„Nem terrortámadás volt, hanem vészjelzés. Az amerikaiak csak a látványra és az erőszakra figyelnek fel. Mi lehet a legjobb módja annak, hogy megértessem az álláspontomat, mint egy mutatvány tűzijátékkal és robbanóanyagokkal” – írta Livelsberger a hatóságok által megtalált levelek egyikében.
A robbanásban hét ember könnyebben megsérült, a Trump International Hotelben azonban nem sok kárt okozott. A hatóságok szerint Livelsberger egyedül cselekedett.
A férfi levelei számos témát érintettek, többek között politikai sérelmeket, szociális problémákat, valamint hazai és nemzetközi kérdéseket, köztük az ukrajnai háborút. Az egyik levélben kijelentette, hogy az Egyesült Államok „gyógyíthatatlan beteg, és az összeomlás felé tart”.

Az FBI pénteken bejelentette, hogy öngyilkosságként vizsgálja a január 1-jén a Las Vegas-i Trump-szállodánál történt robbanást, amely során az amerikai különleges erők egy tagja egy Tesla elektromos autóban vetett véget életének – jelentette az MTI.
Spencer Evans, az FBI egyik nyomozója elmondta, Matthew Livelsberger a többi között súlyos PTSD-vel (poszttraumatikus stressz szindrómával) küzdött. Hozzátette, az Afganisztánt is megjárt veterán fejbe lőtte magát a robbanás előtt, amelyben szinte a felismerhetetlenségig összeégett.
A robbanás helyszínével kapcsolatban kiemelte, hogy Livelsberger nem táplált ellenséges érzelmeket Donald Trump megválasztott elnökkel szemben, ellenkezőleg, egyik búcsúlevelében azt írta, az amerikaiaknak „fel kell sorakozniuk” Trump és szövetségese, Elon Musk, az Egyesült Államokban élő dél-afrikai milliárdos mögött.
A nyomozó elmondta azt is, hogy nem találtak összefüggést a kevéssel korábban agyonlőtt New Orleans-i merénylő és Livelsberger között. A rendőrség terrortámadásként is vizsgálja az esetet, és azt is elemzi, hogy van-e kapcsolat a New Orleans-i merénylettel, mivel mindkét ügyben ugyanaz a cég biztosította a járművet – írja az Index.
Felrobbant és lángba borult egy Tesla Cybertruck szerda reggel közvetlenül a Las Vegas-i Trump-hotel bejárata előtt, egy embert meghalt, többen megsebesültek a helyi hatóságok közlése szerint. A robbanást lehetséges terrortámadásként vizsgálják, de konkrét indokot még nem találtak − tájékoztatott az NBC.
Kevin McMahill rendőrségi szóvivő szerint az is nyomozás tárgyát képezi, hogy a Tesla felrobbanása és a New Orleans-i támadás között van-e összefüggés, ugyanis mindkét esetnél ugyanaz a cég biztosította a járművet.
A Turo nevű cég közölte, hogy a vállalat segíti a nyomozást, de nem hiszik, hogy a két támadás elkövetője biztonsági fenyegetést jelentett volna, és büntetett előéletűek sem volt. A rendőrségi szóvivő ugyan elmondta, hogy tudják, ki bérelte a teherautót, de nem találtak kapcsolatot egyik terrorszervezettel sem.
Jeremy Schwartz, az FBI nyomozásért felelős megbízott különleges ügynöke szerint elszigetelt esetként vizsgálják a Tesla felrobbanását. A rendőrségi szóvivő elárulta, hogy Elon Musk segítségét is kérték, hogy nyomon követhessék a jármű útját.
A Tesla reggel fél nyolckor érkezett Las Vegasba, majd egy órával később robbant fel, melyben egy személy tartózkodott, aki a robbanás következtében életét vesztette. Elon Musk hozzátette, hogy tűzijátékok voltak a járműben, ez okozhatta a robbanást. Elon Musk, a Tesla vezérigazgatója a tulajdonában lévő X nevű platformon (korábbi nevén Twitter) adott hangot csalódottságának: „Ez őrület” – jelentette ki a rendszámtábla-blokkolásról szóló hírekre reagálva.

A vállalatnak egy volt munkavállalójának, Owen Diaznak kell megfizetnie az összeget, mert az ítélet szerint fekete bőrszínével szemben ellenséges munkakörnyezetben dolgoztatta a férfit.
Diaznak 2021-ben még 137 millió dollárt ítélt meg egy San Francisco-i bíróság az ügyben, ezt most 98 százalékkal csökkentette a szövetségi szintű bíróság, mert az összeget extrém magasnak találta.
Elon Musk, a Tesla vezérigazgatója azt írta a Twitteren, ha a cége bemutathatott volna új bizonyítékokat, a bíróság nulla dollárra csökkentette volna a kártérítést. Nem akart kinyílni az ajtó, az ablak pedig nem akart lemenni – ezt tapasztalta a kanadai Jamil Jutha, amikor North Vancouverben hirtelen leállt alatta a Tesla Model Y és füst kezdett el áramlani az utastérbe – írta a CTV Newsra hivatkozva az RTL. A férfi a televíziónak azt nyilatkozta, hogy „természetesen pánikba esett”, és csak úgy tudott kijutni, hogy kirúgta az ablakot, és kimászott a járműből, ami nem sokkal később teljesen kiégett.
Nagy szerencse, hogy az illetőnek volt elég lélekjelenléte és ereje, hogy kirúgja az ablakot – közölte a helyi tűzoltóparancsnok. Egy szemtanú szerint viszont a sofőrt a munkások szabadították ki. A lángokat végül a kiérkező tűzoltók oltották el.

A kanadai televízió jelezte, hogy a Tesla Model Y-ba egy vésznyitót is beépítettek, de az egyáltalán nem nyilvánvaló helyen van, és nehéz megtalálni. Az autó tulajdonosa elismerte, hogy nem tudott a mechanikus ajtónyitási módról, ami egyébként a vezetőoldali ajtón, az ablakemelő gombokat tartalmazó konzol alatt található. Az ajtók kinyitásához az egészet meg kell emelni.
Az RTL beszámolója szerint nem ez volt az első eset, hogy valaki egy kigyulladt Teslában rekedt. Az autó ajtaját ugyanis elektromos ajtónyitó gombbal lehet csak kinyitni, tűz esetében az elektromos rendszer azonban azonnal leáll, így bezárva az utastérbe a benne lévő embereket.
2019 februárjában egy floridai orvos halt meg, miután fának ütközött és kigyulladt a Teslája. A férfi halálát nem az ütközés, hanem a füstmérgezés okozta, mivel az ajtók azonnal bezáródtak és az orvos nem tudott kiszállni. A helyszínre érkező rendőrök és a járókelők sem tudtak rajta segíteni, mivel a karosszériában eltűnő kilincs nem jelent meg, így nem tudták kinyitni az ajtókat.
2021 júniusában Philadelphiában történt egy nagyon hasonló eset. A Tesla Model S Plaid menet közben gyulladt ki, és a sofőr csak úgy tudott kiszabadulni, hogy teljes erejével kilökte az ajtót.

Egy kisteherautóról lezuhanó vödörrel ütközött egy Tesla a magyar M2-es autópályán. Az utóbbi jármű mintegy 800 ezer forintos (több mint 82 ezer hrivnya) kárt szenvedett.
Az esetről a Budapesti Autósok portál olvasója tett közzé videót, aki egy Tesla Model 3 típusú gépjárművel utazott az autópályán.
A felvételen látható, hogy a kisteherautó platóján először megmozdul, majd le is zuhan onnan a vödör, a Tesla vezetőjének pedig nem volt lehetősége kikerülni azt. Az autó vezetője azt írta, hogy a jármű első lökhárítója, a géptető, valamint a kerámiabevonat is sérült, és hogy összesen körülbelül 800 ezer forint az okozott kár értéke.
Hozzátette azt is, hogy a kisteherautó vezetőjét több alkalommal is próbálta megállítani.
Próbáltam jelezni neki. Elmentem mellette, ablak lehúz, integet, hogy jöjjön ki a benzinkútra. Vészvillogó, index stb. Semmi reakciót nem mutatott, csak elment mellettem. Tovább már nem akartam piszkálni a történetet a forgalomban… – írta a Tesla vezetője.

Először áll bíróság elé egy sofőr az Autopilot üzemmód miatt, mivel helytelenül használta.A Zöld Pálya portál riportjából kiderült, a 27 éves Kevin George Aziz Riad egy Los Angeles-i autópályáról hajtott le a kocsival, majd átment egy piros lámpán, beleütközve egy másik autóba, amelynek két utasa életét vesztette.
Bár a bírósági iratok nem említik, az amerikai autópálya-felügyelet, a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) helyszínelői a baleset idején megállapították, hogy a vezetőtámogató rendszer működött az ütközés során.
A Tesla megtévesztő módon kommunikál az általuk gyártott autók önvezetéséről, az Autopilot nevű funkció a neve ellenére igazából csupán 2-es szintű önvezetésnek tekinthető, ami csak részben automatizálja a jármű kulcsfontosságú funkcióit.
2-es szintű önvezető autónak számít minden olyan jármű, amiben sávtartó asszisztens és adaptív tempomat található, azonban a sofőrnek vezetés közben folyamatosan a kormányon kell tartania a kezét, hogy vészhelyzet esetén be tudjon avatkozni.
Az elengedett kormánnyal való közlekedéshez már legalább 3-as szintű önvezetésre van szükség: a Mercedes EQS modellje nemrég meg is kapta az engedélyt, hogy a tulajdonosok elengedett kormánnyal közlekedjenek vele a német autópályákon, de maximum 60 km/h sebességgel – írta a lap.
