 року Зелігман вилетів із нью-йоркського аеропорту ім. Кеннеді в Туреччину
і з тих пір знаходиться в розшуку», – йдеться в повідомленні.



У 2005 році
Цвєтков отримав 6,5 року  в’язниці у справі
так званої Бригади із Брайтон-Біч (район російської мафії в Нью-Йорку), або Бригади
Барі. Не маючи американського громадянства, його повинні були депортувати до України,
але йому вдалося уникнути депортації хитрощами.



Чекаючи на депортацію
в імміграційній в’язниці, він заявив, що нещодавно прийняв іудейську віру, і попросив
відстрочки, пояснивши своє прохання тим, в Україні він зазнає тортур через віросповідання.
Тому суддя наказав залишити Цвєткова в США, пославшись на конвенцію проти катувань.



Під час останнього
процесу Коган з’ясував, що про своє іудейство Цвєтков збрехав: після арешту в нього
виявили на руці велике татуювання хреста, а на шиї був дорогий натільний хрест із
діамантами. Окрім того, в мобільному телефоні затриманого знайшли фото з хрещення
його сина.



Кримінальна
кар’єра Цвєткова розпочалася кілька років потому, як хлопець приїхав до США, ще
в підлітковому віці. Коли йому було 17, хлопець відзначився вуличною крадіжкою.
У 20-річному віці вже приєднався до «Бригади Барі» із Брайтон Біч, ватажком якої
був Зиновій Барі і яка займалася шахрайством, фінансовими аферами, «кришуванням»
та тримала заклади грального бізнесу, як і більшість подібних бригад. Після ліквідації
злочинного угруповання влада довела: ним було скоєно ряд серйозних злочинів.



Вийшовши із
в’язниці в листопаді 2010 року, Цвєтков пообіцяв більше не зв’язуватися з криміналом,
однак через два роки опинився в новій банді під назвою «синдикат».
