Pat Ryder sajtótájékoztatóján elmondta, hogy az Ádeni-öbölben az amerikai haditengerészet Mason nevű rombolója egy foszforsavat szállító tankerhajó, a Central Park segítségére sietett, amelyet szomáliai fegyveresek támadtak meg.
Miután a hadihajó a kalózokat megadásra kényszerítette, észlelte a két ballisztikus rakétát, amelyet Jemen irányából lőttek ki – számolt be az incidensről a Pentagon szóvivője hozzátéve, hogy az eszközök több mérföld távolságban a tengerbe zuhantak, így beavatkozást nem igényeltek.

Az űrben lőtt le egy ballisztikus rakétát a múlt héten Izrael, ami az első harci cselekmény lehetett a világűrben. A ballisztikus rakétát Jemenből indították el az Irán által támogatott húszi lázadók, és több mint 1500 kilométert repült az Arab-félsziget felett, mielőtt lelőtték.
Noha az izraeli hadsereg (IDF) nem sok információt árult el a rakéta elfogásáról, de azt lehet tudni, hogy az ország légiereje több Arrow 2 rakétavédelmi rendszert is működtet, melyek hiperszonikus elfogórakétákkal hárítják el a támadásokat. Az orosz külügyminisztérium és a védelmi minisztérium ellenőrzi azokat az információkat, amelyek szerint egy észak-koreai rakéta lezuhant Oroszország kizárólagos gazdasági övezetében. Egyelőre nem erősítették meg a híreket – erről az orosz külügyminiszter-helyettes, Andrej Rudenko beszélt.
Kollégáim a védelmi minisztériummal együtt folytatják a nyomozást ebben az ügyben, de egyelőre nincs egyértelmű információnk arról, hogy a rakéta valóban az orosz gazdasági övezetben lenne – mondta a diplomata.
Észak-Korea július 12-én tesztelt egy Hwasong-18 szilárd tüzelésű interkontinentális ballisztikus rakétát (ICBM). A kilövést személyesen Kim Dzsongun észak-koreai vezető irányította. A próbaindítás során az ICBM 1000 kilométeres távolságot tett meg, és több mint 70 percig volt a levegőben. Ez az eddigi leghosszabb távú phenjani ICBM-teszt, azonban az előrelépés a korábbi kísérletekhez mérve csekély. Szakértők ennek ellenére arra figyelmeztetnek, hogy ha lassan is, de Észak-Korea folyamatosan fejlődik a nukleáris fegyvert is szállítani képes ICBM rakétákkal.
Az orosz külügyminisztérium szóvivője, Maria Zaharova szerint egy ENSZ-jelentés állítja, hogy a július 12-én fellőtt észak-koreai rakéta az orosz gazdasági övezetben van.
Hozzátette, hogy Moszkvának eddig nincs ilyen információja – írta meg a TASZSZ orosz állami hírügynökség.
Észak-Korea 2017 óta tesztel 14 550 kilométeres vagy nagyobb hatótávolsággal rendelkező rakétákat. A legtöbb ilyen próbakilövést 2022-ben hajtották végre, szám szerint hetet. Idén már négy ilyen tesztre volt példa.

Észak-Korea rövid hatótávolságú ballisztikus rakétát bocsátott fel vasárnap a Keleti-tenger irányában, a dél-koreai hadsereg szerint ez volt a negyedik ilyen erődemonstráció egy héten belül, miközben Szöul és Washington öt év óta a legnagyobb közös hadgyakorlatot tartja.
A dél-koreai vezérkari főnökök egyesítette bizottsága arról számolt be, hogy egy rövid hatótávolságú ballisztikus rakétát észleltek, amelyet a szomszédos ország északnyugati részén fekvő Észak-Phjongan tartományból indítottak el. A japán védelmi minisztérium tájékoztatása szerint a rakéta ötven kilométeres magasságba jutott, mintegy 800 kilométeres távolságot tett meg, majd becsapódott a tengerbe.
Dél-Korea hétfő óta az elmúlt öt év legnagyobb katonai hadgyakorlatát tartja az Egyesült Államokkal közösen, amelynek célja az együttműködés megerősítése az északi fenyegetés felerősödésével szemben.
A „Szabadságpajzs” elnevezésű katonai manőver a tervek szerint március 23-ig tart.
Az ilyen hadgyakorlatok rendszeresen kiváltják Észak-Korea haragját.
Phenjan ezeket a területe elleni megszállás főpróbájának tekinti, és válaszul „megsemmisítő” fellépést ígér.
A vasárnapi rakétaindítást pénteken megelőzte egy interkontinentális ballisztikus rakéta felbocsátása.
Ez volt a második ilyen rakétakísérlet idén, amelyet a Hvaszong-17-típusú, az észak-koreai rakétaarzenál legerősebbikével hajtottak végre és egybeesett Jun Szok Jol dél-koreai elnök tokiói látogatásával.

Interkontinentális ballisztikus rakétát lőtt ki Észak-Korea pénteken, a rakéta a japán parti őrség és Hamada Jaszukazu nemzetvédelmi miniszter beszámolója szerint több száz kilométert tett meg, és körülbelül 210 kilométerre Hokkaido szigettől csapódott be a tengerbe.
A Thaiföldön tartózkodó Kisida Fumio japán miniszterelnök elfogadhatatlannak nevezte a kísérletet, de jelezte, hogy a rakéta kárt feltehetően nem okozott.
Tokió számításai szerint a lövedék a Japán kizárólagos gazdasági övezetéhez tartozó körzetben érkezett a tengerbe.
Elsőként a dél-koreai hadsereg számolt be arról, hogy Phenjan ismét olyan rakétát indított el, amellyel az ENSZ Biztonsági Tanácsának határozatai értelmében nem lenne szabad kísérleteznie.
Az interkontinentális ballisztikus rakéták a leghosszabb hatótávolságú észak-koreai fegyverek, és Phenjan azon dolgozik, hogy akár az Egyesült Államokat is elérhesse velük. Észak-Korea több évig szüneteltette a kísérleteket ezekkel a rakétákkal, de idén felújította a teszteket.
Dél-Korea, Japán és az Egyesült Államok vezetői múlt hét végi találkozójukon a biztonsági együttműködés egymás közti fokozásáról állapodtak meg. Észak-Korea külügyminisztere arra figyelmeztetett, hogy ez kiszámíthatatlanabb helyzetet teremtett a régióban, és Phenjan a korábbinál „hevesebben” kénytelen reagálni rá.

Észak-Korea újabb, egyelőre azonosítatlan ballisztikus rakétát lőtt ki a Japán-tenger irányába – jelentette be péntek reggel a dél-koreai hadsereg. A szöuli katonaság további részletekkel nem szolgált.
Az újabb fegyverkísérletet a kommunista ország azt követően hajtotta végre, hogy találkozott a japán, az amerikai, a dél-koreai külügyminiszter-helyettes, és megállapodtak abban, hogy megerősítik elrettentő erejüket a térségben.
Megállapodtunk, hogy megerősítjük az együttműködésünket, hogy Észak-Korea azonnal hagyjon fel minden illegális tevékenységgel, és térjen vissza a nukleáris leszerelési tárgyalásokhoz – nyilatkozta a dél-koreai miniszterhelyettes, Cso Hjun Dong.

Egy friss ukrán hírszerzési jelentés szerint meglehetősen veszélyes fegyver jelent meg a határaik közelében, amelyeket Oroszország más pontjáról szállítottak oda.
Új és baljós fordulatot vett az orosz katonai felsorakozása az ukrán határ közelében, ugyanis hírszerzési jelentések és fényképek, videók alapján Iszkander-M típusú rövidhatótávú ballisztikus rakéták jelentek meg az ukrán határon.
Az ukrán védelmi minisztérium jelentése szerint jelenleg 36 Iszkander-indítót azonosítottak be a határaik közelében – írja a The Drive. Kiindulva az Iszkanderek hatótávjából, akár kulcsfontosságú városokat és Kijevet is el tudnák találni az indítók jelenlegi helyéről.
A minisztérium szerint már majdnem a végénél járnak az oroszok a katonai átcsoportosításnak, a jelentésben pedig az Iszkander-M megjelenését emelték ki, mint aggasztó és kritikus fegyver a potenciális konfliktusban.
A különböző, közösségi médiában is megosztott képeken és videókon pedig az is látszik, hogy nem csak a rakétarendszert, hanem már a rakétákat is elkezdték az ukrán határrégió közelébe szállítani más orosz területekről.
Az Iszkander azért is okoz nagy riadalmat, mert 500 kilométeres hatótávjával számos célpontot el tud találni, amelyek komoly veszteséget jelentenének Ukrajna számára. Ráadásul „bunkerrobantó” rakétákkal is meg lehet tölteni, mely a védekezést teszi nehézkessé.
A ballisztikus rakétarendszer átmozgatása után azon aggodalmak is fokozódtak, hogy Moszkva taktikai atomfegyvereket is Ukrajna közelébe szállíthat – ezeket feltehetően nem vetnék be ugyanakkor, szigorú nemzetközi tilalom vonatkozik erre.
Az ukrán védelmi minisztérium arra alapozta felmérését, hogy három orosz brigádot érzékeltek a határok közelében, melyek 36 Iszkander-kilövő használatára alkalmasak. Rob Lee biztonsági szakértő szerint viszont a térségben már ennél is több, akár négy brigádnyi kilövő lehet, mintegy 50.
Amennyiben Moszkva inváziót indít, az Iszkander-M rendszert elsősorban arra használhatják, hogy kritikus védelmi infrastruktúrákat pusztítsanak el egy szárazföldi hadművelet előtt. Ezen esetben akár kommunikációs pontokat, parancsnoki központokat és még kifutókat is célba vehetnek, hogy megnehezítsék a hadsereg dolgát.
Amennyiben Ukrajna nyugatabbi felén lévő célpontokat is ki tudnak lőni, azzal úgy okoznának pusztítást, hogy az orosz légierőt veszélybe sodornák, így ők is zavartalanul tudnának működni. Ukrajna bár sok mindenre felkészülhet, egy Iszkander-támadásra nem elég fejlett a rendszerük.
Ukrajna szárazföldi rakétavédelmi rendszerei meglehetősen korlátolt képességüket, egyedül a szovjet érából származó S-300V rendszerük az, ami képesek többé-kevésbé ballisztikus rakétákat semlegesíteni, ezek azonban pont, hogy vélhetően fő célpontok lesznek, amennyiben történik egy támadás.
