Грецька поліція заарештувала п’ятьох підозрюваних, які могли брати участь у підпалі табору біженців у с. Морія, у східній частині острова Лесбос. Міністр цивільної оборони Михаліс Грисогойдіс заявив, що пошуки ще двох злочинців тривають.
До підпалу в таборі біженців мешкало 12 000 людей. Наразі вони живуть у наметах на острові Лесбос. Того, хто не хоче жити в наметовому містечку, змушують це робити, зокрема, відхиляючи їх заяву про надання статусу біженця. Багато хто не наважується перебиратися в намети, оскільки бояться назавжди застрягти в наметовому містечку.
Міністр із питань міграції Греції повідомив: навіть якщо і не назавжди, проте зиму, на жаль, біженцям доведеться пережити в наметах.
