Дотепер слідчі вважали, що молодий офіцер розвідки ВПС публікував документи лише для невеликої групи з 20–30 осіб. Користувач Discord розповів The New York Times, що існувала набагато більша чат-група, не приватна, а публічна, до якої міг приєднатися будь-хто.
Джек Тейшейра може отримати до 15 років ув’язнення за витік надсекретних документів. Нещодавно також з’ясувалося, що він почав зливати інформацію невдовзі після початку війни.

Ціллю кібератаки, що призвела до потрапляння в мережу великого масиву секретних документів Північноатлантичного Альянсу, став Генеральний штаб Збройних сил Португалії.
Про це пише португальська газета Diario de Noticias із посиланням на джерела.
За інформацією видання, про вразливість португальського Генштабу місцевий уряд дізнався лише після отримання повідомлення від США через посольство в Лісабоні.
Ситуацію влада Португалії вважає „вкрай серйозною”. Для її вирішення залучені Офіс національної безпеки, а також спецслужби і контррозвідка.
Очікується, що на зустрічі НАТО високого рівня, яка відбудеться наступного тижня, Португалія має надати пояснення, яким чином стався витік інформації. Попередньо було встановлено, що передача секретної інформації відбулася з порушенням протоколів безпеки.
„Ця кібератака була розтягнутою в часі й непомітною: її здійснювали через ботів, запрограмованих виявляти такі документи, які потім у кілька етапів вилучали”, – зазначило одне із джерел, що працює в безпекових структурах.
Джерела в португальському уряді, однак, запевняють, що інцидент не вплинув на відносини Португалії та союзників по Альянсу.
Нагадаємо, наприкінці серпня стало відомо, що НАТО проводить оцінку шкідливості впливу витоку секретних військових документів, якими група хакерів торгує онлайн.
Кіберзлочинці, які діють на російських та англійських форумах, продають 80 ГБ вкрадених даних за 15 біткойнів (приблизно 273 000 фунтів стерлінгів) і стверджують, що наразі продали пакет принаймні одному невідомому покупцеві.
У рекламі викрадених даних хакери стверджують, що володіють „секретною інформацією про співробітників компаній, які брали участь у розробці закритих військових проєктів”, а також „конструкторською документацією, кресленнями, презентаціями, відео- та фотоматеріалами, контрактними договорами та листуванням з іншими компаніями”.

Служба безпеки України викрила двох українських громадян, які були завербовані Федеральною служби безпеки Росії. Агенти виконували завдання зі збору таємних відомостей щодо боєготовності та забезпечення Збройних сил України.
Про це повідомляє прес-служба СБУ.
Оперативники задокументували, що агентам поставили завдання отримати секретні документи.
Зазначається, що для виконання завдання агенти ФСБ намагалися за гроші завербувати розвідника однієї з військових частин.
Спецслужба затримала завербованих українців під час контрольованої передачі „таємних” документів та спроби їх переправлення російським кураторам обумовленими каналами зв’язку. Операція відбувалася згідно зі ст. 208 Кримінального процесуального кодексу України.
„Наразі стосовно викритих агентів ФСБ РФ здійснюються процесуальні заходи за ч. 1 ст. 111 (державна зрада) Кримінального кодексу України”, – сказано у повідомленні.
